Wed Apr 2 201415:20Austin Daye out with lat strain for Wednesday
Austin Daye (lat strain) will not play against the Warriors on Wednesday.
He had a big game back on Mar. 22 when the Spurs rested Danny Green, but he's been quiet since. Daye can be left on the wire in all leagues and the severity of his injury is not yet known.

Tue Mar 25 201401:43Austin Daye has season-high 22 points
Austin Daye scored a season-high 22 points vs. the Sixers on Monday with six boards, one assist, two steals, two blocks and six 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
This might be a new low for the Sixers as Daye matched the second-highest scoring output of his career. Daye scored just 14 points this entire season, so this has fluke written all over it. We've talked about him for years as a guy with a high ceiling, but there's no way fantasy owners can use him unless they know Danny Green is going to sit out.

Sat Mar 8 201409:48Austin Daye scores first points for Spurs
Austin Daye knocked down a pair of 3-pointers at the end of Thursday's win vs. the Heat, marking his first points scored with the Spurs.
He came in for a few minutes during garbage time and won't have a significant spot in the rotation unless injuries hit hard. "I'm just happy to be here, honestly," Daye said. "I think it's a place I can grow and develop as a player." The fifth-year forward has a career 40.9 percent shooting average and he's unlikely to ever surface as a reliable fantasy option.

Wed Oct 23 201322:47Austin Daye scores 14 points in the preseason
Austin Daye hit three 3-pointers on his way to 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting to go with three boards in 12 minutes on Wednesday.
He's been a preseason start in previous years, but has yet to string together anything noteworthy is a long time. Daye isn't worth drafting in any league.

Tue Jul 30 201319:37Austin Daye agrees to sign with Toronto
Reserve forward Austin Daye has agreed to a two-year contract with the Raptors, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Daye has skills and typically shows them off in the preseason and training camp. However, he's had trouble putting it all together when it counts, and playing behind guys like Rudy Gay and DeMar DeRozan isn't going to help his cause this season.

Mon Jul 1 201312:59Grizzzlies make Austin Daye a UFA Monday
The Grizzlies did not send a qualifying offer to Austin Daye, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Daye was a throw-in player for the Tayshaun Prince deal. He played 12.3 minutes per game with the Grizzlies last regular season, scoring just 4.5 points per game. Daye is a summer-league superstar, but has yet to get his game in gear when it counts.

Sun May 26 201309:27Austin Daye deactivated for Grizzlies
Austin Daye was deactivated for the Grizzlies on Saturday, replaced in the active lineup by Donte Greene.
Daye has played a negligible role during the playoffs and his absence would only have been noticed by the most observant Grizzlies' fans. Greene didn't set foot on the court, for what it's worth, and neither guy is likely to play when Memphis tries to stave off elimination on Monday.

Wed Feb 20 201309:23Austin Daye happy with trade to Grizzlies
Austin Daye is happy with the Grizzlies and said that Lionel Hollins gives him "great insight" and "confidence."
Daye was a total afterthought with the Pistons, so it's not a surprise to see him embrace new scenery. Set for free agency at the end of the season, Daye is not certain to return to Memphis.

Thu Jan 31 201312:59Austin Daye will not be available Thursday
Austin Daye is not expected to play on Thursday, but should be available for the Grizzlies on Friday.
Daye, like Tayshaun Prince and Ed Davis, are expected to make their Grizzlies debut on Friday. Daye has real sleeper appeal with no clear starter at small forward in Memphis, and he's shown an ability to contribute in multiple categories when given the opportunity.

Wed Jan 30 201318:54Austin Daye could get new life in Memphis
G/F Austin Daye will reportedly be traded to the Grizzlies, along with Tayshaun Prince, in exchange for Jose Calderon.
Prince looks like the starter for the new starting small forward for the Grizzlies after the Rudy Gay trade, but it's possible Daye could see new life now that he's out of Detroit, where he never seemed to really get a fair shake. He's put up some incredible numbers in Summer League games and the preseason, but has never really gotten a chance to show his skills on a full-time basis. There's a decent chance the same will be true in Memphis, but he's at least worth keeping an eye on for his new team.

Sun Jan 6 201323:01Austin Daye scoreless in 11 minutes
Austin Daye went scoreless in 11 minutes during Sunday's OT loss, just one game after he scored a season-high 20 points.
He's been averaging around 20 minutes over the past two weeks, but his role won't increase as long as Tayshaun Prince is healthy.

Sat Jan 5 201301:24Austin Daye goes off for 20 points
Austin Daye was hot in Friday's win over the Hawks, shooting 9-of-11 from the field for 20 points with six rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
He's creeping on the radar in deeper leagues with 23.5 minutes per game in his last six games. The Pistons have won five of their last six games, so that certainly won't hurt Daye's chances to earn playing time. He's worth a look for owners that are holding a player that has lost his luster.

Tue Jan 1 201322:47Austin Daye scores 13 off Pistons bench
Austin Daye had 13 points, two rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 21 minutes off the Pistons bench on Tuesday.
Daye is suddenly in the Pistons' rotation and is averaging 8.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 3-pointers over his last five, making him worth a look in deep leagues.

Sat Dec 29 201201:44Daye gets heavy run on Friday vs. Heat
Austin Daye scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 29 minutes on Friday against the Heat.
The Pistons bench has been outplaying the starters recently, but these types of things tend to even out and Daye has been extremely inconsistent over his career. It's worth noting that the Pistons have been actively shopping him, but there are still more red flags than reasons to add Daye in most standard formats.

Wed Dec 26 201223:42Austin Daye finally gets run, produces
Austin Daye played a season-high 32 minutes and had eight points, 11 rebounds and two 3-pointers as the Pistons lost to the Hawks.
Daye hit a huge shot to force overtime and the Pistons stuck with their bench for the fourth quarter, as well as both overtimes tonight. We have always liked Daye's game and are not surprised by tonight's explosion, but would be surprised to see it happen again anytime soon under coach Lawrence Frank. Continue to ignore Daye in your fantasy league.

Wed Dec 19 201217:48Report: Pistons shopping Austin Daye
The Pistons are actively shopping F Austin Daye, a source told Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears.
The report comes after Daye had two points and two rebounds in 18 minutes Monday. Daye hadn't played since late Nov. and it's entirely possible the Pistons were showcasing him for other teams. Barring a change in circumstances, Daye isn't worth attention in most formats.

Tue Dec 18 201219:04Austin Daye could stick in Pistons' rotation
Austin Daye played 18 minutes in Monday's game, and Lawrence Frank said he'll have a chance to remain in the rotation.
Daye had just two points and two rebounds, but he hadn't played since late November and some rust is predictable. Even if he beats out Corey Maggette for backup SF minutes, Daye isn't worth fantasy attention in standard leagues.

Sat Dec 1 201204:22Daye (illness) does not play on Friday
Austin Daye (illness) did not play on Friday against the Grizzlies.
We're moving him off the injury report unless it's reported that the illness is still keeping him off the floor. After all, we're not even sure his ailment was responsible for his DNP-CD tonight.
