Jaguars claimed OT Sam Young off waivers from the Bills.
Young has starting experience, but it's minimal (four games). He's just a depth claim for an offensive line that's really hurting following the losses of Eugene Monroe (trade) and Luke Joeckel (ankle).

Fri May 3 201311:33Sam Young, Colin Brown to compete for LG job
WGR 550 Buffalo expects Sam Young and Colin Brown to compete for the Bills' starting left guard job.
Young (6-foot-8, 322) started the first four games of his career last season, all at right tackle. Brown (6-foot-7, 326) started one game at right guard in 2012 before tearing his hamstring completely off the bone and missing the rest of the season. Adding a veteran free agent to the mix is also a possibility, but the Bills have publicly stated they don't value guards that highly.

Bills OT Sam Young's base salary will be up from $575,000 to $630,000 in 2013 after he hit escalators in his rookie contract.
Young was originally a sixth-round pick out of Notre Dame by the Cowboys in 2010, but he was claimed off waivers by Buffalo prior to the 2011 season. He started the first four games of his career in Weeks 14 to 17 in 2012 while RT Erik Pears was hampered by a hip injury.

Tue Sep 6 201122:09Sam Young to focus on right tackle
Bills GM Buddy Nix says newly acquired OT Sam Young will see most of his snaps at right tackle.
LT Demetrius Bell had a worse preseason than RT Erik Pears, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. Pears hardly shined, however, and both Young and fourth-round pick Chris Hairston are good bets to see heavy action this season.

Cowboys signed sixth-round OT Sam Young to a four-year contract, including a $110,500 signing bonus.
A four-year starter at Notre Dame, Young projects as a backup-caliber right tackle in the pros. Limited in terms of both strength and athleticism, the former Golden Domer won't be guaranteed a roster spot coming out of camp.
