Fri Sep 25 201517:48Marshawn Lynch: (Calf) Questionable For Sunday
Lynch (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Lynch missed practice Wednesday and Friday, but he did manage limited participation Thursday. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said his star running back will be a game-time decision, with Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls set to man the backfield in the event of a Lynch absence. There's also some chance Lynch will have a limited workload if he plays, especially with the Seahawks a heavy favorite to win Sunday's game. Despite being a regular on the injury report, Lynch hasn't missed a game since 2011.
Fri Sep 25 201517:21Marshawn Lynch: (Calf) Likely Game-Time Decision
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Lynch (calf) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Bears, John Boyle of the Everett Herald reports.
Lynch is regularly listed on the injury report with minor issues, and while he usually ends up with a probable designation, he'll likely be questionable this week. The Seahawks haven't released their Friday injury report, but Lynch's official status should be available soon. An absence would leave Seattle's backfield in the hands of Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls for a favorable matchup.
Thu Sep 24 201519:18Marshawn Lynch: (Calf) Upgraded To Limited Thursday
Lynch (calf) was limited in practice Thursday, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Lynch is trending in the right direction, as he followed no activity Wednesday with limited reps Thursday. Seemingly on pace for active status in Week 3, he's mustered a shade under 3.5 YPC this season and has yet to visit the end zone. However, he should turn it around Sunday against the Bears, who have surrendered 204 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground through two games.
Wed Sep 23 201521:42Marshawn Lynch: Misses Practice Wednesday
Lynch sat out Wednesday's practice with a calf issue, the Seattle Times reports.
It's not unusual for Lynch to sit things out on Wednesday with a non-injury designation, as he did last week, so it will be worth circling back on the running back's status on Thursday to confirm that that he returns to practice, in some capacity. Per the Times report, Lynch sat out one series in this past Sunday's loss to the Packers due to what coach Pete Carroll referred to a neck issue, but no mention was made at the time of a calf injury in play for the running back.
Wed Sep 23 201520:05Marshawn Lynch: (Calf) Limited Wednesday
Lynch (calf) was limited in practice Wednesday, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Lynch dealt with a calf concern for two weeks last season, yet he was able to take part in both outings. Ultimately, his practice participation as the week proceeds will shed light on his health, but he's been a veritable workhorse in Seattle, playing 76 of a possible 77 games.

Lynch gained 41 yards on 15 carries and 21 yards on three receptions (six targets) in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Packers.
Lynch dominated the snaps and touches, yet it was Fred Jackson who came away with a five-yard receiving touchdowns. The Seattle offensive line again struggled to open holes, and the Packers seemingly focused on stopping Lynch above all else, which left Russell Wilson with some nice running opportunities. Lynch should fare better in Week 3, with the Seahawks heading home to face a weak Chicago Bears defense.

Lynch gained 73 yards on 18 carries in Sunday's game against the Rams. He added five receptions for 31 yards in the 34-31 loss.
The Rams boast perhaps the best defensive front in the NFL, but Lynch was still able to rack up over 100 total yards despite receiving fewer than 20 carries. This game illustrates how Beast Mode's skills and usage afford him one of the highest production floors of any fantasy running back, and a game without a touchdown will likely be the exception this season rather than the rule. Expect Lynch to once again be a focal point of the Seattle offense in Week 2 as they travel to take on the Packers.
Sun Sep 13 201511:37Lynch (non-injury) active Sunday against Rams
Lynch (non-injury) is active Sunday against the Rams.
Lynch was limited in practice Wednesday, though that's been his schedule for the past few years. The Rams boast one of the better defensive lines in the NFL, and the Seahawks continue to develop without center Max Unger, who was sent to New Orleans in the Jimmy Graham trade, but Lynch should still get plenty of touches to churn out yards.

Lynch (non-injury) is listed as probable for Sunday's regular-season opener against the rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
Lynch is only on the injury report because he was limited at Wednesday's practice, which has been his norm over the past few seasons. He's healthy for a Week 1 matchup with the excellent St. Louis front seven.
Thu Sep 10 201519:24Lynch (non-injury) participated fully in practice Thursday
Lynch (non-injury) participated fully in practice Thursday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
After a limited showing Wednesday, Lynch was back in action one day later, forecasting active status Sunday in St. Louis. In two games against the Rams last season, he totaled 32 carries for 113 yards, five catches for 54 yards, and one rushing touchdown.
Wed Sep 9 201520:22Marshawn Lynch: (Non-Injury) Limited Wednesday
Lynch (non-injury) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Per usual, Lynch is logging his typical pseudo rest day to kick off the week of practice. Expect him to ditch the designation by week's end, with a potentially tough divisional matchup on tap Sunday at St. Louis.

