Morgan recorded six tackles (five solo), along with a sack and a tackle for loss Sunday in Cleveland.
Morgan has gotten off to a fast start rushing the passer, as he already has 3.0 sacks through two weeks in 2015. He's thoroughly outplayed prized free-agent acquisition Brian Orakpo at outside linebacker so far.
Fri Mar 13 201509:51Morgan re-signed with Titans on Friday
Morgan re-signed with the Titans on Friday, agreeing to a four-year, $30 million contract, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Morgan made a successful transition from down lineman to outside linebacker in defensive coordinator Ray Horton's 3-4 scheme last season, compiling 63 tackles and 6.5 sacks. In retaining Morgan and signing Brian Orakpo from Washington to man the other spot on the outside, the Titans shouldn't have too many issues with generating pass rush, especially with Jurrell Casey still around to cause headaches at defensive end. Morgan is still just 26 years old, so it's certainly possibly that we haven't even seen the peak of his abilities quite yet.
Sun Nov 23 201411:50Morgan (knee) active for Sunday's game at Philadelphia
Morgan (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Philadelphia.
If Morgan is one of your IDP options, he is available for consideration, but he may be less than 100% since being limited in practice this week.
Fri Nov 21 201415:59Morgan (knee) questionable for Sunday's game against Eagles
Morgan (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, The Tennessean reports.
Morgan was added to the injury report Thursday, likely indicating the issue originated in Wednesday's practice. He was a limited participant in practice both Thursday in Friday, leaving his status in doubt for Sunday.

Tue Jun 10 201410:39Derrick Morgan confirms he'll play 3-4 OLB
Derrick Morgan confirms he's been working as an outside linebacker in DC Ray Horton's new 3-4 defense.
A base 4-3 defensive end ever since high school, Morgan has never played in a 3-4. "Now that I have been in the defense a couple of months, I love it. It may be a blessing," Morgan said. "I never thought I would drop in coverage, but now that I am doing it, it is becoming more natural." Morgan is down to 260 pounds after playing near 270 last season. He'll likely play with his hand in the dirt on obvious passing downs. We also can't rule out a trade.

Mon Apr 28 201418:29Derrick Morgan expected to play OLB in 3-4
The Nashville Tennessean expects Derrick Morgan to play outside linebacker in DC Ray Horton's 3-4 defense.
Morgan has never played outside linebacker; he's been a 4-3 base defensive end dating all the way back to his college days at Georgia Tech. Edge rushers are edge rushers in today's game, so it might not be as big of a deal as it seems on paper. But with Kamerion Wimbley, Shaun Phillips, and Akeem Ayers also in the mix at outside 'backer, it's going to be a big training camp for Morgan.

Sun Feb 16 201411:06Ken Whisenhunt praises LE Derrick Morgan
Coach Ken Whisenhunt singled out LE Derrick Morgan as a player that impressed him after reviewing tape from last season.
Morgan, the 16th overall pick in 2010 and "offseason star" of camp last summer, registered 34 tackles and six sacks in 14 starts this past season. Pro Football Focus graded him out as a top-six pass rusher among 4-3 ends. The Titans are expected to transition to more of a 3-4 scheme under new DC Ray Horton, though they'll likely be "multiple" with their alignments. Most draft analysts in 2010 didn't like Morgan's potential fit in a 3-4. Some thought he possessed enough pass-rush skills for it. Morgan is 6-foot-3, 278.

Tue May 28 201320:27Derrick Morgan recovering from knee scope
Titans LE Derrick Morgan recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, but should be ready for training camp.
Morgan is participating in OTAs, but it's unclear to what degree. Morgan is coming off a strong 2012, where he registered 6.5 sacks and graded out as the No. 4 4-3 defensive end in Pro Football Focus' ratings. The No. 16 pick of the 2010 draft, Morgan was limited to four games as a rookie by a torn ACL, but has missed just one contest over the past two seasons.

Wed Aug 15 201207:58Derrick Morgan still battling with Egboh
Titans DE Derrick Morgan continues to split first-team reps with Pannel Egboh.
It's a bad sign that Morgan, the No. 18 overall pick in 2010, can't separate from a guy who has spent the last three seasons on practice squads. Egboh started the Titans' preseason opener last week. It's possible that Morgan will end up as a pass-rushing specialist while the bigger Egboh gets the early-down reps.

