Pacheco was designated for assignment by Colorado earlier this month after batting just .236/.300/.347 in 22 games as the Rockies' backup catcher. The 28-year-old can also play some corner infield, but he probably won't get a ton of playing time with Arizona.

Wed Apr 2 201423:02Pacheco clocks in for three hits
Jordan Pacheco had a big day against the Marlins on Wednesday, finishing 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Pacheco, part of an oddly-constructed Rockies roster, singled three times in his 2014 debut. Pacheco will back up at catcher behind Wilin Rosario. He shouldn't be counted on for much of anything offensively, limiting him to NL-only leagues.

Tue Mar 25 201418:21Pecheco homers against the White Sox
Jordan Pacheco went 1-for-3 with a solo home run against the White Sox on Tuesday.
Pacheco took Nate Jones deep for a solo homer in the fifth inning, his second of the spring. Pacheco dealt with left shoulder pain earlier in the spring, but has been swinging the bat well when he's had the chance. He'll back up Wilin Rosario behind the plate during the regular season and can play a host of other positions including first and third base.

Jordan Pacheco went 2-for-2 with a double in Friday's loss to the Indians.

Jordan Pacheco (shoulder) started Tuesday's game against the Cubs in the designated hitter spot.
It's the first game he's started since the Rockies' Cactus League opener. Pacheco isn't cleared to play behind the plate yet, but that should happen soon. "The swing feels good, and it's nice to get out there and actually participate in a game," said Pacheco. "The shoulder feels good, no pain."

An MRI taken this week on the left shoulder of Jordan Pacheco showed no structural damage.
Pacheco had to be scratched from a Cactus League game on Monday after experiencing discomfort in his shoulder during batting practice. But everything checked out fine on Tuesday and he should be back in action by the end of the week. Pacheco is trying to win a spot on the Rockies' Opening Day roster as a backup catcher and corner infielder.

Mon Mar 3 201418:29Jordan Pacheco (shoulder) out a couple days
Rockies head athletic trainer Keith Dugger expects Jordan Pacheco (shoulder) to be sidelined for two days.
Dugger said that Pacheco's left shoulder ailment is simply an "overuse" injury. Pacheco underwent a precautionary MRI, but it doesn't sound like the Rockies expect the exam to reveal anything. He'll be back later this week.

Rockies optioned INF Jordan Pacheco to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Sat Jul 6 201300:59Jordan Pacheco goes hitless in loss
Jordan Pacheco went hitless in three at-bats Friday in the loss to the Diamondbacks.
If Ryan Wheeler were playing better in Triple-A, Pacheco would probably be back in the minors by now. With little home run power and no patience at the plate, he needs to bat .300 to be useful to the Rockies. Right now, he's at .250/.284/.327 in 168 at-bats.

Sat May 18 201300:38Pacheco swats grand slam in win over Giants
Jordan Pacheco went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI in Friday's 10-9 win over the Giants.
Pacheco had an RBI ground out in the bottom of the second inning while his fifth-inning grand slam broke a 5-5 tie. With a .313/.360/.410 batting line over 26 games this season, the 27-year-old continues to be a useful player for Colorado. Todd Helton isn't a good bet to hold up and will require regular rest no matter what, so Pacheco should continue to have value in NL-only leagues.

Jordan Pacheco went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Sat Mar 16 201320:34Pacheco making third base decision tough
Jordan Pacheco went 2-for-3 in the Rockies loss to the Mariners Saturday.
Pacheco, 27, seems to be the forgotten man in the Rockies third base mix this spring, with Chris Nelson and prospect Nolan Arenado receiving much of the attention. But Pacheco started 80 games at the hot corner in 2012 and is hitting .407 in Cactus League play. It remains to be seen how the competition will play out, but if Pacheco continues to hit he will force the Rockies to make a tough decision in a few weeks.

Fri Feb 1 201317:25Jordan Pacheco working on his catching
Jordan Pacheco recently traveled to San Luis Obispo, California to work with Rockies catching instructor Jerry Weinstein.
Pacheco worked on blocking drills and focused on throwing mechanics. While he only started five games behind the plate last season, the versatility should give him a leg up on keeping a roster spot. "I definitely feel comfortable doing it," said Pacheco. "But I want to make sure the pitchers feel comfortable with me. In spring training, I need to work with them to create that."

Wed Oct 3 201200:41Pacheco plates two in loss to Diamondbacks
Jordan Pacheco had two hits and drove in a pair of runs in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.
Pacheco finished the game 2-for-4 with his 32nd double and two RBI. He's done a very nice job in his first season as a regular for the Rockies, hitting .306/.338/.418 with five homers, 54 RBI and seven stolen bases in 471 at-bats. There should be a role for him on the 2013 squad.
