Tue May 2809:34Jrue Holiday Caps Off Efficient Series With 17-Point Effort
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday finished Monday's Game 4 victory against Indiana with 17 points, nine rebounds, and two assists, shooting 7-for-13 from the floor and hitting twice from downtown with six attempts. Despite picking up an illness bug in the middle of the series, Holiday was highly efficient throughout the matchup. He hit nearly 42 percent of his three-point attempts and shot 58.7 percent overall to average 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.5 steals. With him in such good form, the Celtics look near unbeatable.

Sun May 2618:03Jrue Holiday Questionable For Game 4
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (illness) is questionable for Monday's playoff meeting with the Pacers. He's battling a non-COVID-related illness and held the same designation heading into Game 3 on Saturday night. However, the veteran was active and finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, and three steals in 38 minutes of work. With that said, the C's are up three games, so the team could give him a night off if needed. If that's the case, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser would presumably pick up extra minutes.

Sat May 2520:09Jrue Holiday Available For Game 3
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (illness) is available for Saturday's meeting with the Pacers. Holiday was added to the injury report because of a non-COVID-related illness. But he participated and shootaround before the game, so he feels well enough to give it a go. The 33-year-old has played well during the Eastern Conference Finals, averaging 21.5 points, 9.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. He's also shot 58.3% from deep. However, Indiana won't have Tyrese Haliburton for Game 3, meaning Holiday could see less work than usual if the Celtics build a big lead.

Sat May 2517:33Jrue Holiday Remains Questionable For Game 3
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (illness) is questionable for Saturday's postseason showdown with the Pacers. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) wouldn't play. However, the C's could also be without one of their stars for Game 3 because of a non-COVID-illness. The 33-year-old played well in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, averaging 21.5 points, 9.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. He's also shot 58.3% from behind the arc. With Luke Kornet (wrist) doubtful, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard could see even more minutes if Holiday doesn't play. But even if he does suit up, he could be limited.

Wed May 2209:26Jrue Holiday Finds Offensive Spark Tuesday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday had by far the best offensive outing of the 2024 postseason on Tuesday, finishing a 133-128 overtime victory against Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting. Entering Tuesday, Holiday hasn't managed more than 18 points in any playoff game this year, finishing with less than 10 points in four of 10 games, but he looked like a different man on the court Tuesday night. As usual, Holiday, who finished 4-for-8 with the three-ball, also made his mark defensively, snagging three steals, and he capped off his line with seven rebounds and eight assists. This could be another quick series for Boston if Holiday can keep up his form for the rest of the week.

Mon May 1322:44Jrue Holiday Looks Great On Monday Night
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday had 16 points in Monday's win over Cleveland. He also had seven boards, five assists, three steals, and one block. The 33-year-old has been on a roll, amassing 34 points and shooting 7-for-12 from behind the arc in the last two games. While Holiday has been difficult to trust from a DFS standpoint, especially after his subpar play in the Conference quarterfinals versus Miami, he deserves attention for Game 5 on Wednesday night.

Wed May 123:41Jrue Holiday Scores 10 Points In Game 5 Victory
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday contributed 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the team's Game 5 win versus the Miami Heat. The five-time All-Defensive Team guard closed a quiet offensive series by shooting 3-for-5 from the field on Wednesday. Holiday helped keep the opposing guards in check with his stellar defense, but he only averaged 7.8 points on eight shot attempts per game in the series. Derrick White becoming a bigger offensive force in the backcourt limits Holiday's fantasy ceiling. However, Kristaps Porzingis (calf) missing several more games in the next round could be a fantasy boost to improve Holiday's points and rebounds in a more challenging series.

Sat Apr 1321:53Jrue Holiday Sidelined Against Washington
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (knee) won't play on Sunday against the Wizards. Holiday has been banged up all year. With that in mind, the C's need him as healthy as possible for the playoffs, so he'll sit out on Sunday. The C's also won't have Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White (ankle). As a result, Payton Pritchard, coming off a double-double in Friday's win over the Charlotte Hornets, is a lock for all DFS contests.

Fri Apr 1218:03Jrue Holiday, Derrick White Out On Friday
Boston Celtics guards Jrue Holiday (knee) and Derrick White (ankle) won't be in the lineup on Friday versus Charlotte. Boston will run with its bench mob against the Hornets, as the entire starting five plus Al Horford (toe) has been ruled out. Payton Pritchard will get the keys to the backcourt, with Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk also in a position to benefit from the absences of Holiday and White.

Thu Apr 1118:00Jrue Holiday Cleared To Play Thursday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (knee) will play against the Knicks on Thursday. A problem with his left patella initially left Holiday questionable for the game, but he's been upgraded to available. With Boston bringing all of its guns out on Thursday, Holiday will likely have to play second fiddle. However, he must be in high spirits after just securing a four-year, $135 million contract extension for himself, and this should help his performance. The 33-year-old is averaging 9.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists for the month.

Wed Apr 1020:11Jrue Holiday, Celtics Agree To Contract Extension
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, guard Jrue Holiday (knee) and the Celtics agreed to a four-year, $135 million extension. The 33-year-old was traded to the Celtics before the 2023-24 campaign after spending his last three seasons with the Bucks. Although his scoring numbers have dropped significantly since last season, he remains one of the most capable defenders in the National Basketball Association. While retaining Holiday will help keep Boston competitive moving ahead, it also opens up some much-needed cap space. Unfortunately, Holiday is no longer a consistent fantasy asset, and his durability over the years has also been an issue. Still, his upside is still higher than most, and it should stay that way for at least a few more seasons.

