OF Jeff Francoeur, who came into the Dodgers series 1-for-12, had singles in his first two at-bats against LHP Clayton Kershaw in his second straight two-hit game. He also threw out Kershaw at the plate, giving him 127 outfield assists for his career. That total is the most in the majors since he came up in 2005.

Francouer said there is a mutual interest in him returning to the Phillies next season, CSN Philadelphia reports.
Francoeur has revived his career this season with a strong showing as a part-time player. He has hit .257/.287/.427 with 12 home runs while also providing a young Phillies team with veteran leadership. The Phils will likely hire a new GM in the next month, so a final decision about Francoeur and any potential return will have to wait until that process is complete.
Fri Sep 18 201516:03Francoeur not in lineup Friday against Braves
Francoeur is not in the lineup Friday against the Braves.
Francoeur has been losing playing time down the stretch, and following Wednesday's 0-for-4 with three strikeouts performance, he'll take a seat again Friday. Aaron Altherr will slide over to left field, with Brian Bogusevic drawing the start in right field.
Sun Sep 13 201512:44Francouer out of lineup Sunday against Cubs
Francouer is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs, Stephen Gross of The Morning Call reports.
Francoeur had started the last three games in left field, going 3-for-12 with four strikeouts. A known commodity at this point in his career, Francoeur could end up losing out on at-bats in the final few weeks if the Phillies decide to audition some of their younger players in the corner outfield.
Tue Aug 25 201505:55Francoeur claimed on waivers and pulled back by Phillies
Francoeur was claimed on waivers and pulled back by the Phillies, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports.
The move means Francoeur cannot be traded this month. He will continue to see part-time work in right field for the remainder of the season, though his workload could be cut a bit if the Phillies give Aaron Altherr some time in right. Frenchy has hit .269/.296/.470 with 12 home runs in 253 at-bats this season.

Francoeur homered for the second straight game Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
Frenchy's enormous second half continues -- in 20 games since the All-Star break now, he's hit six homers to go with a .393 batting average. That's gettin' it done. Francoeur does, however, own distinct home-road splits -- he's hitting .315/.327/.583 at Citizens Bank Park and just .248/.287/.395 while away. The Phillies head to Miami for four starting Thursday, so Francoeur might not be the best bet to continue his hot hitting.
Tue Aug 18 201523:18Francoeur 2-3 with solo homer Tuesday against Toronto
Francoeur went 2-for-3 with a solo homer Tuesday against Toronto.
Francoeur tied the game at one with his bomb off of knuckleballer R.A. Dickey. He's having an excellent August, as he's now hitting .344 with a pair of homers.

Francoeur went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in the Phillies' win over the Cubs on Friday afternoon.
The blast came against Rafael Soriano in the top of the 10th inning, putting the Phillies ahead for good in the process. Francoeur is hitting .265/.289/.469 this season, with nine homers and 33 RBI while getting a steady amount of run in the heart of the Philadelphia order.

Francoeur smacked a pinch-hit three-run home run to propel the Phillies to a 6-3 win over Miami on Friday night.
The veteran now has seven home runs and 29 RBI to go with a modest .249 average, but his at bats come almost exclusively against left-handed pitchers at this stage of his career, which significantly cuts into his fantasy value.

Francoeur went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in the Phillies' win over the Dodgers on Tuesday night.
Since mid-June, all but one of his six starts have come against left-handed starting pitcher. Given that the Phillies are rebuilding at the present time, the desire to get Francoeur involved on a more regular basis is limited, which will likely continue to hold him to the small side of a platoon with Domonic Brown.

Interim manager Pete Mackanin said Francoeur's playing time will continue to be limited as the Phillies look to get their younger guys more playing time, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Francoeur got just his third start in the last 17 games on Saturday. He went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Francoeur went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Nationals.
Francoeur has seen his playing time dip recently, with Sunday's start marking just his second in the span of seven games. He was right back on the bench for Game 2 in favor of Domonic Brown, who should be viewed as the primary option in right field for Philadelphia.
Sun Jun 7 201512:09Francoeur not in lineup Sunday against Giants
Francoeur is not in the lineup Sunday against the Giants, Ryan Miller of NJ.com reports.
Francoeur has made four straight starts in right field, but will sit Sunday afternoon, as manager Ryne Sandberg will use an outfield composed of Cody Asche, Odubel Herrera and Ben Revere. The 31-year-old took Madison Bumgarner deep for a grand slam in Saturday's contest, so he'll get a well-deserved day off.

Francoeur went 2-for-4 Saturday with his fourth home run of the season, a grand slam off Madison Bumgarner.
His .252/.282/.415 slash line in 123 at-bats may not seem like much, but it's actually Francoeur's best major league performance since 2011. With Domonic Brown apparently not close to being called back up, the veteran outfielder should continue to see at least semi-regular playing time.
Sat Jun 6 201506:42Francoeur 0-4 in Friday's loss to Giants
Francoeur went 0-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Giants.
Francoeur started three straight games in right field and went 3-for-13. He has been splitting time with Ben Revere since the Phillies released Grady Sizemore. That arrangement should continue in the short term, but the Phillies are likely to bring back Domonic Brown at some point to give him regular playing time in right which could cut into Francoeur's at-bats over the rest of the season.
Wed May 6 201516:04Francoeur out of lineup Wednesday
Francoeur is out of the lineup Wednesday, CSN Philadelphia's Jim Salisbury reports.
It will actually be Ben Revere starting in right field Wednesday, which is not a common occurrence. After a stretch where Francoeur was in the lineup almost every day, he seems to have finally fallen out of favor, becoming a part-time player for the Phillies.

Francoeur went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI while falling a home run short of the cycle in Monday's win over Atlanta.
Both of the RBI came in a two-out situation Monday. Francoeur's grip on a share of the right field job could begin to slip if Domonic Brown can string together a nice run at the plate with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Until then, Francoeur and Grady Sizemore will continue to split time in that spot.
Wed Apr 29 201505:53Francoeur will continue to split time with Grady Sizemore in rig...
Francoeur will continue to split time with Grady Sizemore in right field until Domonic Brown earns a promotion back to the majors.
Brown was activated off the disabled list Tuesday, but was optioned to Triple-A. He is likely to get another shot at the starting right field job this season, but he will need to start hitting in the minors first. Neither Francoeur or Sizemore have done much with their opportunities thus far. Francoeur is hitting .193/.258/.351 with two home runs in 57 at-bats.
Sun Apr 26 201519:17Francoeur hit fourth in order for ninth straight start on Sunday...
Francoeur hit fourth in the order for the ninth straight start on Sunday, going 0-for-3 with a walk against the Braves.
On another ball-club Francoeur would benefit from batting cleanup, but due to his own personal struggles and a lack of firepower in front of him, he has failed to drive in any runs since his move to the four-spot. Francoeur is now hitting just .216 on the season and will likely see his playing time diminish once Dominic Brown returns next week.
Thu Apr 9 201514:16Francoeur will get another start in right field Thursday
Francoeur will get another start in right field Thursday, the Philadelphia Daily News' Ryan Lawrence reports.
He hit a homer Wednesday and looks to have taken pole position in the right field pecking order until Domonic Brown returns in a week or so.
