Young's signing became official Friday after he passed his physical, MASN Sports reports.
Another outfield signing could be pending as the Orioles continue to court Colby Rasmus, but as of now Young is set to be a heavy contributor in 2015. In 2014, Young was .312/.357/.452 against left-handers, but he dipped to .282/.299/.424 against right-handers.

Young will take his physical next Wednesday before making his new deal with the Orioles official, MASN Sports reports.
Young's role remains to be determined as the Orioles continue to look for outfield help. At worst, he should platoon to hit left-handers as he did in 2014 when he slashed .302/.337/.442. At best, Young could fill a full time role in left field.
Wed Dec 24 201412:09Delmon Young: Agrees To One-Year Deal With Orioles
Young agreed to a one-year deal with the Orioles on Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Young had a decent season offensively in 2014, batting .302/.337/.442 with seven home runs and 30 RBI. He doesn't appear to be an everyday player anymore, but will likely see time both at designated hitter and in left field for the Orioles in 2015.
Wed Sep 24 201412:30Delmon Young Not In The Lineup
Young is out of the lineup Wednesday against against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Young will sit Wednesday for the third straight game in a row, with Nelson Cruz serving as the designated hitter and David Lough as the left fielder. Young is hitting .321 over 28 at-bats in September. The Orioles have already clinched their playoff spot, so the team may just be resting a few of their starters at this point.
Mon Sep 22 201416:01Young not in lineup Monday against Yankees
Young is not in the lineup Monday against the Yankees, CSN's Rich Dubroff reports.
Young started the last two games for the playoff-bound Orioles but will return to the bench, as Alejandro De Aza and Nelson Cruz serve as the left fielder and designated hitter, respectively. Young is hitting .321 with a triple and three RBI in 28 at-bats this month.
Fri Sep 5 201416:28Young out of lineup Friday against Rays
Young is out of the lineup Friday against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
Young will sit Friday for a fourth straight day, with David Lough in left and Nelson Cruz serving as the designated hitter in the opener against Tampa Bay. There has been no word of an injury to Young, but it's possible he's dealing with something and the team just hasn't disclosed it yet.
Wed Sep 3 201415:54Young out of lineup Wednesday against Twins
Young is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Twins, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
With manager Buck Showalter preferring to give Adam Jones a day out of the field, Young will be bumped out of DH duties. He'll sit for the third time in four days, and may have to settle for part-time duty the rest of the way following the recent acquisitions of Kelly Johnson and Alejandro De Aza, who both figure to see semi-frequent at-bats themselves.
Sun Aug 31 201412:12Young out of lineup Sunday against Orioles
Young is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Young's path to regular playing time at DH and in the corner outfield became a little murkier Saturday with the acquisitions of Alejandro De Aza and Kelly Johnson, but neither player will take Young's spot in the lineup Sunday. Instead, Young will receive a routine day off, with David Lough joining the starting lineup in his stead. Because of Young's excellent offensive production this season, he still likely represents a better alternative than those other players, but if he were to start slumping, his at-bats could dry up quickly.
Thu Aug 28 201415:15Young out of lineup Thursday against Rays
Young is out of the lineup Thursday against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
Steve Clevenger will serve as the designated hitter in the series finale against Tampa Bay, as Young sits after three straight starts. It makes sense, given Young's 2-for-10 career mark against Thursday's starter Jeremy Hellickson, but Young figures to continue seeing at least semi-regular playing time.

Young went 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, one run scored, one double and one walk Monday against the Rays.
Young has seen more playing time in August, but it hasn't resulted in increased production as he has seen his batting average decrease from .328 to .311. He has not hit over .300 since 2006 as a member of the Rays, so he may be starting to come back down to earth.
Sun Aug 24 201412:21Young not in lineup Sunday against Cubs
Young is not in the lineup Sunday against the Cubs, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The lack of an available DH spot for the Orioles' three-game series at Wrigley Field will keep him out of the lineup yet again. Look for him to see more regular at-bats when the Orioles resume American League play Monday against the Rays.
Sat Aug 23 201413:34Young out of lineup again Saturday
Young is out of the lineup again Saturday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
Young will sit again for the second game of the series at Wrigley Field, but manager Buck Showalter figures to find a way to work him in Sunday against lefty Tsuyoshi Wada. While Young has posted just a .682 OPS against southpaws this season, he's a .301/.338/.467 career hitter against lefties.
Fri Aug 22 201411:45Young out of lineup Friday against Cubs
Young is out of the lineup Friday against the Cubs, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
The Orioles are playing in a National League park, so Young -- who typically serves as the DH -- is in line to receive at least Friday off. He could return to the lineup in left field at some point, but Nelson Cruz will occupy that position for the afternoon tilt. The Orioles are scheduled to face lefty Tsuyoshi Wada on Sunday, so look for Young to be back in the lineup then.
Sun Aug 17 201411:04Young in fact back in lineup Sunday
Young is in fact back in the lineup Sunday, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
It appears the initial card tweeted out by the beat reporters was old, and Young is in fact back in the lineup Sunday against the Indians, playing left field and batting fifth.

Sat Aug 16 201416:06Young isn't in lineup Saturday in Cleveland
Young isn't in the lineup Saturday in Cleveland, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
Young will sit for the first time since Aug. 8, a span in which he mustered a .190 average (4-for-21), one homer, three RBI, and three runs. In his place, Nelson Cruz will take on DH duties, while David Lough covers left field.
Wed Aug 6 201416:14Young isn't in lineup Wednesday in Toronto
Young isn't in the lineup Wednesday in Toronto, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
The Blue Jays are trotting out a right-hander in Drew Hutchison, which is generally cause for Young to hit the pine, even after notching hits in back-to-back games. In his place, Nelson Cruz will handle DH duties, while David Lough mans left field.

Young was the cleanup hitter Tuesday when he went 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI against the Blue Jays.
Young entered the game with good career numbers against Blue Jays starter Mark Buehrle. In addition, the Orioles dropped the slumping Chris Davis to seventh in the order. This could mean that when Young is in the lineup he will hit fourth or fifth, depending on where Nelson Cruz is slotted. On another note, Young had just one walk since May 27 and he now has a total of six walks on the season. While he will probably never develop plate discipline, Young clearly seems to have control of the plate against Buehrle.
Mon Aug 4 201416:00Young out of lineup Monday at Washington
Young is out of the lineup Monday at Washington, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
Prior to the absence, Young started four games in a row, two apiece in left field and at designated hitter. However, he only mustered one hit and one run in 11 at-bats, bringing down his season line to .315/.342/.455. With no DH in a National League park Monday, he'll likely be confined to a pinch appearance, if his services are required.

The O's have gotten better-than-expected mileage out of Young this season. Even with Sunday's poor game, he's hitting .315/.342/.455 on the season.
