Sat Apr 11 201515:14Lough joined Orioles prior to Saturday's game
Lough joined the Orioles prior to Saturday's game, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports.
The original plan was for Lough to go on a rehab assignment in the minors Saturday, but there's a chance he could be activated from the DL Saturday night. Either way, he's not in the O's lineup Saturday, so any potential fantasy value he could provide will have to wait until Sunday, at the earliest.
Fri Apr 10 201511:48Lough (hamstring) will likely begin rehab assignment Saturday
Lough (hamstring) will likely begin a rehab assignment Saturday, but there's also a chance he could join the Orioles, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Lough will play in another intrasquad game Friday, and it appears he'll be ready a bit sooner than expected. Once he joins the Orioles, Lough figures to see semi-regular playing time against right-handed pitching, but his starts against southpaws will likely be few and far between. Last season, 154 of his 174 at-bats came against right-handers.

Lough played four-to-five innings and got four at-bats in an intrasquad game Wednesday and could go on a rehab assignment as early as next week, the Baltimore Sun's Dan Connolly reports.
It is starting to look like next weekend would be the earliest we could see Lough rejoin the O's. He hopes to play nine innings in an intrasquad game Thursday as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Tue Apr 7 201518:13Lough (hamstring) had setback in recovery
Lough (hamstring) had a setback in his recovery, the Baltimore Sun's Dan Connolly reports.
He did not participate in Tuesday's intrasquad game as expected, and manager Buck Showalter said Lough's hamstring is still giving him trouble. It was previously reported that Lough would come off the DL when first eligible Saturday, but Showalter said that is now difficult to envision.

Lough (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list when first eligible Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Lough had been dealing with some minor back and hamstring issues, but neither was expected to force a prolonged absence. Lough appeared in 112 games for the Orioles last season, and should see plenty of at-bats against right-handed pitching upon his return.
Tue Mar 31 201511:02Lough will open season on disabled list due to hamstring injury
Lough will open his season on the disabled list due to a hamstring injury, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Lough has been dealing with back and hamstring injuries, but he said Tuesday that his back is no longer an issue. The same apparently can't be said for his hammy, so he'll need a DL stint to start the season. Travis Snider, Steve Pearce, Delmon Young and Jimmy Paredes are all candidates to pick up a few extra at-bats in Lough's absence.

Lough could begin the season on the disabled list due to hamstring and back issues, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports.
If Lough is unavailable to begin the season, Alejandro De Aza or Everth Cabrera would likely slot in as the backup center fielder behind Adam Jones. Lough remains a question mark in terms of the 25-man roster when he returns from his injury, but the issue doesn't do him any favors in that regard.

Lough (back) should return to the lineup for the Orioles' split squad spring training games Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Lough has been suffering from back spasms this week, but it appears he is returning to full health. He's scheduled to return Sunday, barring a setback, but back issues have a tendency to flare up throughout the season, and with no guaranteed spot with the club, his value is seemingly low at this point.
Wed Mar 25 201510:12Lough (back) expected to be back on field within few days
Lough (back) is expected to be back on the field within a few days, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Lough was scratched from Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates after his back tightened up when he picked up a ball in the batting cage. It doesn't sound like the outfielder nor the Orioles are too worried about the injury, but it certainly won't help his cause in the competition for a reserve role. Along with Lough, Delmon Young, Jimmy Paredes, Steve Pearce, Chris Parmelee, and Nolan Reimold are among the names battling for backup gigs in the outfield.
Tue Mar 24 201513:01Lough scratched from Tuesday's game with back spasms
Lough was scratched from Tuesday's game with back spasms, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
He was hitting off a tee and bent over to pick up a ball and his back tightened. Consider him day-to-day for now. He will need to get back in action soon if he wants to secure the final roster spot that is up for grabs in O's camp.

Lough was scratched from Tuesday's Grapefruit League lineup with an undisclosed injury, MASN Sports reports.
Lough appears to have missed some time earlier in camp with a hamstring ailment, but there is no word on whether this injury is for the same thing. Lough is in a battle for the last roster spot, but he has gone just 5-for-27 this spring and he may get squeezed out of his backup outfielder role that he carried last year.

Lough is healthy in spring training camp after suffering from concussion symptoms during the 2014 season, Britt Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
Lough tore it up in spring training games last year, then suffered a concussion early in April. He never hit the disabled list and it was thought that purely due to on-the-field struggles Lough was relegated to a bench role while Delmon Young and Steve Pearce absorbed his playing time. There was no indication on the news wires that the concussion symptoms had lingered. Instead, he was used mostly as a late game defensive player, gathering 174 at-bats in 112 games. Lough is the favorite to win the last outfield spot, but the Orioles appear to have a stronger commitment to left-handed hitting Alejandro De Aza.
Sun Aug 31 201411:58Lough in Sunday's lineup against Twins
Lough is in Sunday's lineup against the Twins, but his playing time may become even more limited down the stretch, MASN Sports reports.
Lough's starts are already rare this season and Baltimore acquired Alejandro De Aza Saturday from the White Sox. De Aza may surpass Lough on the depth chart given Lough has hit an unimpressive .213/.284/.319 in his limited time this season.
Mon Aug 4 201402:25Lough 1-3 in rare start Sunday against Mariners
Lough went 1-for-3 in a rare start Sunday against the Mariners. He also was caught stealing in one attempt.
Lough got a start because the Orioles stacked the lineup with lefthanders against Hisashi Iwakuma, and because the slumping Nelson Cruz got a day off. Lough is hitting a paltry .209/.282/.318 on the season.
Fri Apr 25 201422:42David Lough's struggles continue in loss
David Lough's struggles continued in Friday's loss to the Royals, going 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts.
The Orioles had high hopes for the 28-year-old outfielder, but he has hit just .180/.241/.260 with a 10/3 K/BB ratio in his first 16 games. He's difficult to use even in AL-only leagues at this point.

Thu Apr 24 201422:05Lough's big game aids Orioles' 11-run barrage
David Lough collected three hits in four at-bats, walked, and stole two bases as the Orioles topped the Blue Jays on Thursday.
Lough hadn't done much anything at the dish, but was a big factor in the Orioles' 11-run outburst against the Blue Jays. Acquired in the off-season in a trade with the Royals, Lough also crossed home plate three times and stole his third and fourth bases on the season.

Sat Apr 12 201423:12Lough hits walkoff RBI single to beat Jays
David Lough clubbed a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 12th inning Saturday as the Orioles bested the Blue Jays by a score of 2-1.
Lough finished the evening 2-for-5 with one run scored. He is known more for his defense than his offense and is sporting a rough .481 OPS in seven games played.

Sat Apr 12 201408:38David Lough (concussion) available to play
Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Friday that while David Lough was held out of the lineup, he is available to play.
The O's are simply playing things cautiously with Lough, and even though he passed all of the concussion tests, they're giving him an extra day or two to recover. There's a good chance he returns to the top of the Orioles lineup at some point over the weekend.

Wed Apr 9 201418:08David Lough will not be placed on 15-day DL
David Lough will not be placed on the disabled list.
The Orioles were worried that Lough had suffered a concussion, but he passed all of the necessary tests on Wednesday and will remain on Baltimore's active roster.

Tue Apr 8 201418:25David Lough headed to the disabled list
Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that David Lough will be placed on the disabled list prior to Wednesday's game.
Kubatko isn't sure what injury Lough is dealing with, but he didn't play Tuesday and the word is that he's DL-bound. Lough did battle a neck ailment late in spring training, so perhaps it's a recurrence of that issue. Jemile Weeks will take Lough's spot on the roster.
