Wed Jul 30 201411:59Market for Josh Willingham is soft
ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Twins "really want to move" Josh Willingham, but a competing executive said he doesn't think "they're getting any bites."
The Mariners and Yankees have both been connected to Willingham, but it appears their interest might not be very strong. Willingham has 10 homers in 57 games this season but is batting just .219/.361/.421 overall. He's a free agent after the season, so the Twins would love to get something for him now while they can.

Tue Jul 29 201422:48Mariners talking to Twins about Willingham
FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Mariners are talking to the Twins about Josh Willingham.
It's not surprising, as the M's have been searching for a right-handed bat and Willingham is one of the better ones available. At this point, it's not clear how far along the talks are between the two clubs. Willingham entered play Tuesday batting just .219/.361/.421, but he's slugged 10 homers over 57 games.

Sun Jul 27 201411:14Yankees interested in Josh Willingham
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Yankees are showing interest in Josh Willingham.
They're also considering Marlon Byrd and Alex Rios, but Willingham appears to be at the top of their list in part because he's a free agent after this season. Willingham is batting .215 10 homers in only 56 games this season, as he missed 41 contests with a fractured wrist. The 35-year-old has played in pitchers parks his entire career, so a move to Yankee Stadium would be a nice boost to his fantasy value.

Thu May 29 201417:05Josh Willingham homers against Rangers
Josh Willingham had a two-run homer, an RBI single and two walks Thursday versus the Rangers.
Willingham, who came off the DL on Monday, entered with one RBI in nine games this season. He's going to get as much playing as he can handle between left field and DH, which should leave less for Jason Kubel to do. It's possible he'll get hurt again, but the time DHing makes him a better bet to stay healthy than he was last year.
