G Chris Paul's brilliant floor game included two surprising dunks, and he finished with 23 points in the Clippers' win over the Wizards on Monday. The 6-footer barely cleared the rim on either dunk, but his teammates roared with approval.

Hawes recorded a double-double on Sunday in a win over the Clippers, dropping 10 points (4-14 FG, 1-5 3PT) and grabbing 13 boards in a 106-94 victory.
This may just be one of those revenge games against his former squad, but the performance certainty muddles up already cluster frontcourt for the Hornets. Hawes will be competing with Cody Zeller, Tyler Hansbough, Al Jefferson, Frank Kaminsky and Marvin Williams for playing time and it seems possible he could get lost in the rotation.

Hawes, who was brought over as part of the Lance Stephenson trade, faces competition from Frank Kaminsky, drafted ninth overall by the Hornets.
Hawes struggled immensely for the Clippers after thriving in 2013-14 for the Sixers and Cavaliers, but his role in Charlotte is unclear. Kaminsky offers a lot of what Hawes does, a great scoring option, who can space the floor at the four and five, but Hawes has almost zero value in most fantasy leagues at this point.
Mon Jun 15 201520:42Spencer Hawes: Traded To Hornets
Hawes was traded to the Hornets on Monday, along with Matt Barnes, in exchange for Lance Stephenson, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Hawes signed a four-year, $22.7 million contract with the Clippers last summer, but he was a major disappointment this season as the backup to DeAndre Jordan. The Washington product's numbers were down significantly across the board, and he ended the season averaging just 5.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in fewer than 18 minutes per game. Hawes shot just 39.3 percent from the floor - an unacceptably low number for a center - while connecting on just 31.3 percent of his three-point attempts. The center appeared in only seven playoff games, due in large part to his struggles on the defensive end. He'll step into a situation in Charlotte where he'll compete for a larger role, though the veteran will need to prove he's committed to efficient play on both ends if he's to return to the form that made him an intriguing free agent target for the Clips last summer. Hawes, whose contract is not exactly team-friendly considering his performance this season, has three years and more than $17 million remaining on his deal, which includes a dreaded player option for the third year.

Hawes posted 5.8 points (39% FG, 31% 3Pt, 65% FT), 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0,7 blocks in 18 minutes per game during 73 regular season games in 2014-15.
Hawes appeared in only eight of the Clippers' 14 playoff games, averaging 2.9 points (53% FG, 50% 3Pt, 100% FT), 1.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.4 blocks in seven minutes per game. This was the least responsibility Hawes has had since his rookie season with the Kings back in 2007-08. Unless DeAndre Jordan signs elsewhere this summer, it's hard to imagine Hawes earning enough minutes to warrant much consideration in fantasy outside of deeper leagues.
Thu Apr 23 201516:36Spencer Hawes: DNP-CD in Game 2 Versus Spurs
Hawes received a DNP-CD in Game 2 against the Spurs.
It appears as though Hawes has been exiled from the rotation after playing a mere three minutes in Game 1. DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin will continue to dominate minutes at center and power forward, with Glen Davis taking what is left over. Hawes is not a fantasy factor at this time.

Hawes returned to his role on the bench on Sunday and was held scoreless in three minutes against the Rockets.
Hawes had been starting in place of injured Blake Griffin (elbow) who returned to action on Sunday. After Griffin went down, Hawes failed to show reason why he should maintain a primary role in the rotation, averaging 6.7 points (31.7% FG, 29.6% 3Pt) along with 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23 minutes per game in March. Hawes should see a large reduction in playing time as Griffin remains healthy.

Hawes is expected to head back to the bench with the return of Blake Griffin (elbow) into the starting lineup Sunday against the Rockets, the Orange County Register reports.
Hawes enjoyed a prolonged stint in the starting lineup with Griffin off the court but his bump in value will likely see its end Sunday. Expect Hawes to see limited time off the bench behind Griffin in the final leg of the regular season.

Hawes scored 14 points to go with nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, three blocks, and two three-pointers in 23 minutes Sunday against the Bulls.
Hawes played a little over his head Sunday, finally stringing together a stat line that is relevant for standard leagues. He went five straight games prior to Sunday scoring in double digits, and since Blake Griffin went down nine games ago, Hawes has averaged a disappointing 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 0.9 three-pointers in 26 minutes per game. Don't go chasing Hawes-er falls. Griffin's return is getting closer, and once he's back, Hawes' limited value will dry up even more.

Hawes scored 17 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), to go with one rebound, and a block in 35 minutes off the bench on Sunday.
With Blake Griffin on the sidelines Hawes should get plenty of run. Last year he proved he can put up big numbers if he gets the minutes, but this game wasn't quite an example of that. If you need big man stats, with some three-point production, in the short term Hawes is worth an addition to see if he can match the totals he put up previously.
Sun Feb 8 201512:25Spencer Hawes: Will Start Sunday
Hawes will start in place of Blake Griffin (staph infection) on Sunday against the Thunder.
Hawes is in store for a significant boost in value while Griffin is off the court dealing with a staph infection on his elbow. The timetable for Griffin's return is pretty vague at this point, but Hawes is expected to garner extra playing time through the All-Star break at least.

Hawes scored four points (2-6 FG, 0-2 FT), while pulling down one rebounds, and handing out one assist in 18 minutes on Sunday.
In his seven games back from a knee injury Hawes hasn't posted anything that would make him worth owning outside of the deepest leagues. The Clippers were always in need of a dependable big man to come off the bench, but after seeing what Hawes was capable of with extended minutes last year it is disappointing to see him reduced to this. Maybe the Clippers find out a way to fully utilize him, but until signs sow that keep him off your roster.

Hawes provided 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and seven rebounds in 23 minutes in the win over New York on Wednesday.
Hawes is still ramping up his minutes after missing nine games with a knee injury. He should be able to help the Clippers space the floor and provide a fair amount of rebounds.

Hawes (knee) logged 13 minutes in his return to action Monday against the Jazz. He contributed two points, three rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
Hawes had missed nine games with the injury and it appears he'll be good to go moving forward. Still, he's averaging just 6.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks for the season, and won't be an option in most leagues unless DeAndre Jordan or Blake Griffin were to get hurt.
Mon Dec 29 201420:59Hawes (knee) will suit up Monday against Jazz
Hawes (knee) will suit up Monday against the Jazz.
Coach Doc Rivers said that Hawes is slated to earn some run, but he's unsure exactly how much. Because the rest of the Clippers' frontcourt is healthy, though, Hawes will more than likely be eased into action after a nine-game absence due to a bone bruise in his left knee.
Mon Dec 29 201414:36Hawes (knee) expects to play Monday
Hawes (knee) expects to play Monday, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.
He was listed as questionable, so this is a positive announcement. He has missed nine straight games, and will likely be eased back into action Monday.

Hawes (knee) is currently listed as "questionable" for Monday's game against the Jazz, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.
Hawes has missed nine straight games for the Clippers, but it looks as if the 7-foot-1 forward could be nearing a return. Once he does take the court, he'll likely be eased into action, and shouldn't see too much more than 20-25 minutes on a given night -- at least initially.
