Sat Feb 8 201416:10Hedo Turkoglu day-to-day w/ bruised knee
Hedo Turkoglu (bruised knee) is listed as day-to-day in advance of Sunday's game vs. the 76ers.
Turkoglu hurt himself in the first half of Wednesday's game and the injury kept him out of both Friday's game and Saturday's practice. Matt Barnes and Jared Dudley will each get a handful of extra minutes if Hedo isn't ready to suit up.

Fri Feb 7 201422:58Hedo Turkoglu dealing with knee injury
Hedo Turkoglu will not play on Friday due to a bruised right knee.
It was only a matter of time before Hedo missed time after so much time away from the NBA. Turkoglu has no fantasy value and fantasy owners can expect Matt Barnes and Jared Dudley should absorb some minutes.

Sat Jan 18 201400:31Hedo Turkoglu makes season debut on Friday
Hedo Turkoglu played seven minutes in his season debut on Friday night, scoring two points with one board.
He looked like a guy that hasn't played basketball in quite some time. Turkoglu was slow getting up and down the court and it's hard imagine the Clippers asking him to do much dribbling. He can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.

Fri Jan 17 201418:22Hedo Turkoglu wil dress vs. the Knicks
Hedo Turkoglu will be active for Friday's game against the Knicks.
He shot just 26.4 percent from the field in his 11 games last season, so the bar is set pretty low for the 34-year-old forward. There's very little incentive to picking him up in fantasy leagues.

Thu Jan 16 201413:13Hedo Turkoglu signs with Clippers
Clippers sign F Hedo Turkoglu.
Turkoglu is aboard the Clippers plane that is headed to New York, where they will begin a seven-game road trip on Friday. His contract is believed to be for the entire season, but he probably won't have much fantasy value in anything but the deepest of leagues.

Wed Jan 15 201410:07Hedo Turkoglu in L.A. to sign w/ Clippers
Hedo Turkoglu is in L.A. and will sign with the Clippers once he passes a physical, according to Ismail Senol of Turkey's NTV SPOR.
Doc Rivers already tipped his hand about signing Turkoglu, and the contract is believed to be guaranteed for the season rather than a 10-day deal. Owners in deep leagues may want to keep an eye on his role off the Clippers' bench, but he should remain unowned in the vast majority of leagues.

Tue Jan 14 201414:19Clippers looking 'hard' at FA Hedo Turkoglu
Doc Rivers suggested that the Clippers may soon sign free agent Hedo Turkoglu.
Rivers was impressed by Turkoglu during a workout last week and said the Clippers are looking at him "hard." The veteran forward's ability to handle the ball and pass may be the primary cause of L.A.'s interest, as they look for creative ways to patch over Chris Paul's absence.

Sat Jan 11 201409:15Clips have no plans to sign Hedo Turkoglu
Doc Rivers said that free agent Hedo Turkoglu "looked good" during a workout for the Clippers on Thursday, but the team doesn't plan to sign him "anytime soon."
"He made shots from everywhere," Rivers said. "It was a good workout." The Clippers have a full 15-man roster and Rivers said that they may pursue Andrew Bynum, so they're in no rush to roll the dice on 34-year-old Turkoglu.

Tue Jan 7 201409:26Doc confirms Clips looking at Hedo
Coach Doc Rivers confirmed the Clippers are looking at free agent Hedo Turkoglu.
Turkoglu, 34, was waived by the Magic earlier this week. "I just like him," Doc said. "He's out there and we should look at him. I've always liked him. He can shoot and play [small forward and power forward]." The Clippers will kick the tires, but they won't find the player Rivers remembers. If they do make a signing, we wouldn't expect a significant role. The Clips are also rumored to be looking at fellow free agent Sasha Vujacic.

Mon Jan 6 201415:09Clippers rep met with Hedo Turkoglu
A Clippers representative met with free agent Hedo Turkoglu in Orlando.
The Clippers could use another small forward and it would be a bonus for it be a guy capable of handling the ball. Turkoglu hasn't looked good on a basketball court for a couple years and would have his work cut out to have fantasy value this season.