Thu Mar 2818:54Jrue Holiday Available On Thursday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) will play on Thursday against the Hawks. The 33-year-old has been sidelined for the last five games because of an AC joint sprain and was listed as questionable for the rematch versus Atlanta. However, he's good to go and won't have any restrictions, which is certainly good news for fantasy managers. Sam Hauser, who has averaged 12.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in 10 starts this year, will head back to the bench. Yet, with Al Horford (toe) out, Hauser could remain involved enough to warrant DFS consideration.

Wed Mar 2721:18Jrue Holiday Might Return On Thursday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's game against Atlanta. He's missed the last five games with an AC joint sprain, so this could be his first appearance in nearly two weeks. But the C's are sitting comfortably atop the Eastern Conference, meaning Holiday won't be on the floor until he's fully healthy. Nonetheless, if he sits out another game, Sam Hauser, averaging 12.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in 10 starts during the 2023-24 campaign, could remain with the first five.

Wed Mar 2713:00Jrue Holiday Participates In Wednesday’s Practice
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) participated in practice on Wednesday. Holiday has missed Boston's last five games with a shoulder injury, but his activity at Wednesday's session is encouraging for his status for Thursday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The first-place Celtics will submit their official injury report later on Wednesday, and the two-way veteran guard should be tentatively deemed questionable at worst ahead of time. The sharpshooting Payton Pritchard has enjoyed quite a hot run as a fantasy streamer, averaging 17.7 points, 7.7 dimes, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 threes on 45.2% shooting from downtown across his past six showings (two starts), but he would revert to the second unit if Holiday returns. Atlanta carries the third-worst defensive efficiency rating (116.8) in the Association during 2023-24.

Sun Mar 2418:09Jrue Holiday Out Again On Monday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) remains out on Monday versus Atlanta. He'll now miss a fifth consecutive game. However, the C's have a firm hold on the No. 1 spot in the Eastern Conference, so there's no point in rushing Holiday back. With Derrick White (hand) questionable, Payton Pritchard will see an uptick in attention from fantasy managers even if he doesn't start, especially after amassing 15 points and eight assists in Sunday's win over the Bulls. Sam Hauser, coming off a 23-point effort versus Chicago, will also be an ideal DFS value option.

Sat Mar 2317:11Jrue Holiday Out On Saturday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) won't play against Chicago on Saturday. The veteran sits out a fourth consecutive game. With Holiday missing, Payton Pritchard has strung together a nice run of good performances and should contribute well again on Saturday in a good matchup. The Bulls struggle to guard the three-point line, giving up the second-most three-point makes in the league, putting Pritchard in a great position to do damage from deep, along with the rest of the C's.

Thu Mar 2118:18Jrue Holiday Ruled Out For Friday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) won't play on Friday versus Detroit. The veteran will miss his third consecutive contest because of an AC joint sprain, and there's a chance he won't suit up for Saturday's game in Chicago. With Jaylen Brown (ankle), Jayson Tatum (ankle), and Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) questionable, Derrick White could see a substantial bump in fantasy production, assuming Detroit can keep the game relatively close. Payton Pritchard, coming off a 19-point effort in Wednesday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks, would likely enter the starting lineup, ultimately giving him more value for DFS lineups.

Wed Mar 2018:12Jrue Holiday Won't Play On Wednesday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) will miss a second consecutive game on Wednesday against Milwaukee. The team has downgraded him from questionable to out. Payton Pritchard, who's coming off a pair of very strong games, looks set for a large role again in the rotation with Holiday unavailable, especially as Sam Hauser (ankle) also misses the game. Pritchard recently bagged his first double-double of the campaign and put up 23 points against Detroit on Monday.

Tue Mar 1922:51Jrue Holiday Questionable Against Milwaukee
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee. It will be a battle between the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. However, both clubs could be without some of their top performers. Holiday wasn't available for Sunday's win over the Detroit Pistons because of an AC joint sprain. But with Jaylen Brown (ankle) and Sam Hauser (ankle) questionable, the Celtics may rely mainly on Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Derrick White for production. Payton Pritchard, coming off a 23-point performance on Sunday, would also be an ideal streaming option if Brown, Holiday, or Hauser don't suit up.

Mon Mar 1815:22Jrue Holiday Sitting Against Pistons
The Boston Celtics have ruled out guard Jrue Holiday (shoulder) for Monday's contest versus the Detroit Pistons. Dealing with a right shoulder contusion in the aftermath of Sunday's blowout win over the Washington Wizards, Holiday will catch a breather on the second leg of Boston's back-to-back against the last-place Pistons. The two-way star guard should have a good chance at suiting up for Wednesday's clash between two Eastern Conference heavyweights and a revenge game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Derrick White has been a second-round player overall in nine-category fantasy leagues, and across six games without Holiday this year, he's averaging 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.1 three-pointers, and 2.1 combined steals plus blocks and is in a smash spot against a Detroit team that's allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards.
