Tigers right-handed relief prospect Zach Simons has been named to the Eastern League All-Star Team. | ||||||
Simons was selected in the second round of the 2005 draft and has taken a while to develop as a reliever. The 25-year-old has a 2.49 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 43-plus innings at Double-A Erie this season and has allowed just one earned run in his last 31 innings of work. | ||||||
