Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal has officially declined his $36.4 million player option for next season. That means, Beal will become one of the best free agents on the market this summer. Now, Beal can sign a five-year max deal with Washington or join another team on a four-year deal. The Wizards have failed to be competitive lately, which could mean Beal decides to leave. However, they did already acquire Monte Morris and Will Barton this offseason. Obviously, the Wizards are trying to show Beal that they do plan to win right now. He's going to a top tier fantasy value anywhere he goes, but no one would blame him for leaving the Wizards.

Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden has decided to decline his $47.4 million player option. Sixers fans don't need to worry because Harden does plan to return next season. In fact, Harden is declining the player option in order to give the team more financial flexibility. The idea behind this is the give the 76ers front office more money in order to upgrade their bench. Clearly, Harden believes this team can go all the way, assuming they boost their team slightly. This pass-first and shoot second Harden has worked well in Philly.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Luguentz Dort had his team option declined by the organization on Wednesday. That means, Dort will become a restricted free agent this summer. The two sides can now discuss a new deal since the team option was only worth $1.9 million for next season. It'd be shocking to see the Thunder let Dort leave as he appears to be part of their future core. Possibly, the Thunder just want to see what any other organization would offer Dort. A move to a more competitive roster might actually hurt his fantasy value as Dort currently gets significant minutes on the rebuilding Thunder roster.

Brooklyn Nets guard Patty Mills has decided to decline his player option and enter free agency. Last season, Mills averaged 2.8 three-pointers while playing nearly 29 minutes per game. He could draw plenty of interest in free agency, but is unlikely to find a starting spot anywhere. Mills is really only useful for his ability from beyond the arc, but can still be a decent contributor off the bench. Honestly, his fantasy value should be about the same on any team he lands.

The Atlanta Hawks have acquired All-Star guard Dejounte Murray in a trade with the San Antonio Spurs. In exchange for Murray, the Hawks are sending Danilo Gallinari, three first round picks (2023, 2025 and 2027) and a 2026 pick swap to the Spurs. Murray had a breakout season in 2021-22, averaging 21.1 points, 9.2 assists, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. He'll be joining Trae Young to make up a scary-looking backcourt in Atlanta. Meanwhile, the Spurs will now enter the discussion for the first overall pick in the 2023 draft as the franchise has its sights set on a full-on rebuild.

Indiana Pacers guard Buddy Hield is receiving trade interest from the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Matt Moore of Action Network. Hield split the 2021-22 season with the Pacers and the Sacramento Kings. Over 26 games with the Pacers, he averaged 18.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 44.7% from the field and 36.2% from three-point range. He has two years remaining on his contract and is set to make about $20 million in 2022-23. If the Lakers wind up trading for him, it would likely mean that the team would let fellow three-point specialist Malik Monk walk in free agency.

The Houston Rockets are reportedly looking to add some center depth in free agency. The team's top two targets right now appear to be Mo Bamba and Isaiah Hartenstein. Kelly Iko of The Athletic reported that Rockets general manager Rafael Stone could be prepared to make a substantial offer to a veteran if he feels the player is still young enough to grow with the team's young core. Iko also added that Chicago and Orlando will be in the mix for Bamba while several teams are expected to pursue Hartenstein. The Rockets traded center Christian Wood to the Dallas Mavericks a few weeks back. As a result of the trade, the team currently has few other center options behind Alperen Sengun.

Veteran free-agent forward P.J. Tucker has been a hot name on the market leading up to the 2022 NBA free-agency period. At first, it sounded as if he may be returning to the Miami Heat next season. But now it looks like the Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as the favorites to sign the 37-year-old. According to Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, "Philadelphia continues to be mentioned as the leader to land Tucker on a widely-discussed deal that could reach as high as three years and $30 million." Fischer also mentioned that the team could be looking to trade fellow wing Matisse Thybulle to clear up both salary cap space and a rotation spot for Tucker.

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Matisse Thybulle has been the center of trade speculation lately as the 76ers are in the midst of figuring out their plan for the next season. On Wednesday, Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report gave an update on the 76ers' offseason approach, saying that the team is "still exploring various trade options to free financial flexibility." He stated that the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers have emerged as the top suitors for Thybulle. Moving Thybulle could help free up cap space and a rotation spot for a more well-rounded veteran to land in Philly. While Thybulle has been a stud on the defensive end, he's also been an offensive liability as he averaged just 5.7 points over 25.5 minutes per game last year.

