Williams (neck) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Williams, who racked up 76 tackles in 15 games in in 2014, is out there if you need him Sunday, but we'd like to see him get a full and productive game in before endorsing him as a fantasy lineup option.
Fri Oct 9 201514:53Williams (neck) probable for Sunday's game against Titans
Williams (neck) is probable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Williams missed the last two games with a neck injury, but all signs appear to be pointing towards the 25-year-old safety returning to the field Sunday. He's one of the better tacklers on the Bills and should be a decent play in IDP leagues if he can maintain his health.
Wed Oct 7 201512:39Williams back in full pads for Wednesday's practice
Williams, who has missed the last two games due to a neck injury, was back in full pads for Wednesday's practice, The Buffalo News reports.
The team expects Williams to play this week against the Titans. Williams is the Bills' best safety, and he and Corey Graham pretty nice tandem, an area that has suffered in this week's loss to the Giants with backups in there.

Williams (neck) has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants.
He made some appearances this week, but his injured neck isn't ready for prime time just yet. Baccari Rambo will pick up another start at free safety.
Wed Sep 30 201515:57Williams (neck) limited participant during practice Wednesday
Williams (neck) was a limited participant during practice Wednesday, Tyler Dunne of the Buffalo News reports.
Williams was able to practice with his jersey and helmet on, however he still wasn't wearing pads. Considering the 25-year-old safety was taken off in an ambulance just two weeks ago, he's making great strides in his quest to return to the starting lineup. That being said, head coach Rex Ryan will likely be cautious with his starting safety, meaning we won't know his status for Sunday's game until later in the week.
Tue Sep 29 201517:00Williams appeared in locker room Tuesday
Williams appeared in the locker room Tuesday, the first time he's been there since suffering a neck injury during the Bills' Week 2 loss to the Patriots, The Buffalo News reports.
Williams, the team's best safety, had no comment for the media and coach Rex Ryan says he's still sore. We'll see if he's able to practice at all this week. If not, Bacarri Rambo would be in line for his second straight start.
Fri Sep 25 201516:17Williams (neck) won't play Sunday against Dolphins
Williams (neck) won't play Sunday against the Dolphins, the Buffalo News reports.
After suffering a scary neck injury in Week 2, Williams didn't practice this week, and now that he has been officially ruled out, look for Bacarri Rambo to start in his place Sunday against Miami.
Fri Sep 25 201513:39Williams will not play Sunday in Miami
Williams, who suffered a scary neck injury in Sunday's loss to New England, will not play Sunday in Miami.
The fact that the team is reportedly talking about Williams being a decent possibility for Week 4 is incredibly encouraging news for those who saw him being taken off the field in an ambulance Sunday. Bacarri Rambo will start at free safety in Williams' place.
Wed Sep 23 201517:27Williams did not practice Wednesday
Williams did not practice Wednesday, Tyler Dunne of the Buffalo News reports.
Dunne and coach Rex Ryan called Williams a "stretch" to play against Miami this Sunday, so his practice status isn't surprising. Considering the 25-year-old safety was taken off in an ambulance during Sunday's game against the Patriots, calling Williams a "stretch" to play is terrific news, but if he is unable to go Duke Williams or Bacarri Rambo could get the start in his place.

Coach Rex Ryan called it "a stretch" for Williams' (neck) chances of playing this week in Miami, BuffaloBills.com reports.
Thankfully Williams is even in the discussion, as his injury initially looked terribly scary and we was taken off the field by ambulance. If Williams can't go this week, either Duke Williams or Bacarri Rambo will get the start at free safety in his place.

Williams has been released from the hospital after suffering a neck injury in Sunday's game against the Patriots, Mike Rodak of ESPN reports.
In one of the scarier moments of Week 2, Williams was taken off the field in stretcher and sent immediately to the hospital in an ambulance after becoming immobilized trying to tackle Julian Edelman. According to Bills PR, Williams went through a series of test and was granted release from the hospital. The severity of the injury is still unknown, but this is a great sign for the Bills.

Williams left Sunday's game in the third quarter with a neck injury that he suffered while trying to tackle Julian Edelman of the Patriots, the Buffalo News reports.
More on Williams' status as it arrives, but the situation Sunday was a scary one for the Bills' safety, as he was placed on a stretcher and taken away to the hospital in an ambulance after being immobilized.
Thu Aug 27 201517:38Williams back practicing this week
Williams, who left Sunday's practice with a tight hamstring, has been back practicing this week.
He's set to start at free safety alongside strong safety Corey Graham in what gives the Bills a pretty good unit. Williams finished the 2014 season - his first full season as a safety after starting his career as a cornerback - with 76 tackles and one interception in 15 games.
Sun Aug 23 201523:43Williams left Sunday's practice due to hamstring tightness
Williams left Sunday's practice due to hamstring tightness, BuffaloBills.com reports.
The Bills have been busting out hamstring injuries with the frequency of Ariana Grande hits lately. While the team looks like it'll have one of the better defenses in the league, they're not that deep, so hopefully this is a mild concern for the team's best safety.
Sun Aug 2 201520:43Williams full participant in training camp
Williams, who sat out all spring practices while recovering from offseason hip surgery, has been a full participant in training camp, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said Williams, "Actually the first day my expectations were to just be out there and know my responsibilities. But after being out there and running around out there on the field I felt like I haven't lost a step, which is a good thing. So it feels good to be back and flying around with these guys and working hard."
While the Bills have an all-out battle for the strong safety spot, Williams is the surefire starter at free safety. He has the potential to put up strong IDP totals given that he'll be a key part of a Rex Ryan defense with a fierce pass rush in front of him.

Williams, who will start at free safety, continues to recover from offseason hip surgery and the team would like to see him get enough reps in Rex Ryan's new defense, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said Ryan, "Aaron should be ready to go. He seems to be sharp and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the field."
The team has a youthful safety group, so they'll be counting on Williams to lead things. It'd be helpful if he could be running close to 100 percent by the time training camp rolls around, as the Bills aren't even sure who their starter will be opposite Williams. He's a key part of the team's defense this season.

Williams has not seen any action in the spring so far due to an undisclosed offseason surgery, BuffaloBills.com reports.
Coach Rex Ryan fully expects the team's clear-cut starting free safety to be ready to go come training camp.

Williams, who has started all 12 games this season, has recorded 57 tackles, four passes defensed and an interception.
Those are not great numbers considering his status as the team's best safety. Williams and the Buffalo defense have had an excellent season, but the way a player is used often comes into play in the fantasy world, and in this defense Williams simply isn't the tackle monger some safeties are in other systems. Factoring in the modest one pick, Williams is a middling IDP option at best even though he's on the field pretty much all the time.
