Hinrich (toe) made his preseason debut Thursday against the Nuggets, contributing three assists and three rebounds but no points.
Hinrich's toe injury was always viewed as minor, so it wasn't a surprise that he was back on the court in short order. The veteran guard is slated to see reserve minutes behind Derrick Rose this season.

Hinrich has exercised his $2.8 million player option to remain with the Bulls next season, RealGM.com reports.
Hinrich will see out the two-year deal he signed with the Bulls last summer, but is coming off career-lows in points (5.7), rebounds (1.8) and assists (2.2) per game. Clearly toward the latter stage in his career, Hinrich offers veteran depth for Chicago, but his days of being a real impact player in fantasy circles appear to have passed.

Hinrich played in 66 games for the Bulls this season and averaged 5.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.9 three-pointers a game.
This was the worst season of Hinrich's career as he set career-lows in points, rebounds and assists. He shot only 37.3 percent from the field and 70.0 percent from the charity stripe. Hinrich heads into the summer with a $2.87 million player option and it's unlikely he can get more than that if he goes out on the open market, so it wouldn't be surprising if he exercises that option. While he is a solid defender and a veteran presence off the bench, he won't carry much fantasy value again next season.

Hinrich (knee) came off the bench for six minutes in Thursday's Game 3 against the Bucks. He finished with one missed shot and a steal in his box score.
Game 3 went into double overtime so obviously the Bulls were are bit reserved with Hinrich's playing time since he has previously been off the court for the past six games. He's in line to play in Game 4 on Saturday but his workload will likely resemble Game 3 as he he continues to recover from a hyperextended left knee.

Hinrich was absent from the Bulls' last four games due to a hyperextended left knee. However, after coming out of morning shootaround and pregame warmups unscathed, he'll seemingly act as the fifth guard, which could place a damper on his eventual workload.
Thu Apr 23 201510:42Hinrich (knee) through shootaround
Hinrich (knee) went through shootaround, and coach Tom Thibodeau said he will play if he goes through pregame warmups without issue, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
It looks as though Hinrich will be able to see his first action of the series in Thursday's Game 3 after the injury caused him to miss Games 1 and 2. Assuming he plays, he'll likely cut into Aaron Brooks' minutes as the backup to Derrick Rose.

Hinrich's (knee) status for Monday's Game 2 against the Bucks remains uncertain, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hinrich missed Game 1 on Saturday as he continues to deal with the aftermath of a hyper-extended left knee. Interestingly enough, Hinrich's minutes were absorbed by Derrick Rose in Game 1 and that could certainly happen yet again Monday if Hinrich is ultimately ruled out.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said Hinrich has plateaued in his rehab efforts and that the team is trying to find a way to get him better. Hinrich is questionable for Game 2 and his absence will result in more minutes for Derrick Rose and Aaron Brooks and it will also allow for Tony Snell to be a part of the playoff rotation.

Hinrich (knee) did not practice Friday, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
Hinrich has been battling swelling in his knee, and coach Tom Thibodeau said he's unsure whether the veteran will be ready to go Saturday evening against Milwaukee. If Hinrich is held out, Aaron Brooks will likely pick up some extra minutes.
Fri Apr 17 201509:12Kirk Hinrich: (Knee) Intends To Play Saturday
Hinrich (knee) is expected to play in Saturday's opener against the Bucks, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hinrich suffered a hyperextended left knee a week ago and was forced off the court for the final two games of the season as a result. Obviously there's concern moving forward since this is a fresh injury that he's yet to have played on, but his week of rest ahead of Saturday's playoff opener certainly was the best possible remedy. The 34-year-old averaged 24.4 minutes over 66 games this regular season and it would be reasonable to assume that he could see around that same total against the Bucks.
Tue Apr 14 201516:45Hinrich (knee) will not play Wednesday against Hawks
Hinrich (knee) will not play Wednesday against the Hawks, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hinrich will miss a second straight game due to a hyperextended left knee. The Bulls are likely being extra cautious with the veteran as the playoffs near.
Mon Apr 13 201511:18Hinrich (knee) won't play Monday against Nets
Hinrich (knee) won't play Monday against the Nets, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hinrich hyperextended his left knee Saturday against the 76ers, and with little left to play for before the playoffs, the Bulls will err on the side of caution. It wouldn't be surprising if he sits Wednesday's game as well, but his status for that contest should be updated at some point prior to the opening tip-off.

Hinrich suffered a hyperextended left knee in Saturday's game and will not return, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey reports.
With just two games remaining in the regular season, Hinrich can be dropped in most single-season formats, as the Bulls will just be hopeful to get him back at some point in the playoffs.
