The operation was performed by Dr. James Andrews. It's believed there "wasn't damage that would trigger an elongated rehabilitation period," so Edds figures to be healthy for 2011 OTAs. His role, however, will be uncertain.

Edds is known for his coverage skills and will have ample opportunity to learn the "Ted" linebacker spot from Karlos Dansby.
