Wed May 31 202309:31Luke Raley Enjoying A Career Year
Tampa Bay Rays first baseman/outfielder Luke Raley went 0-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 2-1 loss against the Chicago Cubs. But that isn't a reflection of the year he's had at the plate, as the 28-year-old is breaking out with a .244/.343/.545 slash line with 10 long balls, 23 runs, 21 RBI, and seven steals over 44 games. Raley's transformed into a must-add if he's still available on the waiver wire and should continue contributing power and speed as a member of the Rays starting lineup.

Fri Mar 18 202222:36Rays Acquire Luke Raley From Dodgers
The Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder Luke Raley from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday in exchange for Double-A relief pitcher Tanner Dodson, according to sources. Raley made his major league debut with the Dodgers last year and hit .182/.250/.288 with two home runs and four RBI in 72 plate appearances over 33 games. The 27-year-old will compete for a depth role in Tampa, although he could move into more significant playing time if the Rays trade Austin Meadows. Dodson, who has also played the outfield, had a 3.20 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 64 K's and 23 walks in 56 1/3 innings over 37 outings (one start) at High-A Bowling Green and Double-A Montgomery in 2021.
