Tue Apr 8 201419:46Andray Blatche out Tuesday with illness
Andray Blatche won't play on Tuesday due to an illness.
Like the news of Josh Smith's patella soreness, this came out of nowhere, and much too late for owners to do much about it. Why these types of issues aren't made public earlier remains a concern, especially when fantasy championships are on the line. With Kevin Garnett also out tonight, Mason Plumlee and Mirza Teletovic should be poised for good things tonight.

Sun Mar 30 201420:24Andray Blatche hits 7-of-11 shots vs. Wolves
Andray Blatche led the Nets' reserves on Sunday with 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks in just 21 minutes of action.
Blatche also committed five of the Nets' 20 turnovers, but they used a big advantage behind the arc to pull away for a 114-99 victory. With Kevin Garnett's return from back spasms still up in the air, Blatche should continue to play solid minutes as a backup PF/C until further notice.

Mon Mar 10 201423:04Blatche posts low-end stat line vs. Raps
Andray Blatche had just nine points and four rebounds in his 29 minutes off the bench on Monday, but he did manage to get two steals and a block while hitting 4-of-7 shots.
Blatche has been a mid-to-late round value over the last two weeks and his 0.8 turnovers per game over that span tilts favorably toward 9-cat formats. He's a bit of a roller coaster but playing in a less-than-competitive frontcourt that type of value should be owned in most formats.

Sun Mar 9 201420:42Andray Blatche quiet in 26 minutes vs. Kings
Andray Blatche played 26 minutes in Sunday's win vs. Sacramento, but he scored only four points on 2-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, two assists and two turnovers.
Blatche didn't put up any defensive stats in what was a thoroughly disappointing stat line. His inconsistency may be outweighed by the Nets' favorable rest-of-season schedule, especially while Kevin Garnett (back spasms) is out of commission and Mason Plumlee is struggling as a starter, so owners in need of a low-end big man should keep him on the radar.

Mon Mar 3 201423:39Andray Blatche scores 11 points in 28 minutes
Andray Blatche played 28 minutes off the bench during Monday's 96-80 win over the Bulls, scoring 11 points with five boards, three assists and three steals.
His shooting line of 4-of-11 from the field ins't great, but the minutes serve as a nice endorsement that coach Jason Kidd is comfortable playing Blatche a nice chunk of minutes. He's had some conditioning issues in the past and perhaps he's been able to shake them. Fantasy owners can give him a look and hope he stays near the 30-minute mark.

Sat Mar 1 201423:37Andray Blatche has big game off Nets bench
Andray Blatche played 30 minutes off the bench and hit 5-of-12 shots and 9-of-9 free throws for 19 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, three steals and a block on Saturday.
Mason Plumlee drew the start in the absence of Kevin Garnett (back), but Blatche got the minutes and production, as Plumlee played just 11 minutes. Blatche has had trouble getting consistent minutes from Jason Kidd, but may have helped his cause with tonight's performance. Keep an eye on him in case KG misses more time.

Thu Feb 27 201402:47Andray Blatche gets just 14 minutes in loss
Andray Blatche played just 14 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, finishing with three points and two rebounds on 1-of-6 shooting.
The game was a major blowout and Jason Kidd played 13 guys tonight. Only three of them scored in double digits and Deron Williams was the leading scorer with 12 points. There is nothing to learn from this one, but you can expect Blatche to bounce back. He had hit double digits in scoring in three straight games coming in, but the Nets threw in the towel shortly after tip off in the 124-80 loss.

Sun Feb 23 201401:19Andray Blatche goes for 14 & 8 in loss
Andray Blatche had 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals on 6-of-9 shooting in 28 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
Blatche got popped in the nose, but played through it with some sort of tissue stopping the bleeding. He should be good to go in the next one, but watch for updates in case he suffered a broken nose tonight.

Thu Feb 20 201401:23Andray Blatche goes off for 25 points
The good version of Andray Blatche showed up in Utah on Wednesday night with 25 points, six boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 31 minutes.
He's been all over the place with his minutes, including a six-minute outing back on Feb. 9. Blatche has shown some major promise here and there, but the inconsistency makes him a tough player to own in standard formats. If you're thinking about picking him up, tonight's line shouldn't be the only factor.

