Sun Nov 17 201318:50Chuck Hayes (face) is questionable to return
Chuck Hayes took an elbow to the face in the the first quarter of Sunday's game and is questionable to return.
Marc Gasol had the ball and he gave Hayes an accidental elbow as he tried to switch the ball to the other side of his body from the triple-threat position. Hayes didn't seem to be concussed or anything, but we'll update his status as the info becomes available.

Tue Jul 16 201311:12Chuck Hayes open to a trade from Kings
Chuck Hayes is not oppposed to the idea of a trade from the Kings and would welcome a deal if it's the right team and situation, according to Chris Haynes.
The Kings still owe over $11 million to Hayes over the next two years and they've reported been attempting to clear cap space. Hayes is an eight-year vet in the NBA and played just 16.3 minutes per game with Sacramento last season. He'll likely be a backup on almost any NBA team.

Wed Nov 14 201200:35Chuck Hayes plays well in start
Chuck Hayes started for DeMarcus Cousins (suspended) on Tuesday and had six points, eight rebounds and six assists on 3-of-7 shooting in Tuesday's ugly loss.
He played fairly well, but Cousins is due back for their next game, meaning Hayes should be left on the waiver wire.

Tue Nov 13 201222:02Chuck Hayes gets the start at C on Tuesday
Chuck Hayes will start at center against the Blazers on Blazers on Tuesday.
Travis Outlaw started at power forward on Sunday, but putting the Chuck Wagon with the starting unit seems to make more sense. Jason Thompson figures to do most of the heavy lifting and is coming off a double-double. DeMarcus Cousins will be back for Sacramento's next game on Friday.

Tue Nov 6 201205:15Hayes scores four points with six boards
Chuck Hayes scored four points with six rebounds and an assist in 24 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Hayes has been cited for his good defense this season, but he is nowhere near his form from his days in Houston. Regardless, his numbers will come and go within the flow of Keith Smart's random rotations.

Sat Nov 3 201222:32Chuck Hayes solid in 34 minutes for Kings
Chuck Hayes logged 34 minutes in Saturday's double-overtime loss, finishing with four points, six rebounds, four assists and three blocks.
Hayes gives Sacramento a solid defensive presence in the post, and he's worth watching in case this becomes a trend. The Kings have held their opponents to 92 points (in regulation) over their first three games, and Keith Smart said he's pleased with their defense, despite the fact that they've started the season 0-3. Go figure.

Sat Nov 3 201205:33Hayes grabs 11 rebounds with three points
Chuck Hayes grabbed 11 rebounds off the bench on Friday, and also chipped in with three points, two assists, and a block in 20 minutes.
Hayes is not worth an add in a majority of formats, but we thought it was interesting how much the team uses him to initiate the offense. It's probably not good for the Kings long-term, but if that was ever extrapolated into a full-time role we could be looking at the Hayes from his final year in Houston.

Mon Apr 9 201200:05Chuck Hayes scores three in return
Chuck Hayes returned from food poisoning on Sunday and had three points and five rebounds in a bad loss to Houston.
As long as DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson, who both struggled tonight, are healthy, Hayes has no fantasy value.

Sun Apr 8 201220:03Chuck Hayes set to return for Kings
Chuck Hayes is expected to play on Sunday after missing Saturday's game with food poisoning.
Jason Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins have done a good job of limiting Hayes, who doesn't offer much fantasy value as long as they're healthy.

Thu Mar 8 201202:37Chuck Hayes quiet in start for Cousins
Chuck Hayes started in place of DeMarcus Cousins (food poisoning) on Wednesday, but had just four points and five rebounds on 2-of-5 shooting in 27 minutes.
Cousins should be back for the next one, so we don't see a reason to own Hayes at this point.

Wed Mar 7 201206:59Chuck Hayes still less than 100 percent
Chuck Hayes admitted that he's "about 80 percent of where I want to be."
Hayes dealt with a heart scare before the season and has since missed time with a dislocated shoulder. "I'm learning. I'm learning this season out," he said. He also admitted that he's not fully comfortable wearing a shoulder harness during games, and he hasn't had the role many expected him to for the Kings. He's averaging 3.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in just under 20 minutes per game.

Fri Feb 17 201207:17Chuck Hayes not satisfied with Kings defense
Chuck Hayes acknowledged the Kings defensive problems, saying "we just don't talk."
Hayes added, "if you wire everybody up (during a game), I bet it would be silent." The Kings are struggling defensively, and the team ranks last in shooting in the NBA. Rookie Isaiah Thomas added "we're not a good-communicating team, but we're getting better." Acknowledging the problem is one thing, but executing the plan successfully is entirely different.

Sun Feb 5 201201:25Chuck Hayes hurts shoulder again in Kings win
Chuck Hayes appeared to aggravate his shoulder injury again on Saturday, playing just 12 minutes and finishing with two points and two rebounds.
Hayes also tweaked his shoulder a week ago and it could be a problem all season. And with Jason Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins hot for the Kings, dumping Hayes for a guy like Bismack Biyombo, Reggie Williams, Nicolas Batum, or even Jeremy Lin, makes sense.

Fri Feb 3 201202:04Hayes plays 29 minutes off the bench
Chuck Hayes played 29 minutes off the bench on Thursday, scoring three points on 1-of-2 shooting with five rebounds, two steals, and one block.
We're not convinced that he can withstand the beating he's about to take on his shoulder, but the Kings won tonight and it was no coincidence that Hayes was on the floor. We need to see him stay healthy and produce a bit more, but the fantasy friendly game peeked its head through the window tonight.

Wed Feb 1 201201:36Chuck Hayes returns from shoulder injury
Chuck Hayes returned from an aggravation of his shoulder injury, but had just two points and one rebound in 13 minutes on Tuesday.
He's going to be worked back slowly after re-injuring the shoulder on Saturday, but will eventually split minutes with Jason Thompson, limiting both of their values.

Tue Jan 31 201214:57Hayes said shoulder popped back out
Chuck Hayes admitted his shoulder momentarily "popped out" again late in Saturday night's loss to the Jazz.
Hayes plans on playing through the injury with a protective brace. "I'm going to play," he said. "It's more like a repeated ankle sprain. Once the dislocation happens, it's done." We can't project more than 20-25 minutes for Hayes as he shares time with Jason Thompson and J.J. Hickson.
