Gosder Cherilus has held off Jon Jansen and is expected to be the Lions' starting right tackle, at least to open the year. | ||||||
Cherilus played "much better" in Detroit's third preseason game, and certainly offers a higher upside than Jansen. Jansen will be kept on the roster to guard against Cherilus' history of inconsistencies, but the better, younger talent winning is good news for a Lions offense from which we expect big things. | ||||||
