Washington has placed Paulsen (toe) on IR.
With Niles Paul also on IR, opportunity knocks for Jordan Reed, who (when healthy) is easily the team's most accomplished and talented option at the TE position.
Sat Aug 15 201515:59Logan Paulsen: (Toe) Surgery On Tap, Out For Year
Paulsen will have season-ending surgery on his big toe Monday, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
Paulsen has come down with turf toe, joining Niles Paul as Washington tight ends to be ruled out for the season. With the duo out of the picture, Jordan Reed (hamstring) is the clear top TE, when he rids himself of his own injury concern.

Paulsen is currently deciding whether or not to have surgery on his big toe.
Paulsen is already slotted behind Niles Paul and Jordan Reed, which didn't bode well for a lucrative 2015-16 season to begin with. Nevertheless, a potential toe surgery could certainly cause him to miss a significant portion of the season while he spends time rehabbing, leaving Je'ron Hamm and Chase Dixon to pick up the slack.
Sun Nov 16 201411:25Paulsen (foot) active for Sunday's matchup against Buccaneers
Paulsen (foot) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers.
Paulsen was forced to leave Week 9's contest against the Vikings due to a bout with plantar fasciitis, but with the added rest following a Week 10 bye, the tight end will suit up for the Sunday afternoon tilt. Paulsen will work behind both Jordan Reed and Niles Paul, however, so there's not much fantasy value to find here in most formats, unless the 27-year-old is able to stumble upon an expanded role.

Paulsen left the game Sunday with a plantar fasciitis injury but was able to return, the Washington Post reports.
Paulsen is primarily a blocking tight end at this point behind Jordan Reed and Niles Paul on the depth chart.

Paulsen's teammate Niles Paul suffered a concussion during Thursday's 45-14 loss to the Giants, ESPN reports.
Paul had been filling in more than capably for Jordan Reed (hamstring), who may not be ready for Week 5. As the only other tight end on Washington's roster, Paulsen could have a surprisingly large role in the offense against the Seahawks next week, if neither Reed nor Paul is able to play. However, Paulsen isn't an especially talented receiver, and shouldn't be expected to match the production of a healthy Reed or Paul. Paulsen caught 3-of-3 targets for 28 yards in Thursday's blowout loss.

Paulsen caught two passes on two targets for seven yards in Week 3.
Niles Paul has seen the majority of tight end touches since Jourdan Reed (hamstring) went down in Week 1. Paulsen will still see time on the field primarily has a blocker and in the red zone.

Paulsen should see increased playing time with Jordan Reed (hamstring) sitting out in Week 2. Paulsen will compete with Niles Paul for snaps.
Paulsen is a better blocking tight end and bigger target but isn't as athletic as Paul. Expect Paulsen to be on the field during rushing downs and close to the end zone.

Logan Paulsen caught four passes for 32 yards in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Giants.

Mon Dec 2 201301:19Logan Paulsen picks up 41 yards, scores TD
Logan Paulsen had three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 13 loss to the Giants.
Paulsen started again this week with Jordan Reed (concussion) sidelined, but played behind Fred Davis with the Redskins' running their no-huddle offense to open the game. His touchdown came on a 19-yard strike from Robert Griffin in the second quarter and he finished with four targets. Even if Reed doesn't return in Week 14, Paulsen won't be on the TE2 radar.

Mon Sep 30 201310:59Logan Paulsen sustains a knee injury
Redskins TE Logan Paulsen sustained a knee injury in Sunday's win at Oakland.
Paulsen, who started because of injuries to Jordan Reed (thigh) and Fred Davis (ankle), left the stadium wearing a brace. The next man up is Niles Paul. The good news for the Skins is that they have a bye in Week 5, giving their tight end room a chance to heal up.

Sun Sep 29 201319:52Logan Paulsen held to 46 yards, fumble in win
Redskins TE Logan Paulsen caught two passes for 46 yards in Washington's Week 4 win over Oakland.
He also lost a fumble. Paulsen played a larger role than usual because Jordan Reed (groin) was inactive and Fred Davis (ankle) was hobbled, seeing only one target. Paulsen will likely resume blocking-specialist duties when Washington emerges from its Week 5 open date.

Sat Mar 9 201311:29Redskins re-sign TE Logan Paulsen
Redskins re-signed TE Logan Paulsen to a three-year contract.
Paulsen, 26, caught 25 passes for 308 yards and one touchdown in 16 games last season, starting ten after Fred Davis' Achilles' tear. Not much of a receiving threat, Paulsen is purely a possession target but excels in the run game, grading out as a top-ten run-blocking tight end according to Pro Football Focus. The re-signing of Paulsen should not impact negotiations with free agent Davis.

Sat Jan 19 201315:39Impending RFA Paulsen expected to be priority
CSN Washington believes re-signing impending restricted free agent TE Logan Paulsen will be a priority for the Redskins this offseason.
Paulsen started ten games and caught 25 passes for 308 yards and a touchdown in 2012 after starter Fred Davis tore his Achilles' tendon in Week 7. Davis, along with fan favorite Chris Cooley, are both set to hit the open market this offseason. Paulsen's lack of speed and athleticism will keep him off fantasy radars.

Sun Jan 6 201320:33Paulsen finds end zone in playoff loss
Logan Paulsen caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Wild Card round loss to the Seahawks.
Paulsen hauled in a 4-yard touchdown just after Robert Griffin III's initial knee aggravation on a failed pass to Pierre Garcon. A restricted free agent, Paulsen will be back with the Redskins in 2013 -- but likely not as the starter. Fred Davis (Achilles surgery) is an unrestricted free agent.
