Tue Mar 14 202315:33Bennedict Mathurin Still Without Timetable To Return
Indiana Pacers forward Bennedict Mathurin (ankle) has missed the team's last two games with a sprained right ankle and seems to be trending toward missing a third game on Thursday. The team has not given a timetable for his return just yet, but head coach Rick Carlisle said that he's "making some real positive strides with his rehab." There is no reason to rush him back while the team doesn't have great championship hoes this year. He has given rookie of the year voters a reason to think about him for the award though as he has averaged 16.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

Sat Mar 11 202316:30Bennedict Mathurin Remains Out Against Detroit
Indiana Pacers forward Bennedict Mathurin (ankle) won't play on Saturday against the Pistons. The rookie played sprained his right ankle during Thursday's win over the Houston Rockets, limiting him to only three minutes. As a result, Chris Duarte got some extra work in that one, finishing the night with 10 points and two steals in 24 minutes. Nevertheless, Tyrese Haliburton (knee), T.J. McConnell (back), and Myles Turner (back) are all questionable, so Duarte may continue to benefit on the fantasy end. At the same time, Jordan Nwora, Aaron Nesmith, and Andrew Nembhard could also see a significant uptick in production.

Fri Mar 10 202315:19Bennedict Mathurin To Miss Next Two Games
Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (ankle) is expected to miss the next two games, according to head coach Rick Carlisle. Mathurin was only able to play three minutes during Thursday's game before exiting due to a right ankle sprain. The expectation is that Chris Duarte and Jordan Nwora will be asked to help fill the void. Both players could see roughly 20 minutes of action with Mathurin on the sideline. That being said, both Duarte and Nwora could be worth looking at as streaming options while Mathurin is out.

Thu Mar 9 202321:20Bennedict Mathurin Unable To Return On Thursday
Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets. The 20-year-old guard played three minutes before suffering a sprained right ankle. He was originally tagged as questionable to return, but the team decided to hold him out for the rest of this contest. Chris Duarte and Jordan Nwora should absorb additional playing time while Mathurin is out. Between the two, Duarte is the better fantasy option, assuming Mathurin is forced to miss time.

Mon Jan 30 202307:55Bennedict Mathurin Paces Indiana With 27 Points
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin led the squad with 27 points on 9-for-20 shooting in Sunday's 112-100 loss to Memphis. Indiana blew a big lead in the second half and the team can't be happy about how things went, but on a personal level, Mathurin should be pretty satisfied with his contribution. The 20-year-old, who was 2-for-6 from deep Sunday, has scored more points in only two games during his rookie campaign. Mathurin even led the team with eight rebounds and had three assists and one steal off the bench. The Pacers have given him just six starts all season, but Mathurin is getting solid minutes regularly and it's helped him to start a five-game 20-point streak.

Sun Jan 8 202300:17Bennedict Mathurin Questionable Versus Charlotte
Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (shoulder) is questionable against the visiting Charlotte Hornets. The rookie has played well this season, averaging 17.4 points in 40 games, with nearly all of his appearances coming from the bench. If Mathurin can play, he always warrants fantasy consideration. However, if the shoulder soreness keeps him out, Chris Duarte, who has averaged a miserable 6.5 points per game in 2022-23, could see more minutes.

Sun Oct 30 202209:24Bennedict Mathurin Erupts For 32 Points
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin had the best game of his young career on Saturday, scoring a team-high 32 points off the bench in a 125-116 win over Brooklyn. He set his new scoring record as he went 6-for-9 with three-ball and shot 8-for-16 from the field and 10-for-10 at the line. The Canadian youngster also had five rebounds and two assists with two turnovers in 33 minutes on the court. Mathurin ended a scoring slump here, after making just 34.2 percent of his shots across the previous three games. He has adjusted well to the big league and is averaging 21 points per game early in the campaign with 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Hopefully, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle can also find a way to start squeezing out some defensive stats from Mathurin, who has another chance to pick the Nets apart on Monday.
