Sun Jun 9 201312:23Ted Lilly (neck) placed on disabled list
Dodgers placed LHP Ted Lilly on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 5, with a neck sprain.
Lilly has a chronic neck disc issue and it was likely jolted when he collided with the Padres' Kyle Blanks and fell to the ground during his last start. It's not clear how much time he'll miss. Matthew Magill is taking his spot in the rotation.

Wed Jun 5 201301:30Ted Lilly gives up five runs to Padres
Ted Lilly allowed five runs -- four earned -- in four-plus innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Padres.
There wasn't really anything to like about Lilly's outing tonight. He gave up two homers, and he couldn't even prevent opposing starter Clayton Richard from delivering an RBI single in the fourth. In the fifth, he uncorked an awful throw after fielding a bunt and was pulled. He failed to last six innings for the fifth time in five starts. It's possible that his arm just isn't up to working every five days right now. If the Dodgers can start figuring out ways to give him extra rest, they should.

Fri May 31 201301:04Ted Lilly gives up three runs in loss
Ted Lilly was charged with three runs in 5 2/3 innings Thursday in a loss to the Angels.
Lilly never even looked at manager Don Mattingly as he was taken out of a 2-2 game with two on and two outs in the sixth. Ronald Belisario came in and gave up the go-ahead run. Lilly was at just 90 pitches at the time, so there was an argument for leaving him in. He looks like a pretty good play in mixed leagues next week with home starts against the Padres and Braves on the schedule.

Sat May 25 201322:49Lilly gets no-decision, Dodgers top Cardinals
Ted Lilly allowed two runs -- one earned -- in 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision, and the Dodgers beat the Cardinals on Saturday.
The start was Lilly's first since April 29. He left with the lead but watched the Cardinals score twice in the sixth inning to tie the game, erasing the opportunity for him to pick up his first win of the season. The left-hander gave up just two hits and a walk over the course of the outing, with the Cardinals' first run coming with help from a Nick Punto error. His next start will come Thursday against the Angels.

Lilly was activated from the disabled list Monday and will be available out of the bullpen Tuesday night, but Dodgers manager Don Mattingly will try to keep away from using him if possible. The veteran left-hander owns a 5.63 ERA over two starts this season. He'll have a tough matchup Saturday, but should be owned in NL-only leagues.

Dodgers activated LHP Ted Lilly from the 15-day disabled list.
Lilly has been sidelined since April 29 with a strained right rib cage. The Dodgers have the option to skip the fifth spot in the rotation on Thursday, so it's not clear if the veteran southpaw will pitch as a starter or reliever initially.

Ted Lilly received an injection in his rib cage on Tuesday and will be shut down for two days.
Lilly felt discomfort in his rib cage area during Monday's start. He also dealt with neck and back tightness, though the issues are not related. Tue Apr 30 201319:44Ted Lilly getting MRI
Ted Lilly will undergo an MRI on his back/neck on Tuesday.
The area got progressively tighter on Lilly during Monday's start, when he allowed five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and two walks over just three innings. The Dodgers are suddenly very thin in their rotation, so they're certainly hoping Lilly won't have to miss a start.

Tue Apr 30 201301:49Lilly knocked around by Rockies
Ted Lilly was pasted for five runs - four earned -- on eight hits and two walks over just three innings in Monday's loss to the Rockies.
Lilly served up a leadoff homer to Dexter Fowler to start the game and then was taken deep by Wilin Rosario later in the inning. The Dodgers' trainer came out to check on him in the third with the bases loaded, but he was left in and walked the next batter to force in a run. Lilly pitched well in his first start off the DL, but tonight's effort was certainly a step back. He'll try to rebound later this week in San Francisco.
