Mon Feb 3 201410:58Gerald Wallace held out as DNP-CD Sunday
Gerald Wallace returned from a family funeral in time to play on Sunday, but coach Brad Stevens opted to keep him out of the lineup.
The Celtics played with the lead throughout the first half and Stevens had already suggested that he'd give Wallace some time to gather himself emotionally, so his DNP-CD isn't too surprising. He should be ready to go vs. the 76ers on Wednesday.

Sun Feb 2 201416:47Gerald Wallace did not play on Sunday
Gerald Wallace did not play against the Magic on Sunday.
He was expected to play and went through warmups. There has been no word on why Wallace didn't play after returning from a death in the family, but his fantasy value took a big hit today with Avery Bradley returning to the lineup.

Sun Feb 2 201411:55Gerald Wallace expected to play Sunday
Gerald Wallace is expected to play Sunday vs. the Magic.
Wallace was away from the team dealing with a death in his family, but he has arrived in TD Garden and is expected to play. Wallace has the uncanny ability of putting up close to no stats even when given heavy minutes, however there is only one game played in the NBA on Super Bowl Sunday, so if you're desperate for a body go ahead and plugin Wallace.

Sat Feb 1 201413:03Gerald Wallace (personal) still iffy for Sun.
Gerald Wallace (personal) wasn't available for Saturday's practice.
He's dealing with a recent death in his family and remains questionable to suit up vs. the Magic, which is the only game played around the NBA on Sunday.

Fri Jan 31 201413:38Gerald Wallace questionable for Sunday
Gerald Wallace (personal) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Magic.
Wallace had a death in the family and isn't sure if he'll be back with the team for Sunday. The 12-year veteran will be a very weak fantasy option even if he plays as Avery Bradley (ankle) is expected back.

Wed Jan 29 201423:32Gerald Wallace doesn't do anything in start
Gerald Wallace didn't make a field goal against the 76ers during a 95-94 loss, scoring one point at the line with eight boards, three assists and two blocks in 34 minutes.
He was spectacular in Rajon Rondo's last game out of the lineup and was just flat on offense tonight. Wallace's minutes have been all over the place and tonight's game isn't going to help his case for minutes. HIs owners probably shouldn't be too attached to him.

Tue Jan 28 201422:47Gerald Wallace starts, scores 5 points
Gerald Wallace started at shooting guard again for the Celtics and hit 2-of-7 shots for five points, three rebounds, two assists and a block in 23 minutes.
Brad Stevens said after the game he needs to find more minutes for Chris Johnson, and it wouldn't be all that surprising to see Johnson get a look in place of Wallace, who is a true forward. Avery Bradley should reclaim the job once he's back from his injury, but whoever starts in his place going forward should be better than Wallace was tonight.

Sat Jan 25 201400:08Gerald Wallace still plays well in start
Gerald Wallace played 29 minutes in his second consecutive start on Friday, scoring 13 points with two boards, three assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.
It wasn't quite as successful as his Wednesday game, but it was still a solid effort from Wallace. He would have likely saw some more playing time had the game been close and he still handled the ball frequently. Wallace is worth owning in standard leagues for the next week or so while Avery Bradley (ankle) is on the mend.

Wed Jan 22 201422:37Gerald Wallace fills the stat sheet in win
Gerald Wallace filled the stat sheet against the Wizards on Wednesday with nine points, six boards, nine assists, four steals, one block and two turnovers in 40 minutes.
The Celtics actually had him run the point with the second unit and he's clearly going to benefit from Avery Bradley (ankle) missing time. To be clear, he's not going to be running the backup point very often, but the vintage Crash defensive stats should be there. Wallace should have nice value in the next two weeks for owners in standard leagues.