Lynch gained six yards on two carries and three yards on one reception in Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers.
Lynch made his token preseason appearance, touching the ball on Seattle's first three offensive snaps, then cheering his teammates on for the rest of the night. The Seahawks' offensive line again looked shaky, but Lynch has pretty much everything else working in his favor. He'll sit out the final preseason game.
Sat Aug 15 201520:43Lynch did not play in Friday's preseason opener against Broncos
Lynch did not play in Friday's preseason opener against the Broncos.
Lynch will probably only play in one or two preseason games, as the Seahawks have long favored rest over reps for their superstar running back. Seattle again looks a bit shaky on the offensive line, but Lynch otherwise benefits from an excellent team context and obviously doesn't lack for skill.
Fri Mar 6 201520:26Lynch officially signed two-year
Lynch officially signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Seahawks on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Lynch's new contract will bump his pay of approximately $5 million for the 2015 season with his new contract, becoming one of the highest paid running backs in the league. It's hard to argue that shouldn't be the case, with Lynch coming off another spectacular season in which he accumulated 1,306 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground and 37 catches for 367 yards and four touchdowns receiving.
Fri Mar 6 201517:34Lynch has agreed to terms on new contract with Seahawks
Lynch has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Seahawks, ESPN.com reports.
Lynch's deal is reportedly for one year and worth $11 million, including a nine million dollar signing bonus. Although Lynch has not yet signed the contract, he is expected to do so upon meeting with Seahawks brass this weekend. Since being acquired by the Seahawks during the 2010 season, no player has ran for more than Lynch's 54 touchdowns.
Sun Feb 22 201512:59Lynch
Lynch, contrary to reports, has not agreed to a new contract with the Seahawks, his agent said late Saturday.
CBS' Jason La Canfora said to expect formalization of a two-year, $21 million deal in the coming days, but agent Doug Hendrickson denied it within minutes. Yahoo earlier reported the Seahawks have offered Lynch $11-12 million in 2015 and $9 million in 2016.

General manager John Schneider said Thursday it would not surprise him if Lynch retired, the Seattle Times reports.
"I've talked to his people a bunch, his representatives," Schneider said. "He knows we want him to play." Schneider said the Seahawks would like to know soon whether Lynch intends to play next season, but he did not give a deadline for a decision. Schneider said recently that Lynch would not play at his scheduled cap number ($8.5 million) next season, meaning the team will extend his contract, guaranteeing Lynch more money over the length of the deal and lowering the team's yearly cap hit.

Lynch, who has reportedly considered retiring, has not told the Seahawks if he intends to play in 2015, general manager John Schneider told ESPN 710 Seattle on Tuesday. "Whether or not he wants to play next year, I can't answer that," Schneider said. "I don't know if he knows at this juncture."
Schneider said the Seahawks intend to re-do Lynch's contract, which is scheduled to pay him $7 million next season, to reduce his $8.5 million cap number. The team likely will offer Lynch another $5 million or so for next season but prorate the total over a 2-3 year extension and thereby reduce his cap hit. That should give Lynch plenty of motivation to return, if he didn't have it already.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider acknowledged Tuesday that Lynch's contract will need to be addressed before the 2015 season, John Boyle of the Everett Herald reports.
Schneider hinted that Lynch may not even want to keep playing, but it may be that such a decision would depend largely on the running back's contract. Lynch is scheduled for a $5 million base salary in the final year of his deal, and there seems to be little question that he's unwilling to play for that number. The Seahawks will presumably offer a raise and/or extension, but there's no guarantee Lynch will be satisfied with the offer.

Lynch had 24 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown, adding one reception for 31 yards on two targets, in Sunday's 28-24 Super Bowl loss to the Patriots.
While he didn't have a carry longer than 15 yards, Lynch did pretty well for himself, given that the Patriots were primarily focused on stopping the run. Lynch also got open on a couple of wheel routes, with one falling incomplete due to a Russell Wilson misfire, while the other went for 31 yards on the first play of Seattle's final drive. That drive, which now ranks among the most memorable in NFL history, shockingly ended on an interception from the one-yard line when the Seahawks opted not to run the ball with Lynch or Wilson. The play call may have cost Lynch a Super Bowl MVP award, and he'll now be the subject of significant offseason discussion. There were rumors that the Seahawks might release Lynch before the final season of his contract, but it now seems that the team wants to sign him to a long-term extension, NFL.com reports. While it typically wouldn't be wise to give a long-term extension to a running back that will be 29 next season, Lynch might be the exception to the rule. He handled modest workloads through college and the first few years of his NFL career, and he hasn't yet shown any signs of slowing down.
