Bolden was on the field for 9-of-86 snaps on offense in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, ESPN.com reports.
Bolden wound up with two carries for eight yards in the game, along with one catch for four yards. Bolden is behind both Shane Vereen (61 snaps) and Stevan Ridley (22 snaps) in the Patriots' RB pecking order, and ahead of rookie James White (inactive Sunday) for the time being, which limits his fantasy value.
Sat Aug 30 201417:42Bolden has retained spot on Patriots' roster
Bolden has retained his spot on the Patriots' roster, csnne.com reports.
With Jonas Gray and Roy Finch having been cut Saturday, Bolden will stick around as a reserve back in a backfield that also rosters Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen and James White. Heading into the season, it's a scenario that puts Bolden a break or two away from fantasy lineup consideration.

Bolden (unspecified reason) did not suit up for Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants, ESPN.com reports.
Bolden's experience with the Patriots could help him make the final roster cut, but his absence Thursday affords Jonas Gray and Roy Finch one last last opportunity to make their cases for a spot in the New England backfield mix.

Bolden (unspecified reason) did not play Friday against the Panthers, the Boston Globe reports.
With Bolden not playing Friday, fellow RB Jonas Gray saw added action (nine carries for 20 yards) in the contest, with the duo competing with Roy Finch for depth slotting in the New England backfield as the preseason rolls along.

Bolden gained 21 yards on three carries in Friday's preseason game against the Eagles.
James White has received all the hype as the potential third piece in a three-headed backfield, but Bolden is still worth keeping an eye on. Not only is White a rookie, but the Patriots are notoriously unpredictable when it comes to running back usage, and coach Bill Belichick doesn't seem to fully trust Stevan Ridley, who had fumbling problems last season. While he probably won't do much unless there's an injury or two in front of him, Bolden can't be entirely counted out. On the other hand, he's likely on the roster bubble, and may not even be with the Patriots come Week 1.
Thu Jul 10 201408:33Brandon Bolden fighting for his roster spot?
The Boston Globe's Erik Frenz does not believe Patriots RB Brandon Bolden will make the team.
Though used primarily in the passing game while Shane Vereen was injured last season, Bolden has the size and running style to play the "big back" role in the Patriots' offense. If Bolden is cut, that would leave just Stevan Ridley to fill that role. In addition to Ridley and Vereen, Frenz believes FB James Devlin and rookies James White and Roy Finch will crack the final roster.

Sun Dec 22 201321:05Brandon Bolden notches 12 yards in win
Filling in for an injured Shane Vereen (groin), Brandon Bolden rushed once for six yards in New England's Week 16 win over the Ravens, adding two catches for an additional six yards.
The touches were Bolden's first since Week 13. Bolden will get some run in Week 17 if Vereen isn't ready to go, but won't be a viable option in daily leagues.

Fri Dec 6 201315:55Brandon Bolden misses practice Friday
Brandon Bolden's absence from Patriots practice Friday was described as "not injury related."
It doesn't sound like Bolden is in danger of missing Sunday's tilt with the Browns, though he hasn't been much of a factor in New England's offense lately. He managed 20 yards on four touches in last week's win over the Texans.

Fri Dec 6 201310:50Brandon Bolden misses practice Friday
Brandon Bolden (undisclosed) did not practice Friday.
Bolden wasn't part of the injury reports on Wednesday or Thursday, so he may have suffered an injury at the end of yesterday's session or woke up with an ailment. LeGarrette Blount is the new lead back in New England. But if Bolden is forced to miss, Stevan Ridley could find himself active.

Sun Dec 1 201316:50Brandon Bolden manages only 20 yards in win
Brandon Bolden rushed three times for two yards in New England's Week 13 win over the Texans, adding an 18-yard catch.
Fumblin' Stevan Ridley was a healthy scratch, but Fumblin' LeGarrette Blount surprisingly ran ahead of Bolden in Ridley's absence. Both Ridley and Blount were benched in last week's win. There's no telling how things might unfold in Week 14, leaving Bolden as a nonentity for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Mon Nov 25 201301:41Bolden lead Patriots in Week 12 carries
Brandon Bolden rushed 13 times for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 12 win over the Broncos.
Bolden was a healthy inactive last week, but took over as the primary early-down back with Stevan Ridley and LeGarrette Blount fumbling in the first quarter. He added one catch for 11 yards and converted on a goal-line carry for his only touchdown of the night. Shane Vereen out-touched Bolden and was the preferred back in all passing situations. Bolden is worth targeting on the waiver-wire until the Patriots running back situation works itself out.

Mon Nov 18 201319:29Brandon Bolden headlines MNF inactives
Brandon Bolden is a healthy inactive for Monday night's Week 11 game against the Panthers.
Bolden wasn't on the injury report this week, for what seems to be the first time all season. But with Shane Vereen back in the mix as the passing-down back, Bolden's role has evaporated and he'll be in sweatpants on the sideline. Also inactive for the Patriots are G Chris Barker, LB Steve Beauharnais, DE Jake Bequette, S Steve Gregory, CB Alfonzo Dennard, and RB Leon Washington. Dennard has a knee injury. Kenbrell Thompkins and Josh Boyce are both active.

Sun Nov 3 201320:09Brandon Bolden gets three touches in win
Brandon Bolden rushed three times for 36 yards in Sunday's Week 9 win over the Steelers.
Once again, Bolden was the passing back and every-down player in the two-minute drill. That's a job that will go to Shane Vereen following the Week 10 bye. Bolden can safely be dropped across the board.

Thu Oct 31 201316:30Brandon Bolden still 'limited' on Thursday
Brandon Bolden (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
The Pats are going to see how long they can go without listing Bolden as "full." New England's hurry-up/passing-down back is a low-end FLEX play for Week 9.

Wed Oct 30 201318:22Bolden limited once again on Wednesday
Brandon Bolden (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
As is the norm with Bolden. He's in zero danger of missing Week 9. With Shane Vereen (wrist) closing in on a return, Bolden's role could take a hit shortly.

Wed Oct 23 201319:25Brandon Bolden (knee) limited Wednesday
Brandon Bolden (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Bolden will be listed as questionable before playing Sunday against the Dolphins. He'll continue to work as the passing-down back until Shane Vereen (wrist) gets back from short-term I.R. Bolden isn't a recommended flex play.

Sun Oct 20 201317:19Brandon Bolden goes 8/36/1 versus Jets
Brandon Bolden rushed eight times for 36 yards and a touchdown in New England's Week 7 loss to the Jets, adding one catch for seven yards.
It was all Bolden for the game's first 1.5 quarters, as the Pats went into hurry-up mode. They scrapped it on their third series, however, and rotated Bolden with Stevan Ridley thereafter. Bolden had a 25-yard catch nullified by penalty in the fourth quarter. Just a role player whose main contribution will be catches in an average week, Bolden isn't a viable FLEX play.
