Tue May 2116:06Xzavion Curry Making Spot Start Against Mets
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Xzavion Curry was recalled from Triple-A Columbus to make a spot start on Tuesday against the visiting New York Mets after the team placed right-hander Carlos Carrasco (neck) on the 15-day injured list. Curry may not be a very attractive streamer in fantasy on Tuesday, but he did toss five scoreless innings with one walk and three strikeouts in a no-decision in his only start of the year for the Guardians on April 15 against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The 25-year-old has gone 0-5 with an 8.79 ERA and 1.81 WHIP with 14 walks and 27 strikeouts in 28 2/3 innings over seven outings (six starts) for Columbus, though, which explains why he'll be an extremely volatile deep-league streamer on Tuesday despite the good matchup. If Curry pitches well on Tuesday, he could stick around in Cleveland's rotation until Carrasco returns.

Fri Aug 11 202308:56Xzavion Curry Set For Fifth Start Of The Season Friday
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Xzavion Curry is getting the ball on Friday, taking on Aaron Civale and the Tampa Bay Rays. The 25-year-old has pitched mostly out of the pen this season but has made four starts, all coming since July 17. Across 64 innings of work, Curry's posted a 2.95 ERA and 1.16 WHIP but has recorded just 45 strikeouts. He's only gone more than three innings in one of his starts this year, and he doesn't offer enough anyways to be a factor in most fantasy formats.

Wed Mar 29 202300:39Xzavion Curry Makes Opening Day Roster In Bullpen
Cleveland Guardians pitcher Xzavion Curry will be on the big-league roster in a bullpen role to start the season. Hunter Gaddis will be taking over Triston McKenzie's (shoulder) rotation spot, which will allow Curry to slot into Gaddis' bullpen spot. The 24-year-old finished the spring with a 6.00 ERA in seven outings (one start). Curry has not had particularly gaudy numbers in his time in the Minor Leagues and will have little fantasy value, as he should not hold a high-leverage role.
