Eugenio Velez was struck in the head by an Ian Kennedy pitch on Saturday and had to be lifted from the ball game. | ||||||
It looked bad. Velez laid on the ground for over a minute and the Chase Field crowd was dead silent. He almost certainly suffered a concussion and will need at least two weeks on the disabled list for recovery. | ||||||
