Marlins placed INF Ed Lucas on the 15-day disabled list with a broken left hand.

Lucas sustained the injury on Thursday after being hit by a pitch during Grapefruit League play. He had made the Marlins Opening Day roster and was expected to function in a utility role before the injury.
