Lockette has signed his contract tender to remain with the Seahawks, 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
His one-year deal with the team is reportedly worth $660,000, with Lockette now set to reprise his depth wideout/special teams role with the Seahawks. The 28-year-old recorded 11 catches for 195 yards and and two touchdowns in 2014, while adding three catches for 59 yards in the Seahawks' Super Bowl loss to the Patriots.

Lockette played only three offensive plays and saw no targets in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
It's a little surprising that the special-teams speedster wasn't used in the passing game following the trade of Percy Harvin. But the Seahawks also wanted to get rookies Paul Richardson and Kevin Norwood involved too. The Seahawks still show no inclination to stretch the field, so until that happens, Lockette won't have much of a role.

Lockette could see more targets after the Seahawks traded Percy Harvin on Friday.
Lockette is a speedster and seems to be a natural choice to stretch the field, but the Seahawks weren't using Harvin to stretch the field anyway. Rookies Paul Richardson and Kevin Norwood likely will be given increased opportunities to prove themselves. Lockette's role will depend on which way the offense evolves.

Lockette caught a 39-yard touchdown in Sunday's overtime win against Denver.
It was Lockette's lone catch, but it was pretty nonetheless. He's primarily a special teams player, although he has scored two touchdowns already this year, showing a nice blend of size and speed.

Lockette did not catch a pass on one target in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
He carried once for two yards. Expect a similar line most weeks as Lockette is mainly a special teams player.

Lockette caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown on three targets in Thursday's season opener against the Packers.
Lockette caught a 33-yard touchdown in the second quarter when Russell Wilson pulled up to pass on what appeared to be a read-option running play. Though uncovered by the defense, Lockette did have to break a tackle to reach the end zone, thus doing his part to score the second touchdown of his career. Despite his strong start to the season, Lockette is unlikely to play more than 10-15 snaps per game in the coming weeks, as he's competing with Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson for playing time behind starters Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin. Kearse, who caught one pass for eight yards on three targets Thursday, is still a better bet to produce than either Lockette or Richardson.

Bears worked out free agent WR Ricardo Lockette.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears are considering Lockette for a practice-squad spot. It would be unusual for the Bears to stash a 27 year old, but perhaps they're intrigued by Lockette's considerable speed.

49ers waived WR Ricardo Lockette.
Lockette's roster spot was needed for QB Seneca Wallace. We haven't had a blurb on Lockette since March when coach Jim Harbaugh said he was "fired up" about the 27-year-old receiver. Lockette is a straight-line speedster, but couldn't crack a 49ers receiving corps starving for talent.

Wed Mar 20 201313:33Harbs 'fired up' about WR Ricardo Lockette
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is "fired up" about WR Ricardo Lockette.
Welcome to the offseason, where end-of-roster talents get talked up as potential breakout players. "I'm sure there's things I can specifically name, but there's just something about him that I'm really fired up about," Harbaugh said. "He's got something else to him, too, besides just the analytical size, strength, speed. There's something special there. I just feel it." Where there's one pump-up article, there's usually another, but it's very hard to see Lockette making an impact in 2013.

Thu Feb 7 201317:0049ers ink WR Lockette to futures pact
49ers signed WR Ricardo Lockette to a reserve/future contract.
Lockette spent 2012 on the practice squad after failing to make it past final cuts in Seattle. The former undrafted free agent out of Fort Valley State has just two career catches, and likely won't last long in 49ers camp.

Mon Jul 30 201219:50Ricardo Lockette off to 'very strong start'
According to the Seattle Times, WR Ricardo Lockette has gotten off to a "very strong start" in Seahawks camp.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said in March Lockette was a player he saw a "big future in," and the local media may be starting to agree. However, WRs coach Kippy Brown believes Lockette still has a ways to go. "(He's) making progress," Brown said. "But we don't want to move him a lot because he performs better when we kind of keep him in one spot. But we could, and there will be times that we will."

Mon May 7 201220:40Carroll: 'Big future' for WR Lockette
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says WR Ricardo Lockette is "a guy we really see a big future in."
"He's got tremendous speed...He's got great skills," said Carroll in a radio interview on Friday. "He's 6-2, something and he's just learning the game. [He's] a very, very raw player but a guy that we really see a lot of great stuff." Undrafted a year ago, Lockette has a ton of competition for a roster spot, but should be able to latch on with a strong camp.

Sun Dec 18 201111:53Seahawks declare Week 15 inactives
Seahawks declared WR Ricardo Lockette, QB Josh Portis, S Jeron Johnson, LB Adrian Moten, OL Mike Gibson, OL Paul Fanaika, and DE Pep Levingston inactive for Week 15 against the Bears.
The Seahawks are the healthiest they've been in quite a while, with Tarvaris Jackson's arm strength back and the receiver corps in good shape since losing Sidney Rice. Defensively, Seattle has stepped it up in recent weeks.

Seahawks promoted WR Ricardo Lockette from the practice squad.
An undrafted rookie out of Fort Valley State, Lockette has great size (6-foot-3, 210 pounds), but wasn't considered more than a special teamer by most draft analysts last spring. His stay on the active roster could be short.
