Sun Jul 1 201218:44Report: Lee won't agree to Dodgers trade
ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Carlos Lee "won't agree to [a] deal" that sends him to the Dodgers.
Lee hasn't changed his mind after mulling the opportunity over the weekend, apparently. He was in the Astros' lineup Sunday, a good early indicator that he wasn't prepared to leave Texas. An official announcement is expected Sunday night.

Sun Jul 1 201211:27Carlos Lee hasn't made decision on trade yet
Carlos Lee is in the Astros' lineup Sunday and says he has yet to make a decision on whether to accept a trade to the Dodgers.
The fact that he's in the lineup would seem to indicate he's likely staying with the 'Stros, but he'll likely officially make a decision later Sunday. The Dodgers have a deal in place to acquire the veteran first baseman/outfielder, but Lee might prefer to stay close to his ranch in Texas rather than join a contender.

Sat Jun 30 201220:27Lee to make decision Sunday on Dodgers trade
Carlos Lee said after Saturday's game that he'd like to have a decision by Sunday on whether or not to waive his no-trade clause and accept a deal to the Dodgers.
The trade has already been agreed upon, pending Lee's acceptance. The Dodgers would reportedly take on all of Lee's remaining salary for 2012 and send back minor league right-hander Garrett Gould. Though Lee has told the Astros previously that he would not waive his no-trade clause, the fact that he's taking another day to mull it over gives some hope to the deal getting completed.

Sat Jun 30 201214:11Olney: Lee says he won't waive trade-clause
ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Carlos Lee "continues to tell the Astros he won't waive his no-trade clause."
Lee told reporters Saturday that the Dodgers made him an offer, but there's apparently no indication he's willing to accept it. The Astros haven't given him a deadline to make a decision, though there should be some sort of resolution by early next week. Lee has deep roots in Houston and isn't believed to have a strong interest in joining a contender.

Sat Jun 23 201218:40Lee goes 2-for-4 with two doubles in win
Carlos Lee went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's win against the Indians.
Lee has three multi-hit games out of six since returning from the disabled list. It was nice to see some of his power return, as he'd only smacked one double, his only extra-base hit, since coming off the shelf. El Caballo is playable in all formats going forward.

Wed Jun 13 201220:36Carlos Lee to begin rehab assignment Thursday
Carlos Lee (hamstring) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Corpus Christi Thursday.
Evidently he got through his running the last two days without any issues. Lee shouldn't need more than a handful of at-bats before returning, and he's eligible to return on Sunday. Lee will return to a .297/.348/.411 batting line with four homers and 23 RBI.

Sun Jun 10 201212:58Carlos Lee swings off tee
Carlos Lee (hamstring) ran in the pool and took swings off a tee Saturday and is scheduled to take grounders Sunday.
Lee is eligible to be activated in a week, and it sounds like he has a good shot of being back then. We should have a better idea as to his status when he starts running on the field, though. Brett Wallace has filled in well since Lee went down, batting .381/.480/.619 with a homer over 21 at-bats.

Sun May 13 201218:03Carlos Lee doubles, scores two runs in loss
Carlos Lee went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 12-inning loss to the Pirates.
The two-hit day was El Caballo's first in six contests, but he's still batting an acceptable .269/.336/.378 through Houston's first 34 games. Lee got off to a slow power start last season before eventually launching 18 home runs.

Lee is out of the starting lineup for the third straight game as he nurses a sprained left ankle, but he took ground balls at first base Monday without any issues. Even if he doesn't get an at-bat Monday, look for him to return to the lineup for Tuesday's game.

Carlos Lee said Sunday that his sprained left ankle is improving.
"It's not my call, but I hope to give it a shot," said Lee. "It's feeling better. Still a little sore. I won't know for sure until I get in for treatment [Monday] and move around a little bit." Sat Apr 28 201212:59Carlos Lee scratched from lineup Saturday
Carlos Lee (ankle) is not in Saturday's lineup.
X-rays came back negative, so he shouldn't miss a significant amount of time. The Astros will go with Travis Buck in right field against the right-handed Johnny Cueto. Matt Down is starting at first base and hitting sixth.

Fri Apr 6 201222:27Carlos Lee homers in Astros' opener
Carlos Lee had a very strong season debut Friday night against the Rockies, going 2-for-3 with an RBI single and a solo home run.
Lee drove in the Astros' first run with an RBI single in the first inning, and then added a two-run homer off Wandy Rodriguez in the fourth. The 35-year-old is coming off of a somewhat disappointing 2011 campaign, but has always been a solid run producer. Hitting in the middle of the Astros' lineup, he should be able to approach 100 RBI again this season.

Mon Apr 2 201218:57Carlos Lee can block deals to 14 teams
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Carlos Lee can block trades to 14 teams this season.
Lee would normally have a full no-trade clause at this point, but he bargained away his 10-and-5 rights as part of his six-year, $100 million contract with the Astros in 2006. The deal included a full no-trade clause for the first four years and partial no-trade protection in the final two. Keep in mind that he's making $18.5 million in the final year of his deal, so moving him will still be a challenge.

Mon Mar 5 201208:42Carlos Lee (hammy) not in Monday's lineup
Carlos Lee (hamstring) is not playing in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Braves.
Lee suffered a right hamstring strain over the weekend. The Astros don't seem all that concerned about it, and are likely just playing it safe here in early March. Lee is expected to play a couple innings in Tuesday's game.

Fri Mar 2 201213:14Carlos Lee tweaks hamstring
Carlos Lee has been scratched from Saturday's Grapefruit League opener due to a mild right hamstring strain.
It doesn't sound like a big deal, but there's no reason to push anyone this early in camp, especially a veteran like Lee. He should be good to go in a few days. Brett Wallace will start at first base in Lee's place.
