Tue Dec 7 201000:52Arroyo scores season-high 18 points
Carlos Arroyo scored a season-high 18 points on a perfect 6-for-6 shooting from the field (2-of-2 from beyond the arc) to go with two rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes.
This is an early candidate for Arroyo's best line of the year. By a lot. He should be ignored in fantasy leagues unless all three of the Super Friends get injured, and even then, he may not carry any value.
Fri Nov 26 201023:35Arroyo scores 17, hits three treys in win
Carlos Arroyo hit 6-of-9 shots and tied a career high with three 3-pointers on his way to 17 points in Friday's nine-point win over the Sixers.
As hard as it may be to believe, the Heat probably wouldn't have won this home game against the East's worst team if Arroyo hadn't shown up in a big way. Arroyo has no fantasy value, but is worth keeping an eye on given how things are going in Miami.
Mon Nov 1 201011:09Carlos Arroyo is Miami's lone PG?
Carlos Arroyo is the only point guard in the Heat's rotation, and coach Erik Spoelstra intends to keep it that way.
"I'm only playing one point guard now," Spoelstra said. "And that is Carlos. And I'm divvying up the rest of the minutes between LeBron and Dwyane with our shooters." Fantasy owners shouldn't get too excited about Arroyo, though, and Miami is reportedly looking to acquire a better-shooting PG.

Mon Oct 25 201012:24Carlos Arroyo to start at PG for Heat
Carlos Arroyo will start at PG for the Heat when the season begins on Tuesday.
This news will be met by a yawn from fantasy owners, as the PG duties in Miami will primarily be handled by D-Wade and LeBron. As if that weren't enough, Arroyo will also be splitting minutes with Mario Chalmers.
Fri Oct 22 201000:41Arroyo starts, does nothing but watch
Carlos Arroyo started again at PG even with Mario Chalmers (ankle) back in action, but did nothing but watch LeBron James operate as he finished with two points on 1-of-6 shooting to go with one rebound and two assists in 22 minutes.
The PG slot in Miami is barely worth reporting on as they will literally hand the ball off and run to the corner. Neither are worth drafting in most formats.
Thu Oct 21 201013:20Arroyo will start for Heat tonight
Carlos Arroyo will start at point guard in Thursday's preseason game.
Arroyo has the starting gig pretty much locked up over Mario Chalmers, but it's nothing to get excited about. Arroyo won't get many shots when he is in the game and LeBron James/Dwyane Wade figure to run the point in clutch situations as well.

Tue Oct 19 201000:10Arroyo (groin) returns to action Monday
Carlos Arroyo (groin) returned to action in Monday's preseason game, and logged 22 minutes with six points on 2-of-7 shooting, no rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
With Mario Chalmers doubtful to play any preseason games, the starting job looks to be all but his for the beginning of the season. Him and Chalmers are likely to play in a timeshare, however, and there aren't going to be many touches for whoever mans the point, anyway. He's fantasy garbage.
Mon Oct 18 201019:21Arroyo (groin) will play on Monday
Carlos Arroyo, who has been sidelined with a groin injury, will play in Monday's preseason game.
He'll play but he'll be limited, and with Mario Chalmers still sidelined with an ankle injury he's the favorite to win the PG job. That job, unfortunately, will consist of handing the ball to a Super Friend, and getting out of the way.

Wed Oct 13 201020:03Arroyo hoping to return to action Friday
Carlos Arroyo, who has been out with a groin injury, is hoping to return to Heat practice on Friday.
He's got a decent chance at beating out Mario Chalmers for the starting point guard, job, if he can stay healthy.

Tue Oct 12 201004:53Arroyo (groin/ankle) misses practice Monday
Carlos Arroyo (groin/ankle) missed practice Monday.
Arroyo and Mario Chalmers are currently in a position battle for the starting PG job, with the winner getting whatever scraps are leftover by the Super Friends. Outside of extremely deep leagues both of them should be avoided.
Thu Oct 7 201018:27Carlos Arroyo could start for Heat
It sounds like Carlos Arroyo could have an edge over Mario Chalmers for the starting point guard job in Miami.
It really doesn't matter who wins the job, as the two players will split time and spend most of their minutes trying to stay out of the way of the Super Friends. Having said that, we could see Arroyo possibly developing some chemistry with the team and becoming a decent fantasy point guard, but that's far from a guarantee.
Sat Sep 18 201010:33Arroyo still in the running for PG job
Carlos Arroyo is still in the running to start for the Heat this season.
The veteran PG is competing with Mario Chalmers (whom Dwyane Wade already named the starter, though coach Erik Spoelstra isn't so sure). The opportunity exists at PG for easy assists and wide-open 3-pointers, so keep an eye on the Heat's position battles during training camp.

Wed Jul 21 201016:32Arroyo expected to re-sign with Heat
Carlos Arroyo is reportedly en route to Miami to re-sign with the Heat on Thursday.
Arroyo will likely break camp as the backup PG to Mario Chalmers, rendering his fantasy value marginal at best barring any injuries.

Sat Jul 17 201014:34Carlos Arroyo could be close to deal w/ Heat
Free agent PG Carlos Arroyo could be close to signing a contract with the Heat.
Arroyo, like all of Miami's recent acquisitions, will likely have to accept a (relatively) meager salary. Assuming he does sign, he'll likely play a backup role behind Mario Chalmers.
