Robinson has been diagnosed with a strained knee and is expected to miss the rest of the Ravens' offseason program, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Robinson sustained the injury Tuesday, after which tests were performed on his MCL. Luckily, the team deemed the ailment a mere strain, but his pursuit of a fringe WR gig will likely be delayed until training camp.

Robinson sustained a knee injury during Tuesday's OTA and was carted off the practice field, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Robinson is slated for further tests on his MCL, but the initial diagnosis appears to be a sprained knee. Until the extent of the injury is clear, there's no telling how much time he may miss. However, at the very least, his status for the rest of the offseason program is questionable at best.

The Ravens have signed Robinson to a Reserve/Future contract.

Robinson caught just one pass for six yards in five games for Washington this past season, but the 2011 sixth-rounder could make a run for a spot on the Ravens' 53-man roster in 2015 as a deep threat in the team's wideout corps.

Robinson was cut to make room for Gabe Miller. The one-dimensional deep threat might get a look from a team that could use one, but he's unlikely to get on the fantasy radar in the foreseeable future.

Robinson lead the team with three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown in the first preseason game. He failed to keep his feet inbound on a second touchdown catch.

Robinson is competing for the fourth wide receiver spot. He always had the speed to beat people down field but never showed consistency in making plays.

Operating as a situational deep threat since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 draft, Robinson has totaled 29 catches for 602 yards (20.8 YPC) with five touchdowns over the last two seasons. He'll try to earn a similar role behind Pierre Garcon and Leonard Hankerson in Jay Gruden's rotational scheme.

With a big chance against a woeful secondary, Robinson came up short. The speedy deep threat saw just three targets, one of which saw him begging for a flag on the Redskins' final drive of the game. Robinson has some talent, but this coaching staff has never featured the No. 2 wideout and he hasn't made them start.

Robinson was targeted a season-high seven times. The coaching staff wanted to get a longer look at him with their season over. Robinson has a ton of deep speed. He entered the game with 219 yards receiving on the year. Robinson fell about two yards short of scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter. He's not a fantasy option, but Robinson will play heavy snaps the final two weeks.

Robinson drew a season-high six targets. Robinson's targets and playing time have been mostly random this season. He won't be worth WR5 consideration for Week 15.

His role hasn't changed with Leonard Hankerson out for the season and he continues to play behind Josh Morgan in two-wide sets. Robinson saw extended snaps at the Z receiver spot following Leonard Hankerson's knee injury. He responded by making a nice adjustment and fingertip catch on a 41-yard bomb to get the Skins on the board in the fourth quarter. We've seen Robinson make big plays like this before, but consistency has always been an issue. Even if Hankerson's injury proves serious, Robinson will be a desperation add only.

So much for getting Robinson more involved in the offense. The situational deep threat has three grabs on the year.

Coach Mike Shanahan said the Redskins need to get Aldrick Robinson more snaps.

"We've got a lot of belief in Aldrick, and he does have some big-play capabilities," Shanahan said. "We need to get him in the ball game a little bit more." That's easier said than done. Robinson is Pierre Garcon's direct backup at X receiver. Garcon isn't going to be taken out of the game much. Robinson caught a 45-yard touchdown last week but remains a 12-18 snaps per game player.

Robinson had a costly drop, failing to hold onto a perfect 57-yard pass from Robert Griffin III. RGIII laid it in perfectly to Robinson, who beat Rashean Mathis to the end zone midway through the fourth quarter. The score would have given Washington a 24-20 lead. Instead, it deflated the team. Robinson has just one catch for 13 yards through three games.

Robinson was injured near the end of the first half when he was cut down at the knees. He limped to the locker room, and a thigh injury is good news. The third-year receiver is said to have a roster spot "locked up" after stringing together strong practices. Through two preseason games, Robinson has three catches for 51 yards. He's an intriguing fantasy prospect in deep leagues.
