Sat Mar 15 201421:35Martell Webster plays despite back injury
Martell Webster played through his back injury on Saturday and hit 2-of-6 shots and a 3-pointer for seven points.
He could have had a decent night if Brad Beal would have missed the game with his ankle injury, but Beal played well tonight. If you grabbed Webster as a tentative pick up, drop him for Drew Gooden, who somehow had 21 points and nine rebounds tonight.

Sat Mar 15 201418:28Martell Webster (back) available Saturday
Martell Webster (back) will be available for the Wizards on Saturday.
At least we know that his setback wasn't serious, but with Bradley Beal (ankle, back) also active there isn't much upside for Webster in standard fantasy leagues. He's averaging 9.8 points and 1.8 triples in 26 minutes over Washington's past five games.

Sat Mar 15 201417:32Martell Webster (back) game-time vs. Brooklyn
Martell Webster is a game-time decision on Saturday due to his ailing back.
He missed time earlier in March but was able to make it through games on Wednesday and Friday. If he does suit up he might get a bigger workload than usual since Bradley Beal (sprained ankle) is also questionable to play.

Sat Mar 15 201401:03Webster could be in line for some minutes
Martell Webster played just 19 minutes on Friday and missed all four of his shots, but he could see some significant playing time with Bradley Beal injuring his right ankle.
Beal was carried off the court but has been listed as day-to-day pending an MRI on Saturday. Webster touched some early round value at times when Beal and others got hurt, but has been terrible ever since and may or may not be dealing with his own long-term back injury. He's worth a look but until we get a sense for Beal's injury owners looking for anything long-term are on their own here.

Wed Mar 12 201422:23Webster logs 31 minutes off the bench
Martell Webster logged 31 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, scoring seven points on 2-of-6 shooting with four rebounds and one 3-pointer.
Webster scored 17 points on Monday and this line isn't winning any awards obviously, but the minutes are high and a recent back injury would seem like a logical reason he fell off a cliff earlier in the year. Just keep one eye on him in case he continues to get heavy run and the numbers pick up.

Mon Mar 10 201422:07Webster scores 17 points with four threes
Martell Webster scored 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including four threes) with one rebound and one block in 30 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Webster's numbers have fallen off a cliff and perhaps his recent (and longtime) back injury have something to do with it. Whatever the case may be we need to see Webster do this again (and again) before we pay him any attention.

Sun Mar 9 201400:16Martell Webster (back) scores 15 points
Martell Webster returned from a back injury on Saturday with 15 points, one board and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes vs. the Bucks
He had some serious back issues a couple seasons ago and he's been able to avoid them for the most part in his two years with the Wizards. Webster's minutes dropped to just 24.4 per game in February due to the Wizards dropping the minutes cap on Bradley Beal, so he'll be tough to own as anything other than a 3-point specialist.

Sat Mar 8 201419:58Martell Webster (back) will return on Sat.
Martell Webster (back) will play against the Bucks on Saturday night.
He missed two games with his back problem and it allowed Trevor Ariza to really flourish. Otto Porter Jr. also saw some playing time, but he'll move out of the rotation for the most part tonight. Webster is a low-upside player for his ability to hit triples.

Sat Mar 8 201413:40Martell Webster (back) expected to play Sat.
Martell Webster (back) was a full participant in Saturday's shootaround and he's expected to play vs. Milwaukee.
He also practiced on Friday without any setbacks, so the veteran should be ready to play 20+ minutes as a perimeter specialist off the bench. He averaged 8.1 points and 1.8 threes in February, while playing 24 minutes per game, and his value is marginal as long as Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal are healthy.

Wed Mar 5 201419:06Martell Webster (back) won't play on Wed.
Martell Webster (back) will not play against the Jazz on Wednesday.
He was a game-time decision for tonight, but it would have taken a small miracle after missing shootaround this morning. Brad Beal and Trevor Ariza should get plenty of open looks against a porous Jazz defense while Otto Porter may see more playing time again.

Wed Mar 5 201417:42Martell Webster (back) is a game-time call
Martell Webster (back) is a game-time decision to face the Jazz on Wednesday.
He didn't go through shootaround and it would be a mild surprise to see him on the court tonight. The Wizards don't really need him with Bradley Beal capable of playing bigger minutes and Trevor Ariza playing at the highest level he's played at in quite some time. Otto Porter would also get more minutes tonight against a soft Jazz defense.

Wed Mar 5 201412:13Martell Webster (back) skips Wed. shootaround
Martell Webster (back) didn't participate in Wednesday's shootaround.
He wasn't able to practice on Tuesday and it doesn't seem as though he'll suit up vs. the Jazz, but we may not have a definitive update until just before tip-off. The outside shooting of guys like Otto Porter, Bradley Beal and Trevor Ariza will be critical for the Wizards if Webster misses any more games.

Tue Mar 4 201412:57Martell Webster back at Wiz practice Tuesday
Martell Webster (back) was present at Tuesday's practice.
Webster was a late scratch before Monday's game against Memphis, but it should be taken as a good sign that he was seen taking extra shots after Tuesday's practice. If he is unable to play against Utah on Wednesday, Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal would get extra burn, while Garrett Temple and Otto Porter would see a secondary increase in minutes as well.

Mon Mar 3 201418:51Martell Webster (back) will not play on Mon.
Martell Webster (back) will not play against the Grizzlies on Monday.
He had some serious back issues back with the Wolves a few seasons ago and there's no word of how severe this problem is for Webster. Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal should see a few more minutes in the starting lineup while Garrett Temple and Otto Porter could get in the mix a little more.

Sat Feb 8 201400:36Martell Webster knocks down six treys
Martell Webster made six 3-pointers against the Cavs on Friday for all 18 of his points with two boards in 24 minutes.
All 10 of his attempts came from downtown for his season high in both takes and makes. Webster's numbers have dropped off a bit now that Bradley Beal's playing time is on its way up, so this line shouldn't be viewed as something to warrant a pickup.

Sun Jan 26 201401:40Martell Webster plays despite illness
Martell Webster came off the bench for four points in 27 minutes on Saturday.
He was dealing with an illness and played through it, but now that Trevor Ariza is on fire again (23 points, six treys), Webster belongs on fantasy benches, if not waivers.

Sat Jan 25 201419:27Martell Webster (illness) says he can play
Martell Webster (illness) said he should be able to play vs. the Jazz on Saturday.
He had some food poisoning and it caused him to miss Friday's game vs. the Suns. The Wizards used Garrett Temple and Otto Porter to fill the void on Friday, so Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal aren't affected too much by Webster's return. He should remain owned in standard leagues for his 3-point shooting.

Sat Jan 25 201414:08Martell Webster (flu) game-time vs. Utah
Martell Webster (flu) will be a game-time decision vs. Utah on Saturday.
Garrett Temple and Otto Porter both stepped into bigger roles on Friday, and they'd do so again if Webster's illness costs him another game. The Wizards away game tips off at 9pm ET.

Fri Jan 24 201421:05Martell Webster (illness) won't play vs. Suns
Martell Webster will not play against the Suns on Friday due to flu-like symptoms.
With Bradley Beal on a minutes restriction, the Wizards could go with more Otto Porter and Garrett Temple tonight. Webster should be considered questionable for Saturday's game in Utah.
