Griffin underwent a procedure Tuesday to address chronic tendinitis in his left knee, the Tennessean reports.
Per the report, Griffin, who also underwent surgery in January to repair a torn labrum, might not be fully cleared until training camp, but in the absence of any setbacks, the safety should be good to go to start the 2015 season. Griffin is coming off a 2014 campaign in which he recorded a career-high 112 tackles to go along with three sacks and two picks in 16 games.

Griffin underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, the Tennessean reports.
The procedure is expected to sideline Griffin for four-to-six months, with the report relaying that the safety may also have a minor procedure on his knee later this offseason, once he is able to use crutches. With that in mind, Griffin -- who is slated to make $6.3 million in 2015 -- hopes to be ready for the Titans' OTAs. Griffin finished up the 2014 season with a fantasy-friendly 112 tackles, three sacks and two picks in 16 games.

Griffin was all over the field Sunday, yet still couldn't prevent the Browns from staging an improbable fourth-quarter comeback. Griffin, who has 37 tackles and two interceptions through five games this season, will be counted on even more now that Bernard Pollard (Achilles) has been ruled out for the rest of the year.
Thu Feb 20 201418:57Michael Griffin expected to keep roster spot
The Nashville Tennessean doesn't expect FS Michael Griffin to be a salary-cap casualty.
Cutting Griffin would create $6.2 million in real savings, and $8 million in cap space, but reporter Jim Wyatt believes his roster spot is "OK." Griffin missed the first two games of his career last season, but continued to play at an above-average level. Still only 29, Griffin should be back. He's signed through 2016.

Wed Feb 19 201417:52Michael Griffin has foot, knee operations
Titans FS Michael Griffin underwent offseason foot and knee operations.
The foot procedure was related to plantar fasciitis, while the knee surgery was just a simple injection. Griffin has just started to begin running again. In a football-related note, Griffin says the new coaching staff informed him he'll be playing closer to the line of scrimmage in 2014. That may mean free agent SS Bernard Pollard won't be back. Griffin carries an $8 million cap number.

Fri Jan 17 201418:04Michael Griffin unsure on future with Titans
Titans FS Michael Griffin is unsure if he'll be back in 2014.
Griffin is coming off a solid season, finishing with 106 tackles and an interception in Tennessee's No. 11 ranked pass defense. He's currently set to count $8 million against the cap in 2014, so the Titans could look to part ways under a new coaching staff. George Wilson would serve as a capable in-house replacement if Griffin were to be released. Free agent SS Bernard Pollard is also questionable to be brought back this offseason.

Tue Nov 26 201319:21Michael Griffin's one-game ban upheld
Titans FS Michael Griffin's one game suspension for violating the league's policy on player safety has been upheld.
"I am still confused on what other options I had as a defender but at the end of the day we must move on and focus on Indy," Griffin said in a Tuesday statement. "The team is more important than this matter. Let's not make it a distraction." It doesn't sound like Griffin has learned his lesson, but we digress. He'll be back for Week 14.

Mon Nov 25 201317:18Michael Griffin appealing 1-game suspension
Titans FS Michael Griffin will appeal his one-game suspension for player safety violations.
Griffin knocked out Raiders rookie TE Mychal Rivera during Sunday's win over Oakland. The NFL will hear Griffin's appeal and decide its validity by Tuesday, in all likelihood. It's believed Griffin has four safety violations since 2009. Roger Goodell should not find it easy to let him off the hook.