Mon Jan 6 201412:37Hedo Turkoglu clears waivers
Hedo Turkoglu has cleared waivers and is free to sign with any team that wants him, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today.
The Lakers are rumored to be interested in his services. Turkoglu hasn't made a consistent fantasy impact for a few seasons and the 34-year-old should be avoided in standard leagues until we see him suiting up and contributing.

Sun Jan 5 201409:33Lakers 'interested' in signing Hedo Turkoglu
The Lakers "may be interested" in signing Hedo Turkoglu once he clears waivers, according to HoopsWorld's Alex Kennedy.
Turkoglu wants to stay in the NBA and the Lakers might want to add a playmaking forward on a veteran's minimum contract, so there's at least some logic to the pairing. Turkoglu hasn't made a reliable fantasy impact for years and the 34-year-old should be avoided unless we see him on the court and producing.

Fri Jan 3 201417:18Hedo Turkoglu officially gets waived
Magic waive G/F Hedo Turkoglu.
The writing has been on the wall for the entire season and the move became official today. Turkoglu is 34 and he shot just 26.4 percent in his 11 games last season. There have been some great memories of Hedo through his career, but his playing days in the NBA might be over.

Thu Jan 2 201409:57Hedo Turkoglu hoping to revive NBA career
Hedo Turkoglu is keeping in shape in the hopes that he lands with another team this season.
The Magic are trying to trade Hedo by January 7th and will consider waiving him as a cost-saving measure if they are unable to find a trade partner. Meanwhile, the 34-year-old is working out in the hopes that he is able to land with another team if the Magic do indeed waive him. While Turkoglu was once a solid fantasy asset, he will provide minimal fantasy value even if he does end up on the court this season.

Tue Dec 24 201318:41Magic plan to deal Hedo Turkoglu by January 7
The Magic intend to waive or trade Hedo Turkoglu by January 7.
Turkoglu isn't part of Orlando's plans and if they waive him by the 7th they'll only owe him $6 million of his $12 million salary. It's possible that some team will eventually give him a minimum contract for the rest of the season once he clears waivers, but Turk's days of fantasy relevance are behind him.

Fri Sep 27 201318:08Hedo Turkoglu's days in Orlando are numbered
Hedo Turkoglu's days of playing with the Magic are over even though he's still under contract.
"Our organization has a great deal of respect for Hedo and the contributions he's made to the team over the years," Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan said. The writing has been on the wall and it's just a matter of time before the team cuts him. He's expected to play in Turkey next year.

Sun Sep 8 201309:05Turkish team still angling for Hedo Turkoglu
A manager with Fenerbahce Ulker in Turkey confirmed that the team hopes to sign Hedo Turkoglu, assuming he's bought out by the Magic.
"The roster is completed with the only possible exception of Turkoglu," said Mirsad Turkcan. "At this point he is locked in Orlando, if he gets released, he will maybe want to come back ... We are already speaking about it the last two or three weeks, it's not done yet and it's not easy." Previous reports suggested that Fenerbahce Ulker would offer Turkoglu $3.4 million per season, which is likely more than he'd garner in the NBA. He didn't help his value by struggling throughout Turkey's first-round exit in the EuroBasket tournament.

Sun Sep 1 201313:29Magic, Turkoglu working on contract buyout
The Magic and Hedo Turkoglu are reportedly working on a contract buyout.
Turkoglu is owed a guaranteed $6 million in the final year of his deal. The rebuilding Magic have no interest in keeping the 34-year-old veteran. It's unclear how much interest he'd draw in the NBA as a free agent, but the team Fenerbahce Ulker is reportedly willing to pay him $3.4 million annually to play in his native Turkey.

Tue Aug 27 201309:14Report: Hedo offered $3.5m annually in Turkey
The Turkish team Fenerbahce Ulker has reportedly made Hedo Turkoglu a contract offer worth $3.5 million per year.
It's a moot point unless the Magic buy out his contract for $6 million, which is likely but not certain since he might be a useful chip to facilitate trades before the deadline this year. Hedo has said that he'd like to remain in the NBA for a few more seasons, but a lucrative offer in his native country may be too appealing to pass up.
