Wright put up 10 points (3-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one steal in 10 minutes during Saturday's loss to the Hawks.
After taking the court only nine times in the first 26 contests, Wright has made appearances in six consecutive games, reaching double-digit minutes in each of the past four. The four-game run includes averages of 5.5 points (on 35 percent shooting), 2.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 treys, one block, and one steal in 15 minutes, which he should be able to sustain following news that Joel Freeland (shoulder) is joining Robin Lopez (hand) on the pine for the next two weeks. At the very least, Wright is a great bet to post modest three-point production for the first half of January.

Wright recorded eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 19 minutes in Friday's win against the Sixers.
On the season, Wright has ridden the pine most nights, as evidence by just nine appearances in the first 26 games. However, injuries and illness have afforded him run in four of the last five outings, during which he's averaged 6.5 points (on 50 percent shooting), 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers, and one assist in 17 minutes. As long as he's knocking down treys with some regularity, coach Terry Stotts will be hard-pressed to keep Wright off the court, especially after the Blazers tossed up a franchise-record tying 43 threes Friday. The return of LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) and/or Chris Kaman (personal) on Sunday would throw a wrench into those plans, but Wright is a player to watch in case absences to others forecast an uptick in his oscillating workload.

Wright scored three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-0 FT) in 2 minutes of action against the Knicks on Sunday.
Wright has been battling a pretty severe upper respiratory infection for the last couple of games, but he was able to play a couple minutes on Sunday.
Sun Dec 7 201418:30Wright (illness) active for Sunday's game against Knicks
Wright (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Knicks, Jabari Young of CSN reports.
Wright has missed the past six contests with an upper respiratory infection, but he's joined the team in New York and could play for the first time since Nov. 23. Despite being an established three-point threat, Wright has only made seven appearances this season, averaging 6.7 minutes per game.
Sat Dec 6 201413:58Wright (illness) probable for Sunday's game in New York
Wright (illness) is probable for Sunday's game in New York.
He has missed the last six games with an upper respiratory illness, and will go back to providing three-point shooting off the bench for the Blazers on Sunday.
Sat Dec 6 201413:15Wright (illness) with team on current road trip
Wright (illness) is with the team on the current road trip, Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl reports.
He should be considered questionable for Sunday's game in New York, but won't hold much fantasy value if he plays, as the Blazers like to ride their starters.

Wright will miss Thursday's game against the Pacers with an upper-respiratory illness.
Wright's illness comes on the cusp of Will Barton's return from an illness of his own. The Blazers will likely distribute the few minutes he averages among the other forwards.

Wright came off the bench for a season-high 12 minutes Friday against the Bulls.
Wright has had a diminished role in Portland this season as he's only seen action in six games while averaging 6.8 minutes on the court during those contests. As it stands, there's no reason to think Wright will see significant time on the court this season.
Thu Apr 24 201400:59Dorell Wright provides huge spark in 18 min.
Dorell Wright played just 18 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's Game 2 win, but was highly effective with 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and three 3-pointers.
That was what we were looking for a few weeks ago when Wright was filling in for Aldridge late in the regular season, but he was never nearly this good. If you took a flier on him in a daily money league, he might have been a lifesaver. Just don't expect him to do it again anytime soon.

Thu Mar 27 201422:07Dorell Wright vanishes on Thursday night
Dorell Wright did not score on his two shots in 10 minutes against the Hawks on Thursday.
He was obviously going to lose some playing time and shots with LaMarcus Aldridge back in the lineup, but it was not expected to be this large of a decrease. Fantasy owners should have already moved on from Wright.

Tue Mar 25 201421:29Dorell Wright quiet in road loss to Magic
Dorell Wright played 26 minutes in another start for Portland on Tuesday, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds, one assist and two turnovers.
He knocked down two 3-pointers, but made only 3-of-11 shots and didn't have any steals or blocks. LaMarcus Aldridge (back) is questionable to return for Thursday's game, and once he's healthy Wright will shift to a backup-PF role with negligible fantasy appeal.

