He suffered the knee injury in practice last week and is obviously still recovering. Consider Selvie questionable for the Giants' final preseason game next week.
Mon Aug 17 201521:31Selvie suffered knee injury during Monday's practice
Selvie suffered a knee injury during Monday's practice, but the extent of the injury is unknown, Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports.
The Giants are yet to offer any comments on the injury, but for now consider Selvie day-to-day.
Fri Mar 20 201510:47George Selvie: Signs With Giants
Selvie signed a one-year, $1.4 million contract with the Giants, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Selvie started 29 of the 32 games he played for the Cowboys over the past two seasons, piling up 60 tackles and 10 sacks over that stretch. The 28-year-old probably won't be a starter or an IDP option in 2015, but the Giants found a nice bargain to improve their defensive line depth. There is some chance Selvie could compete with Damontre Moore and/or Robert Ayers (pectoral) for the starting spot opposite Jason Pierre-Paul.

Selvie had five tackles and a sack in the Cowboys' win over the Seahawks on Sunday.
It's his first sack of the season. The Dallas defensive line has been an IDP wasteland so far this season, but at least for one game Selvie was able to regain his 2013 form.
Sun Sep 7 201415:40Selvie (shoulder) active for Sunday's game versus 49ers
Selvie (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Selvie will line up as one of the starting defensive ends in a defense devoid of the departed DeMarcus Ware. With more pass rushing opportunities available, Selvie has a great chance to surpass his seven sacks from a season ago.

Selvie (shoulder) is probable for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Selvie practiced fully Friday, so he'll serve as one of Dallas' starting ends against San Francisco. While he flashed a bit of IDP potential a year ago, he's probably no more than a DL4 consideration in most formats for the time being.
Wed Sep 3 201412:05Selvie (shoulder) will be limited during Wednesday's practice
Selvie (shoulder) will be limited during Wednesday's practice, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Selvie enjoyed a breakout season under defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli last year, starting all 16 games en route to 45 tackles and seven sacks. Entering this season as perhaps the Cowboys' best edge-rusher, Selvie unfortunately re-injured his surgically repaired left shoulder during Dallas' second preseason game. The defensive end has not played since, so his involvement throughout practice this week should help project his Week 1 status for this Sunday versus the 49ers.
Tue Sep 2 201409:40Selvie (shoulder) wasn't able to practice on Monday
Selvie (shoulder) wasn't able to practice on Monday, the Dallas Morning News reports.
He's been out since the Cowboys' third preseason game after re-injuring his surgically-repaired right shoulder. Selvie was able to do some work on the side, but at this point his status for Week 1 is up in the air.
Sun Aug 24 201411:52Selvie says shoulder "good"
Selvie, who was forced to the sidelines early in Saturday's preseason game, says his shoulder is "good", ESPN Dallas reports.
Selvie landed on his surgically repaired shoulder Saturday night and did not return following an early game exit. While the defensive end is scheduled to be re-examined Sunday, Selvie downplayed any injury concern. If tests confirm Selvie is fine, he could still sit out Dallas' preseason finale to ensure he's ready for Week 1.

Selvie left Saturday's preseason game against the Dolphins due to a right shoulder injury, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Selvie, who has dealt with a groin injury for the past few weeks, had surgery on his left shoulder during the offseason. He was previously on track to be ready for Week 1, and while the injury is at least to his other shoulder, it may still throw a hitch in those plans. Selvie immediately took himself out of Saturday's game after suffering the injury. If he isn't ready by Week 1, it could free up more playing time for Tyrone Crawford.
Wed Aug 13 201409:27Selvie (groin) returned to practice on Tuesday
Selvie (groin) returned to practice on Tuesday, the Dallas Morning News reports.
There's no word yet on whether he'll play Saturday in the Cowboys' second preseason game, but it looks like Selvie should be fine for Week 1.

Selvie (groin) did not suit up for Thursday's preseason opener against the Chargers.
The injury seems to be a minor one, but given the thin nature of the Cowboys' pass rush they weren't going to take any chances with a Week 1 starter.
Thu Jun 19 201413:59George Selvie expected to be ready for camp
Cowboys LE George Selvie (shoulder surgery) remains on track for training camp.
Coach Jason Garrett expects Selvie to be a "full participant" when the team reports on July 24. Selvie, 27, is heading into the final year of his contract after breaking out for seven sacks last season. He's not a star, but the Cowboys desperately need him at full health with their defensive line being the thinnest in the league.

Cowboys DE George Selvie underwent surgery on his left shoulder after the season.
Selvie, signed off the street in late-July, was a huge surprise for the Cowboys. He recorded 39 tackles and seven sacks and was DL coach Rod Marinell's latest creation. Selvie should be ready for OTAs. He'll return as a key rotational end in 2014.

Cowboys will sign DE George Selvie.
Jason Pierre-Paul's former teammate at South Florida, Selvie is already on his fourth NFL team since being drafted in 2010. He'll give the Cowboys a little depth after they lost Anthony Spencer (knee) for up to a month and Tyrone Crawford (Achilles) for the season. Selvie had just one sack while playing 238 snaps for the Jags last year.

Tue Apr 2 201314:52Bucs sign DE George Selvie
Bucs signed DE George Selvie, formerly of the Jaguars.
Most recently of the Jaguars, 26-year-old Selvie has bounced around the league and amassed three career sacks across 36 games. The Bucs need pass-rush help at defensive end, but there's little reason to believe Selvie provides it.
