The Marlins are pursuing free agent reliever Randy Choate, according to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
Choate declined Tampa Bay's offer of arbitration in November and is a Type B free agent. The 35-year-old southpaw registered a 4.23 ERA and 40/17 K/BB ratio in 2010.

The Rays have offered arbitration to reliever Randy Choate.
Choate, 35, had a 4.23 ERA and 1.30 in 2010 with a 40/17 K/BB ratio over 44 2/3 frames. He is a Type B free agent and will net the Rays a supplemental round draft pick if he signs with a different club.