Tue Mar 25 201400:21Wright limited in Monday's loss to Heat
Dorell Wright logged just 19 minutes in Monday's loss to the Heat, scoring seven points on 2-of-7 shooting (2-of-6 from deep) with three rebounds, one assist and no steals or blocks.
This isn't killing owners that took the plunge for the five-game week but generally speaking it's not paying the bills. Once the schedule is no longer a factor in his favor, he'll need to quickly pick up the pace in order to stay on 12-14 team rosters, assuming LaMarcus Aldridge is still out.

Sat Mar 22 201421:16Dorell Wright scores season-high 17 points
Dorell Wright scored a season-high 17 points vs. the Bobcats on Saturday to go with six boards and no turnovers in 24 minutes.
He didn't make any 3-pointers tonight and made all five shots from the free throw line. Wright has been in the teens in four of his last five games, averaging 12.2 points, 5.2 boards, 0.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.0 triples in that span. He's holding some nice short-term value while LaMarcus Aldridge (back) is out.

Fri Mar 21 201401:06Dorell Wright scores 15 points in start
Dorell Wright matched his season-high 15 points vs. the Wizards on Thursday with seven boards, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in just 20 minutes.
He was used a top tonight with 11 shots in his limited playing time. Wright was going to the rim and wasn't too shabby on the defensive end either. LaMarcus Aldridge (back) could be back soon, so if Wright is still floating around on the wire, you probably missed your window.

Wed Mar 19 201410:17Dorell Wright will keep backup PF job
Blazers coach Terry Stotts plans to use Dorell Wright as a backup PF once LaMarcus Aldridge (back) returns to action.
"We have to look at [Wright] as the backup [power forward], especially with Joel Freeland being out, because we are able to change the pace of play," Stotts said. "His presence on the court whether he makes a shot or not allows other opportunities for the guys on the court offensively." Wright has played under 20 minutes in each of the past two games, however, so even with Aldridge out he's tough to use in standard fantasy leagues.

Wed Mar 19 201401:31Dorell Wright struggles in another start
Dorell Wright missed all eight of his shots (seven of them 3-pointer attempts) and had one point, five rebounds, a steal and a block in Tuesday's win.
He'll likely continue to start as long as LaMarcus Aldridge is out with his back injury, making him worth holding in advance of next week's five-game schedule.

Sun Mar 16 201423:49Dorell Wright scores 13 points in 17 minutes
Dorell Wright finished Sunday's crushing home loss with 13 points, three 3-pointers, four rebounds, one steal and one block, despite playing only 17 minutes.
His per-minute efficiency can't be faulted but fantasy owners surely expected more playing time with LaMarcus Aldridge (back) still on the sidelines, and it seems Mo Williams' return was part of the problem. Portland plays three games next week but they follow that up with a five-game bombshell in the middle of the fantasy playoffs, so all is not lost for Wright's owners.

Fri Mar 14 201423:22Dorell Wright scores 15 points in start
Dorell Wright scored 15 points in a start on Friday with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, one block and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
He and some of his teammates allowed Anthony Davis to score 36 points on them, but Wright looked good on offense. Coach Terry Stotts might mix and match his way at power forward, so he's not a standard league add in most formats until he strings together a couple good games.

Fri Mar 14 201419:16Dorell Wright starting, not Thomas Robinson
Dorell Wright will start against the Pelicans on Friday night in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (back).
Coach Terry Stotts likes using Wright as a stretch four and Wright will run with a starting unit of Damian Lillard, Wes Matthews, Nicolas Batum and Robin Lopez. Thomas Robinson will come off the bench and should still see plenty of burn and could post a double-double.

Thu Mar 13 201410:43Dorell Wright played most of the minutes
Dorell Wright played 22 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday, scoring 10 points with six boards, one steal and one turnover.
Thomas Robinson replaced LaMarcus Aldridge (back) following his injury, but Wright stepped in for Robinson just three minute after that point. The catch is that the Blazers were down 61-48 and the they were struggling to get clean looks on 3-pointers vs. Gregg Popovich and Co, so they needed to spread the floor more. Wright is a strong bet to start while Aldridge is down, but Robinson is the guy most owners will want to grab.
