Williams signed a one-year contract with the Saints on Friday.
Williams joins the Saints ahead of his 13th NFL season, spent primarily in Minnesota before a year-long stint last season in Seattle, where he posted 30 tackles and three sacks. In heading to New Orleans, Williams figures to beef up the Saints' front-seven, but it remains to be seen how he'll adjust to playing in a 3-4 scheme like defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's.
Thu Jun 12 201417:52'Hawks sign DT Kevin Williams to 1-year deal
Seahawks agreed to terms with DT Kevin Williams, formerly of the Vikings, on a one-year contract.
According to ESPN's Ed Werder, the deal is worth "in excess" of $2 million. Williams pondered retirement, but found the amount of money he was willing to play for after three months on the open market. Going on 34, Williams remained a productive player in 2014, particularly against the run. He further fortifies what was already one of the league's stoutest defensive lines.

Wed Mar 19 201416:22Free agent DT Kevin Williams drawing interest
Free agent DT Kevin Williams says he's had "several teams" call but has yet to receive any offers.
Williams, 34 in August, would like to finish his career in Minnesota, but the sides haven't talked since last week. With Linval Joseph, Sharrif Floyd, and Fred Evans at defensive tackle for the Vikings, there might not be much room for Williams. The former first-round pick is our top remaining free-agent defensive tackle.

Fri Mar 14 201418:20Vikings could bring back Kevin Williams
The Vikings haven't ruled out re-signing free agent DT Kevin Williams.
Williams has spent his entire 11-year career in Minnesota and could be brought back to start alongside Linval Joseph. It suggests that the Vikings don't see Sharif Floyd as more than a rotational player at this point. Minnesota also visited with Henry Melton this week, but he left without a deal. Williams, 33, is Rotoworld's No. 2 remaining free-agent defensive tackle.

Tue Feb 18 201409:07Vikings not expected to re-sign DT Williams
ESPN Vikings reporter Ben Goessling predicts free agent DT Kevin Williams will play elsewhere in 2014.
Williams, 33, has spent his entire 11-year career in Minnesota since being the ninth overall pick in the 2003 draft. However, he'll likely look to sign with a contender, while the Vikings will aim to get younger. We don't see Williams landing more than a one-year deal. He's our No. 9 free-agent defensive tackle.

Mon Sep 2 201313:06Vikings DT Kevin Williams may miss Week 1
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is skeptical DT Kevin Williams (knee) will play in Week 1 against the Lions.
Williams suffered a hyperextended knee, bone bruise, and posterior capsular strain in his knee during Minnesota's third preseason game. He's not practicing. If Williams can't go, first-round rookie Sharrif Floyd will get the start at three-technique tackle next to the Fred Evans-Letroy Guion nose tackle combo.

Mon Aug 26 201317:15Kevin Williams' knee injury revealed
Vikings DT Kevin Williams has been diagnosed with a hyperextended knee, bone bruise, and posterior capsular strain.
The good news is, Williams avoided ligament damage and doesn't have a severe injury. The bad news is, he sounds week to week and there isn't much time left before the opener. If Williams can't play in Week 1 against the Lions, first-round pick Sharrif Floyd would get the start at three-technique tackle.

Mon Aug 26 201308:50Kevin Williams undergoing MRI on knee
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier is "concerned" about the knee injury DT Kevin Williams suffered in Sunday's third preseason game, and Williams will undergo an MRI on Monday.
Williams got chop blocked by 49ers OG Joe Looney, and was none-too-pleased. "I was just upset that I'm getting cut 11 years in (the NFL) from a guy who I don't even know." It doesn't sound like Williams is dealing with a potentially season-ending injury, but we won't know for sure until Monday afternoon.

Mon Jul 29 201314:23Frazier: Williams will play 30-40 snaps/game
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says DT Kevin Williams will play 30-40 snaps per game this year.
The Vikings can get away with scaling back Williams' usage after drafting first-rounder Sharrif Floyd, who plays the same three-technique position. "I'm sure he's more than capable of playing 50-60 snaps," Frazier said. "But I think it'll be better for our football team if we can get those snaps between 30 and 40." Williams ranked sixth in the NFL in snaps among 4-3 tackles last year.
