Sat Aug 6 201123:52Trayvon Robinson launches first career homer
Trayvon Robinson launched his first career homer in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Angels.
Robinson was acquired from the Dodgers last month in a three-team trade involving the Red Sox and Mariners. He posted gaudy numbers at the Triple-A level and is off to an impressive start through two big league games. The 23-year-old outfielder has serious long-term fantasy value.

Fri Aug 5 201120:27Robinson batting ninth in MLB debut
Trayvon Robinson will start in left field and bat ninth in his major-league debut against the Angels on Friday.
Jered Weaver will be taking the hill for the Halos, so Robinson could be in line for a debut to forget. Bafflingly never called up by the Dodgers this summer before being traded, Robinson posted a .289/.374/.552 triple slash to go along with 26 home runs in 428 Triple-A plate appearances. He did strike out 126 times, however, and it would be far from surprising if he struggles during his first major league cup of coffee.

Fri Aug 5 201117:18Mariners call up OF Trayvon Robinson
Mariners recalled OF Trayvon Robinson from Triple-A Tacoma.
As expected. Robinson, 23, was acquired by the Mariners on Sunday as part of the three-way Erik Bedard trade with the Dodgers and Red Sox. The highly-touted outfielder was batting .289/.374/.552 with 26 home runs and nine stolen bases at the Triple-A level this season, but also struck out 122 times in 146 plate appearances. He is worth adding in AL-only leagues, but his inability to make consistent contact could be an issue in his first taste of the big leagues.

Thu Aug 4 201115:17M's likely to call up Trayvon Robinson
Ryan Divish of the Tacoma News Tribune is "pretty certain" that the Mariners will call up prospect outfielder Trayvon Robinson to replace Greg Halman on the active roster.
Robinson was just acquired Sunday in the three-way Erik Bedard trade with the Red Sox and Dodgers. The 23-year-old outfielder is batting .289/.374/.552 with 26 home runs at the Triple-A level this season, though he has also struck out 122 times in 416 plate appearances. He could struggle in his first taste of the big leagues and Safeco could hurt him offensively, but he's worth adding in AL-only leagues if he gets the call. For what it's worth, Greg Johns of MLB.com speculates that Wily Mo Pena will be the move. The Mariners will make an official announcement Friday.

Sun Jul 31 201116:55M's get Robinson, Chiang in three-team deal
Mariners acquired OF Trayvon Robinson from the Dodgers and OF Chih-Hsien Chiang from the Red Sox in Sunday's seven-player, three-team Erik Bedard trade.
Robinson, 23, has hit .293/.375/.563 with 26 home runs, 71 RBI and eight stolen bases in 100 games this season at the Triple-A level. If he continues to develop as expected, the Los Angeles native could become a star outfielder for the M's.