Thu Feb 13 201400:01Andray Blatche bounces back with 13 & 5
Andray Blatche had 13 points, five rebounds, a steal and a block on 6-of-11 shooting in 24 minutes Wednesday.
Blatche got into foul trouble on Sunday and scored just six points, but was back to form tonight. He's not exactly the dynamo we were hoping to see when Brook Lopez was lost for the season, but there's still time for him to get things turned around after the All-Star break. He's a borderline starter in 12-team leagues.

Sun Feb 9 201421:12Andray Blatche plays six minutes vs. Pelicans
Andray Blatche picked up a few quick fouls on Sunday and never got back on track, finishing with just six points and one rebound in six minutes.
He also turned the ball over three times in his limited action, and rookie Mason Plumlee (22 points) took full advantage of the extra playing time afforded him by Blatche's lousy night. Hopefully Blatche can turn things around during the Nets' final two games before the break on Wednesday and Thursday.

Fri Feb 7 201418:22Andray Blatche to start in place of KG Friday
Andray Blatche will start in place of Kevin Garnett on Friday vs. the Pistons.
That would likely mean the Nets will have a starting lineup of Deron Williams, Shaun Livingston, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce and Blatche. He's been a little hit or miss and out of shape, but he's able to really add a lot of stats to his lines, making him a solid player to start tonight.

Thu Feb 6 201422:28Andray Blatche (hip) plays 19 minutes
Andray Blatche played 19 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday with 10 points, six boards, four assists, three steals and one turnover.
After shaking off some apparent conditioning issues, Blatche was starting to heat up before his hip injury. Over his eight previous games before going down, he averages 14.4 points, 6.3 boards, 0.9 blocks and 0.4 triples in just 22.3 minutes per game. It's possible he can increase those numbers, which makes him a nice hold in standard leagues.

Wed Feb 5 201412:01Andray Blatche (hip) able to practice Wed.
Andray Blatche (hip) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Blatche has missed the past two games with a hip contusion but it appears he'll be ready to go vs. the Spurs on Thursday. Brooklyn's small lineup has limited Blatche's playing time, even with Brook Lopez out, but he averaged an efficient 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in under 21 minutes per game in January.

Mon Feb 3 201418:47Andray Blatche (hip) won't play vs. Philly
Andray Blatche (hip) will not play against the Sixers on Monday.
It will be his second game in street clothes in a row due to his bruised left hip. Blatche's injury is not considered serious, so he has a good chance to play Thursday vs. the Spurs. Mason "Ma$e" Plumlee will likely get some significant minutes after a four-block, three-steal game on Saturday.

Mon Feb 3 201411:28Andray Blatche (hip) game-time vs. Sixers
Andray Blatche (bruised hip) will be a game-time decision vs. the 76ers on Monday.
He missed Saturday's game vs. the Pacers and owners will have to check for status updates closer to tip-off. He had scored at least 17 points in five of his previous six games before getting hurt, despite playing limited minutes off the bench, and should maintain value all season with Brook Lopez (foot) out of commission and Kevin Garnett playing limited minutes.

Sat Feb 1 201418:05Andray Blatche (hip) will not play vs. Pacers
Andray Blatche (hip) will not play on Saturday.
He did travel to Indiana and the Nets could have used his size and rebounding to combat the Pacers, but they'll have to get by without him for at least one game. Consider him questionable to return for Monday's game vs. the 76ers.

Fri Jan 31 201423:50Andray Blatche (hip) will travel to Indiana
Andray Blatched suffered a bruised left hip on Friday and did not return.
He limped out of the arena, but said he will travel with the team for their game against the Pacers on Saturday. Blatche said he's unsure if he'll be able to play in that game and morning shootaround should have an update. He finished with seven points, one 3-pointer and one steal in 16 minutes.

Mon Jan 27 201422:52Blatche scores 20 points off the bench
Andray Blatche scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting with six rebounds, two steals and one block in Monday's loss.
Blatche is back on a roll after a slight slowdown on Friday and should be in all lineups.

Mon Jan 27 201401:11Andray Blatche scores 17 points vs. Boston
Andray Blatche quickly recovered from Friday's dud, scoring 17 points with four rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a pell-mell victory in Boston on Sunday.
The Nets are on a roll with Paul Pierce starting at PF, which almost ensures that Blatche will remain in a reserve role. He has also played 30+ minutes just three times all season despite Brook Lopez's absence, but none of that should obscure his fantasy value -- he's been a sneaky top-50 option in the past 15 days thanks to averages of 16.5 points, 0.4 triples, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.2 blocks in a mere 26 minutes per game.