The New York Knicks are expected to sign center Mitchell Robinson to a four-year contract worth around $60 million, according to sources of Bleacher Report. The Chicago Bulls had been rumored to be interested in signing the 24-year-old free agent, but now it seems as if he's not going anywhere. This news comes a day after the Knicks dumped the combined $19 million salaries of Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks on the Detroit Pistons. The Knicks have emerged as the frontrunners to sign free agent guard Jalen Brunson. If they can manage to retain Robinson while still landing Brunson, the team could be in good shape going into the 2022-23 season.

The Denver Nuggets have acquired guard/forward Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and point guard Ish Smith in a trade with the Washington Wizards. The Nuggets sent guard Monte Morris and forward Will Barton to Washington in the deal. KCP figures to be a key wing for the Nuggets in 2022-23. Last year, the versatile veteran averaged 13.2 points, 2.1 three-pointers and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 39% from three-point range. Smith, meanwhile, will help give the Nuggets point guard depth behind Jamal Murray, who is expected to make his long-awaited return at the start of the upcoming season.

The Portland Trail Blazers are expected to offer star point guard Damian Lillard a two-year contract extension that is worth more than $100 million, according to sources of Bleacher Report. Lillard is currently signed on through the 2023-24 season with a player option for 2024-25. If he were to agree to a two-year extension, he'd be under team control through 2025-26. The team's recent acquisition of veteran forward Jerami Grant has helped improve the franchise's standing with Lillard. The Blazers now look to be in better shape to compete this coming year and the franchise will most certainly be using that fact as leverage to land the extension.

The Denver Nuggets and Washington Wizards have agreed on a two-for-two trade. Morris could wind up being the most impactful member of this foursome next year. Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook picked up his player option of $47.1 million this week. Westbrook has been at the center of trade rumors lately, specifically in regards to a blockbuster swap that would send him to Brooklyn in exchange for fellow guard Kyrie Irving. However, NBA reporter Shams Charania stated on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday that all indications he has received from the Lakers are that the team wants to see Westbrook succeed in a Lakers jersey. The 33-year-old had one of the worst seasons of his career by just about all measures last year. He averaged 18.5 points and 7.1 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field and 29.8% from three-point range.

The New York Knicks have emerged as the favorites to land free-agent guard Jalen Brunson. On Tuesday, it was announced that the team was trading center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to the Detroit Pistons, clearing up $19 million in salary cap space. Sources of ESPN report that following this salary cap dump, the Knicks are prepared to offer Brunson a contract "in the neighborhood of $110 million." Brunson took a major step forward last year, as he averaged career-highs in both points per game (16.3) and assists per game (4.8) while shooting 50.2% from the field and 84% from the free-throw strike. He would bring much-needed stability to a Knicks backcourt that has been plagued by turnover, injuries and inconsistency for the past several years.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and forward Taurean Prince have agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract extension. Last year was Prince's first season with the T-Wolves. He appeared in 69 games and averaged 7.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field. He figures to be one of the team's first forwards off the bench yet again this year and should see right around the 17 minutes per game he averaged last year.

The New York Knicks are trading center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to the Detroit Pistons, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Knicks are also sending two future second rounders and cash. The move is likely being made by New York to free up cap space to sign free agent guard Jalen Brunson. Noel and Burks are due a combined $19 million this year. As for the Pistons, the franchise will be taking on a pair of expiring contracts with team options for the 2023-24 season. With the extra $19 million against the team's cap, it's perhaps less likely that the Pistons will be in on the Deandre Ayton sweepstakes this summer.

Miami Heat forward P.J. Tucker is expected to get a fully-guaranteed three-year deal from the organization. The Heat aren't allowed to offer more than three years, but that's likely what Tucker would get in free agency. The deal would be worth $27 million, which is probably around what he would get in free agency. The veteran forward is likely to take less money in order to stay in Miami. Tucker is a great locker room presence and an above average defender. He'd draw interest from multiple contenders, assuming he enters free agency.

Sacramento Kings forward Trey Lyles is expected to remain with the team next season. He played well for the team after being traded from the Detroit Pistons. Lyles averaged 10.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in 24 games with Sacramento. It sounds like Lyles will remain with the team for another season, but likely as a backup. The Kings have Domantas Sabonis and rookie Keegan Murray as their main options down low. It's unlikely that Lyles holds fantasy value while the Kings are healthy.

Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac has agreed to a three-year deal with the organization. The Clippers declined his $7.5 million player option in order to sign him to an extension. Now, Zubac will get a nice new shiny $33 million deal. He averaged career highs in points (10.3), rebounds (8.5), assists (1.6) last season. He provided 12th round fantasy value in 9-cat leagues. The hope is that the young center continues to improve his game next season. The Clippers don't have much talent down low, so Zubac should continue seeing significant playing time.