Sun Aug 5 201212:03Derrick Morgan working with 2nd team
Titans 2010 first-round pick Derrick Morgan has been working with the second-team defense at training camp.
He's practicing behind annual practice squad-type Pannel Egboh. Morgan has reportedly been assured by defensive coordinator Jerry Gray that he's "still the starter" at left end. Morgan was the 16th overall draft pick three Aprils ago.

Sat Jul 21 201212:07Derrick Morgan expected to start
The Tennessean confirms that Derrick Morgan is expected to start at left defensive end this season.
Morgan played last season at less than 100 percent after sustaining an ACL tear in 2010. Now nearing full health, he'll bookend free-agent addition Kamerion Wimbley. There's some sleeper appeal here in deeper IDP formats.

Mon Jun 25 201209:37Derrick Morgan ditching his knee brace
DE Derrick Morgan is no longer wearing a knee brace.
Morgan tore his ACL during Week 4 of the 2010 season and managed just 2.5 sacks while wearing the brace in 2011. He says he was only 75-80 percent. Now the former first-round pick says he's at 100 percent and feeling no pain. The Titans believe Morgan has turned the corner.

Sun May 20 201217:27Titans expect Derrick Morgan to take a leap
Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray expects the addition of RE Kamerion Wimbley to help spur LE Derrick Morgan's production.
"Wimbley, your job is to get Morgan to get that double-team off you, to get that chip off you, because if you don't they'll chip you the whole year," Gray said. Coming off a torn ACL in 2011, Morgan managed just 30 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 15 appearances (10 starts). He should regain explosion a full year removed.

Sat Feb 25 201215:15Munchak expects 'big things' from DE Morgan
Titans coach Mike Munchak says the team expects "big things" out of DE Derrick Morgan in 2012.
The 16th overall pick in the 2010 draft, Morgan managed 2.5 sacks and 30 tackles in 15 appearances (10 starts) last season. "I think he has that potential, yes," Munchak said. "We are excited about him. I feel like last year he was our fifth rookie starter. I think he has a year behind him with his injury, and we are expecting big things out of him." The injury Munchak referred to was Morgan's rookie-season ACL tear. He'll be a full year removed in 2012.

Tue Feb 7 201213:46Titans plan to upgrade defensive front seven
Titans GM Ruston Webster plans to focus on the defensive front seven and upgrading the rushing attack this offseason.
The team has a few building blocks up front in DT Jurrell Casey, pass rusher Karl Klug, and 2010 first-rounder Derrick Morgan, but Jason Jones, Dave Ball, William Hayes, and Barrett Ruud are all free agents. At $35 million under the cap, the Titans are in "pretty good shape," and Webster believes there's a strong crop of free agents. The running game upgrades will likely come on the interior of the offensive line.

Thu Nov 3 201118:36Titans to try Morgan and Jones at right end
Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray is open to the possibility of moving either Derrick Morgan or Jason Jones to right defensive end this season.
"To me, really, when you put a guy out there, if he could play right end, he could play left end," Gray said. "Just put down the opposite hand and get off, and eventually you get good at it. So hopefully we'll see if one guy can play left and the other can play right." Morgan supplanted Jones as the team's starting left end last Sunday and appears to be in line for more work as he becomes more acclimated with the defense. With current starter Dave Ball on a one-year contract, it would be in the Titan's best interst to try and get both Morgan and Jones on the field as much as possible, as both were heavily invested in as high draft picks.

Tue Sep 6 201110:28Morgan expects to play in Week 2
Titans DE Derick Morgan (knee) is targeting Week 2 for his return.
Morgan said he felt "instant relief" after a scope on his left knee last week. Apparently, a dislodged stitch stemming from the ACL repair was causing problems. The Titans do not plan to add defensive help off the street.

Mon Aug 29 201115:16Derrick Morgan has setback with knee
Titans RE Derrick Morgan has had a setback with his surgically repaired knee, and is now considered doubtful for Week 1
Coach Mike Munchak gave no timetable for return, and revealed Monday that last year's first-round pick is visiting Dr. James Andrews. Andrews performed Morgan's ACL reconstruction late last season. Morgan was showing promise prior to the setback with four tackles and a sack in two preseason appearances.