Wed Jan 22 201417:44Gerald Wallace will start vs. Wizards
Gerald Wallace will join Phil Pressey, Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger and Kris Humphries in the starting lineup against the Wizards on Wednesday.
The Celtics have used Green and Wallace in the starting lineup before and it didn't really help Green at shooting guard. Chris Johnson figures to be a prominent piece off the bench after a nice showing on Tuesday. "Chris was unbelievable last night. I mean really, really, really good. Not just serviceable," coach Brad Stevens said. Johnson and Wallace are both worth looks for owners looking for help over the next two weeks without Avery Bradley (ankle)

Fri Jan 17 201422:27Gerald Wallace hits Lakers w/ throwback line
Gerald Wallace had a throwback performance on Friday, lighting up the Lakers for 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, four rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks.
The veteran forward has been outspoken this season, calling out his teammates on an almost daily basis, and tonight he backed up his words during 25 efficient minutes. The Celtics aren't going anywhere this year but that doesn't mean Wallace can't maintain a bench role. He will, after all, earn a guaranteed $20.2 million over the next two seasons.

Wed Jan 15 201410:03Gerald Wallace irate about role w/ Celtics
Gerald Wallace said on Tuesday that it's hard to come off the Celtics' bench behind players "who don't play with effort, don't respect the game and don't think team first."
In his most recent locker room diatribe, Wallace said that his season in Boston has been "a slap in the face ... I'm frustrated when I'm on the court." He's also dealing with a sore and stiff shoulders, back pain, ankle pain and "typical NBA bruises," and it will likely take a trade for the veteran forward to emerge as a standard-league fantasy option.

Mon Dec 30 201313:16Gerald Wallace (nose) fine, will play Tuesday
Gerald Wallace (nose) is "fine" and his absence in the second half of Saturday's game was "very precautionary," according to Celtics coach Brad Stevens.
There's zero indication that Wallace's status is in jeopardy for Tuesday's matinee vs. the Hawks. He'll jump back into his usual 15-20 minute role off the bench, which isn't conducive to fantasy value.

Sat Dec 28 201316:56Gerald Wallace's nose keep him out of action
Gerald Wallace did not play in the second half of Saturday's game due to a nose injury.
The training staff had the final say to keep Wallace on the bench after playing just nine minutes. Crash finished with two points, two boards and two assists in the win. He has barely any fantasy value and should be considered probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks.

Mon Nov 25 201322:46Gerald Wallace sticks it to old team
Gerald Wallace shot 6-of-10 from the field for 17 points with four boards, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes against his former team on Monday.
He was a big reason why the Celtics came out with a win at Charlotte and was very active on both ends. Wallace scored just 2.6 points per game in his previous five outings, so it's we'd have to see him do it again before thinking about picking him up.

Wed Nov 20 201316:10Gerald Wallace gets fined $10,000
The NBA fined Gerald Wallace $10,000 on Wednesday for profane language.
He played just 11 minutes on Tuesday and after the team got destroy by the Rockets, Wallace said a bad four-letter word in the post-game interviews. His minutes have dropped in each of the last three games and he's not worth holding in standard leagues at this point.

Wed Nov 13 201323:41Gerald Wallace plays 32 minutes Wednesday
Gerald Wallace was on the court for 32 minutes against the Bobcats on Wednesday, scoring 10 points with eight boards, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.
The team has used him at the power forward spot before and he was part of the solution to fill the void left by Jared Sullinger (knee) tonight. He had just one point in their last game on Monday, so he didn't gain too much value now that he's coming off the bench with a somewhat undefined role.

Mon Nov 11 201323:35Wallace held to one point, five rebounds
Gerald Wallace scored just one point on Monday, while adding five rebounds and three steals in 19 minutes off the bench.
Wallace's contract will go down on the short lists of memorable busts, but in the NBA's strange ecosystem it is being used as part of the Celtics' rebuild. Owners can do much better than Crash in 12-16 team leagues.

Sat Nov 9 201323:04Gerald Wallace quiet off Celtics bench
Gerald Wallace played 31 minutes off the bench on Saturday, but had just six points, six rebounds and seven assists on 3-of-5 shooting in an exciting win over the Heat.
Wallace loses a lot of value by coming off the bench and owners will have to take a close look at the waiver wire as long as he's not starting for the Celtics.

Thu Nov 7 201300:15Gerald Wallace comes off the bench
Gerald Wallace came off the bench on Wednesday and had nine points, nine boards, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers on 3-of-5 shooting in 23 minutes.
He wasn't happy about being bumped to the bench, but it's nice to see he turned his focus to the court and had one of his better games of the season. Wallace could be involved in some trade rumors and the team hasn't been secretive in their focus on 2014. His value took a hit here, so owners in standard leagues can probably do better.
