Thu Feb 26 201517:07Kendall Langford: Released By Rams
Langford was released by the Rams on Thursday, ESPN's Nick Wagoner reports.
In Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, the Rams have a pair of former first-round draft picks at defensive tackle. The team is reportedly willing to bring Langford back for a figure much lower than the $6 million he was scheduled to make in 2015, but it's believed the veteran defensive tackle will look for a starting job. If he ultimately returns to St. Louis, Langford will likely be the team's top defensive tackle off the bench.

Langford is one of the anchors of the fearsome Rams front, and St. Louis will be glad to have him healthy again. While Langford may get pushed for playing time a little bit by first-round pick Aaron Donald, the Rams have always cycled their lineman to keep them fresh. Langford is coming off a 2013 with 49 tackles and five sacks.

Citing whispers in the "agent community," the Atlanta Journal-Constitution expects the Falcons to "make a play" for free agent DL Kendall Langford.
Langford would be following DC Mike Nolan to Atlanta under that scenario. It's an interesting report considering Langford was an effective 3-4 end, and the Falcons will run a 4-3 scheme even with Nolan on board. Langford would presumably move inside to the three-technique if signed.

The Palm Beach Post does not expect re-signing free agent DE Kendall Langford to be a priority for the Dolphins.
