Fri Apr 15 202215:55Jean Segura Remains Out On Friday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura (arm) is out of the lineup once again on Friday as the team takes on Pablo Lopez and the Miami Marlins. Bryson Stott is making his second consecutive start at the keystone in the game. Segura was hit in his left arm by a pitch in Wednesday's game. He was promptly removed from the game and he sat out on Thursday as well. The 32-year-old veteran was swinging the bat well prior to the injury. Through five games this year, he's slashing .353/.421/.765 with two home runs. He should be considered day-to-day by fantasy managers with a chance to return on Saturday.

Thu Apr 14 202214:57Jean Segura Not In The Lineup Against Marlins
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura (arm) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday after taking a pitch off his left arm on Wednesday against the New York Mets. Segura avoided a major injury, but the Phillies will give him a day off anyway. In his absence, Bryson Stott gets the start at the keystone and will bat eighth against Miami Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Fantasy managers should expect Segura to return by Friday, at the earliest. Stott has four hits in his first 14 major league plate appearances, adding three RBI, one double and one run scored in the first four games of the season. The 24-year-old should see semi-regular at-bats this year, mostly at third base, and will be a DFS sleeper with minimal upside on Thursday.

Sun Aug 8 202116:18Jean Segura Homers In Win Over Mets On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a win over the Mets on Sunday. Segura got the Phillies on the board early, launching a first-inning homer off of Mets starter Taijuan Walker. The veteran middle infielder can flash occasional power as the homer was his eighth of the season, however; it's his on-base skills that have made Segura an asset in fantasy. Segura is batting .308 this season as he's got at least one hit in 19 of his last 20 games. He's settled into the two-hole in the batting order and should continue to get on base and score runs ahead of Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto. Segura is a strong 2B option in fantasy, despite tough matchups with the Dodgers this week.

Sun Aug 1 202117:44Jean Segura Drives In Three Versus Bucs On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a run scored, and a walk versus the Pirates on Sunday. Both of Segura's hits were doubles as the veteran infielder is now batting a healthy .308 while slugging .447, his highest mark since 2016. Segura has been great leading off for Philly thanks to a minuscule 14% strikeout rate while sporting a .346 wOBA, also his best mark since 2016. He should be universally started in fantasy this week when the Phillies roll into Washington to face a punchless Nationals pitching staff.

Fri Jul 30 202122:06Jean Segura Day-To-Day
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Jean Segura (knee) is considered day-to-day, according to skipper Joe Girardi. The 31-year-old is currently dealing with minor knee soreness, although it was enough to keep him out of the lineup during the series opener against the Pirates. His status moving ahead isn't know, although it wouldn't be a surprise if he missed a few more games. Segura has played exceptionally well this season, currently batting .306, with 90 hits, 41 runs, 33 RBI, and seven stolen bases. Didi Gregorius took over at short on Friday, while Ronald Torreyes moved over to cover the keystone.
