The Vikings have released Harris, 1500espn.com reports.
Harris, who served as Green Bay's No. 3 running back in 2014, will now look to catch on elsewhere as a depth back, but he's well off the fantasy radar unless he lands in an ideal situation.

Harris had four carries for 27 yards and two receptions for 12 yards in Saturday's preseason win over Tampa Bay.
Harris didn't get the ball until the fourth quarter, while Joe Banyard was used in the second quarter. Banyard did lose a fumble, but Harris may be fifth on the depth chart at this point and may not make the final roster.
Thu Mar 19 201516:41Harris signed one-year contract with Vikings on Thursday
Harris signed a one-year contract with the Vikings on Thursday, according to his agent.
The 26-year-old former UDFA served as Green Bay's No. 3 running back in 2014, piling up 64 rushing yards on just 16 carries, along with 11 yards on a lone reception. It's still unclear whether Adrian Peterson will be back with the Vikings next season, but even if the six-time Pro Bowler isn't around, Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata will likely be ahead of Harris in the pecking order. Harris will probably have to fight for a roster spot, regardless of what happens with Peterson.

Harris won't be tendered a contract by the Packers and will become a free agent Tuesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
After missing the 2013 season due to a knee injury, Harris played third banana in the Packers' depth chart at running back in 2014, recording 16 rushes for 64 yards and one catch for 11 yards in 15 contests. He also acted as the primary kick returner for part of the year, averaging 20.7 yards on 22 returns. Expect him to catch on with another organization as a reserve RB.

Harris had 16 carries for 64 yards and one reception for 11 yards over 15 games in the 2014 season.
Harris' primary role in 2014 was returning kicks, but he did not run with the opportunity, and lost the job late in the year. He brought a different style to the table than either Eddie Lacy or James Starks, but he will likely need to earn his way onto the Packers' 2015 roster.

Harris ran the ball eight times for 52 yards in Sunday's victory over the Bears.
Harris received as many carries Sunday as he had all season entering the game, and he actually finished the blowout as the Packers' leading rusher. He did not get a chance to play until garbage time, but he ran hard and could have earned himself a few more carries down the road.

Harris had two carries for minus-one yard in Sunday's victory over the Panthers.
Harris saw action late in Sunday's game with the Packers comfortably ahead and fellow running back James Starks sidelined with an ankle injury. Harris has tallied just seven touches all season, but he would serve as the backup behind Eddie Lacy if Starks is forced to miss any further action.
Fri Oct 3 201413:55Harris did not record touch Thursday for second straight game
Harris did not record a touch Thursday for the second straight game.
Harris has not gotten a chance to run the ball the last two weeks despite the Packers winning both games fairly handily. Given that, and his standing as the third running back on the depth chart behind Eddie Lacy and James Starks, expect his contributions to remain minimal at best.

Harris caught one pass for 11 yards in Sunday's victory over the Jets.
Harris tallied more touches than backup running back James Starks, but neither player recorded a carry as the Packers leaned heavily on the passing game while climbing out of a 21-3 hole. Starks remains the top backup behind Eddie Lacy, and Harris will continue playing sparingly, primarily on passing downs.
Fri Sep 5 201401:21Harris could be bumped up on depth chart for Week 2
Harris could be bumped up on the depth chart for Week 2, after fellow Packers running back Eddie Lacy was diagnosed with a concussion Thursday night, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Harris had a poor Thursday night, as he gained seven yards on one garbage-time carry, and was removed from kick-return duties following a pair of questionable decisions. While his role in the offense was minimal with Lacy healthy Thursday, Harris is set to work as James Starks' top backup if Lacy can't play in Week 2 against the Jets.

Harris had 56 yards on 12 carries and 42 yards on two receptions in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.
Eddie Lacy handled just one drive, leaving plenty of first-team work for Harris and James Starks. The two would likely both get touches in the event of a Lacy injury, but Starks seems to have a pretty decent grip on the No. 2 spot on the depth chart.

Harris rushed seven times for 32 yards and caught one ball for two yards during Saturday's preseason win in St. Louis.
Harris didn't earn any reps with the first-team offense, as Eddie Lacy was followed by James Starks during Aaron Rodgers' two drives of the game. Starks couldn't muster much with his four carries, racking up nine yards in all, but he seems to be the primary backup to Lacy at the moment. Harris could draw closer in the competition, though, if he continues to produce in the preseason.

Harris gained 18 yards on seven carries and six yards on two receptions in Saturday's preseason opener against the Titans.
Eddy Lacy was held out, allowing James Starks to get the start, with Harris serving as the top backup. Starks is easily the preferred Lacy handcuff, but Harris could perhaps carve out a bit role in the offense.
Wed Jul 9 201422:27DuJuan Harris ruptured his patellar tendon
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Packers RB DuJuan Harris' 2013 knee injury was a ruptured patellar tendon.
We knew the injury was to Harris' patellar tendon, but not that it was ruptured. This is an injury that commonly derails running back careers, most notably and recently Cadillac Williams and Ryan Williams. Ruptured patellar tendons can sap explosion. Harris participated in OTAs, and in June coach Mike McCarthy stated Harris "looks like he's back to full strength." Harris projects as Green Bay's No. 3 tailback this season, behind Eddie Lacy and James Starks.

Thu May 29 201420:57DuJuan Harris participating in OTAs
Packers RB DuJuan Harris (knee surgery) is participating in OTAs.
A favorite of the coaching staff as recently as last offseason, Harris missed all of 2013 after "fluid and irritation" of his right patella forced him to undergo knee scoped. The 25-year-old is battling Johnathan Franklin and UDFA Rajion Neal for a role behind Eddie Lacy and locked-in backup James Starks.

Tue Aug 27 201313:40Packers send DuJuan Harris to injured reserve
Packers placed RB DuJuan Harris (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Coach Mike McCarthy made the announcement Tuesday. He didn't rule out the possibility of making Harris the Packers' injured reserve/designated for return player, but that's unlikely. Harris injured his right knee twice over the course of OTAs and the preseason, and likely needs surgery. Eddie Lacy will open the season as Green Bay's clear-cut lead back, and possibly operate as an every-down back. His fantasy value is soaring. Alex Green, Johnathan Franklin, and James Starks round out the depth chart.

Mon Aug 26 201314:57DuJuan Harris in doubt for Green Bay's opener
Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday that DuJuan Harris' (knee) availability for Week 1 against San Francisco is in doubt.
He's getting a second opinion, the results of which may determine whether Harris needs a scope. Already playing alongside Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay's shotgun offense, Eddie Lacy has a chance to open the season as an every-down back. Harris has injured his right knee twice since the start of Packers camp. Fourth-round pick Johnathan Franklin is a distant No. 3 on the depth chart.

Sun Aug 25 201315:05DuJuan Harris' timetable not yet known
Speaking at his Sunday presser, Packers coach Mike McCarthy gave no timetable fur DuJuan Harris' (knee) return.
It's not expected to be a long-term injury, but Harris has injured his right knee twice and there's a chance he could be "week to week." McCarthy explained he has not yet received "all the information," suggesting Harris went for an MRI. Rookie Eddie Lacy continues to look like a locked-in feature back.
