Sat Jun 25 202218:56Eddie Rosario To Begin Rehab Assignment Saturday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) will start a rehab assignment Saturday with Triple-A Gwinnett. The 30-year-old had been dealing with blurred vision and swelling in his eye that required laser surgery to correct, and has been out since late April. He was off the a terrible start, slashing .068/.163/..091 over 44 AB, but it's probably not easy to hit when you can't see, so we can give him a pass. Fantasy managers should look to stash Rosario where they can, as he could return within the next week.

Wed Jun 22 202221:21Eddie Rosario Close To Beginning Rehab Assignment
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) will have his vision re-evaluated Thursday and is optimistic that he's close to beginning a rehab assignment. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since late April after he underwent a procedure in April to repair his blurred vision. He hopes to be cleared on Thursday and is trending in the right direction to begin a rehab assignment. Before landing on the injured list, Rosario struggled mightily to start the 2022 season, slashing .068/.163/.091 with four runs scored over 15 games. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Rosario in all league formats as the veteran appears to be on track to return in early July.

He was struggling at the plate earlier in the season, but hopefully the procedure will help him at the plate.

Sun Jun 5 202214:20Eddie Rosario Transferred To 60-Day Injured List
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list. This is just a procedural move to open a spot on the Braves 40-man roster. The team claimed INF Kramer Robertson off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett. Rosario is still recovering from an eye procedure and won't be back with Atlanta until later on this summer.

Sat Jun 4 202221:47Eddie Rosario Takes BP On Saturday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) has been hitting in the cage and throwing. He was placed on the 10-day injured list in late April after undergoing a laser procedure to correct blurred vision and swelling in his right retina. The 30-year-old regained full sight in his right eye two weeks ago. There is no timetable for his return, but the latest news is a step in the right direction toward a rehab assignment once cleared. Rosario was off to an abysmal start in 2022 before the injury, slashing .068/.163/.091 across 49 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should continue to stash the Braves outfielder in most league formats.

Tue Apr 26 202212:03Eddie Rosario Placed On Injured List Tuesday
The Atlanta Braves placed outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) on the 10-day injured list with blurred vision and swelling in his right retina on Tuesday and recalled right-hander William Woods from the minors in a corresponding move. Rosario's injured list placement is retroactive to April 25. The 30-year-old will undergo a laser procedure on his eye that will keep him out for eight to 12 weeks, so fantasy managers can probably drop him in standard 12-team leagues. Rosario, a postseason beast last year for Atlanta, had just three hits, no home runs and no RBI with 10 strikeouts in his first 49 plate appearances this year. Guillermo Heredia, Orlando Arcia and Alex Dickerson could all see more playing time in the outfield with Rosario sidelined.

Tue Apr 26 202208:26Eddie Rosario Could Be Out 8-12 Weeks
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) is set to undergo a laser procedure on his right eye to address some swelling and some blurred vision. According to Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Rosario could be out for 8-12 weeks following the procedure. Toscano also reported that the Braves should have a more clear timeline after the procedure is over, calling his 8-12 week timeline a "loose estimate." The 30-year-old was off to a rough start to the year, slashing just .068/.163/.091 over 15 games. He can be dropped in most standard size fantasy leagues at this point.

Mon Apr 25 202222:48Eddie Rosario To Have Eye Surgery
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario (eye) saw a retinal specialist on Monday and will undergo a laser procedure in the coming days to correct blurred vision and swelling in his right eye. The blurred vision and swelling in his eye certainly explains his rough start to the season -- 3-for-44 (.068 batting average) with no homers or RBI and 10 strikeouts in his first 15 games of the year. The 30-year-old is likely to be put on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, which will open up more playing time for Marcell Ozuna and Alex Dickerson in the outfield. Hopefully for Rosario's fantasy managers, his eye procedure will clear up his vision and help him turn things around at the plate when he returns.

Wed Mar 16 202212:16Eddie Rosario Returns To Braves On Two-Year Deal
The Atlanta Braves re-signed outfielder Eddie Rosario to a two-year, $18 million deal on Wednesday. The contract contains an option for a third year. Rosario began the 2021 season with Cleveland before being traded to the Braves at midseason. The 30-year-old lefty slugger really came alive after joining the Braves. He finished with a .271/.330/.573 slash line, seven home runs and 16 RBI for Atlanta in 33 regular season games, but he hit an incredible .383/.456/.617 with a 1.073 OPS, three home runs and 11 RBI in 16 playoff games on the way to a World Series ring. Rosario was named the NLCS MVP for his efforts and will likely be overvalued in fantasy heading into the 2022 season as a result. Expect him to be the Braves everyday left fielder.

Wed Mar 16 202211:05Eddie Rosario Down To Three Teams
Free-agent outfielder and postseason hero Eddie Rosario has narrowed his choices to three teams as the outfield market starts to heat up in free agency. With outfielder Kyle Schwarber headed to the Philadelphia Phillies, Rosario's market will perk up. The 30-year-old spent the 2021 season with Cleveland and Atlanta, hitting a combined .259/.305/.435 with 14 home runs, 62 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 42 runs scored in 412 plate appearances over 111 games. The overall numbers are solid but not great, but it wasn't until he got to the Braves when things really started to go well. Rosario hit .271 with seven homers and 16 RBI in 33 games with Atlanta to close out the year, and then he went off in the postseason to hit .383 (23-for-60) with three home runs and 11 RBI in 16 games. His awesome playoff performance will likely cause fantasy managers to overspend.

Thu Sep 23 202113:22Eddie Rosario Taking A Seat On Thursday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Madison Bumgarner and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Adam Duvall, Jorge Soler and Guillermo Heredia will be patrolling the outfield for the game. Rosario has really started to heat up lately. He hit for the cycle this past Sunday and he has six home runs and a 1.075 OPS in September. If he's available in your league and you need outfield help for the final week and a half of the season, he's a great add. Expect to see him back in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the San Diego Padres.

Mon Sep 20 202100:31Eddie Rosario Hits For The Cycle
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario did something only a handful of players have accomplished this season. On Sunday, Rosario went 4-for-4 and hit for the cycle during the 3-0 win over the San Francisco Giants. He joins teammate Freddie Freeman, Jake Cronenworth and Trea Turner as the only players to hit for the cycle this season. Rosario will take a .268/.307/.433 slash line with 12 homers, 57 RBI into his next game. He continues to put up respectable numbers, but this was a once in a season type of performance by Rosario.

Thu Sep 16 202110:34Eddie Rosario Blasts Homer On Wednesday
Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario wore jersey No. 21 in honor of Roberto Clemente during Wednesday's game. Apparently, it helped him at the plate, because he put together a two-hit performance. Rosario went 2-for-3 with a home run, walk and two RBI in the 3-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies. Since joining Atlanta, Rosario is hitting .256/.333/.641 with four homers in 39 at-bats. There isn't a ton of value from Rosario right now, but he is a capable player with the bat.

Sat Aug 28 202108:14Eddie Rosario Reinstated On Friday
The Atlanta Braves reinstated outfielder Eddie Rosario (abdominal) from the 10-day injured list on Friday. Fellow outfielder Abraham Almonte was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Rosario had been out since July 5 due to an abdominal strain. He was acquired by the Braves from the Cleveland Indians prior to the trade deadline while he was nursing the injury. He didn't appear in Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants, but he should make his debut with the Braves soon. The Braves have a bit of a clogged outfield right now and as a result, Rosario will likely only start about two out of every three games at best going forward.
