Thu Dec 18 201417:46Charles (knee
Charles (knee, ankle) practiced fully Thursday, the Chiefs' official site reports.

Wed Dec 17 201419:55Charles (knee/ankle) limited in practice Wednesday
Charles (knee/ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, the Kansas City Star reports.
Charles didn't practice last Wednesday, so his participation this week, albeit in a limited fashion, suggests that he'll be fine for Sunday's game against the Steelers. In any case, the hit to the head that Charles absorbed in Week 15 appears to be a non-issue at this stage.

Charles, who left Sunday's game against the Raiders briefly after taking a hit to the head in the third quarter, did not play in the fourth quarter because the Chiefs were being cautious, ESPN.com reports.
Charles cleared the concussion tests on the sideline, but the Chiefs had the benefit of a big lead and were able to exercise caution with their star running back. Charles took a similar hit to the head in a game against the Chargers in October and reported concussion symptoms the following day, so we'll be sure to keep an eye on Charles this week to see if any lingering symptoms put his Week 16 status in jeopardy.

Charles rushed 12 times for 52 yards and caught one pass for one yard Sunday against the Raiders.
Charles reportedly took a shot to the head late in the third quarter and underwent concussion tests on the sideline. He returned to the field briefly, but sat out during the fourth quarter. The reason for his absence could be related to the earlier hit or the 25-point lead the Chiefs held going into the quarter. The team should update his status at some point in the coming days.
Sun Dec 14 201411:33Charles (knee, ankle) active for Sunday's game against Raiders
Charles (knee, ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Charles was limited in practice earlier in the week, but he seems to be close to full strength now. You know what to do with him, especially against Oakland's porous run defense.
Fri Dec 12 201416:30Jamaal Charles: (Knee, Ankle) Probable to Play Sunday
Charles (knee, ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, the Chiefs' official site reports.
Per the report, coach Andy Reid indicated that the Chiefs would have full use of Charles on Sunday, after the running back practiced fully Friday. Thus, assuming no in-game setbacks, Charles is in line to see his share of touches on Sunday, with Knile Davis on hand to spell him.

Coach Andy Reid indicated Friday that Charles (knee, ankle) will play Sunday against the Raiders, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
We'll have to see how the Chiefs officially list Charles this week, but at this stage the running back appears to be trending toward a probable designation in advance of Sunday's contest.
Thu Dec 11 201417:51Charles (knee
Charles (knee, ankle) returned to a limited practice Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
More on Charles's status Friday, though if he draws a questionable designation this week, fortunately for the running back's fantasy owners, the Chiefs kick off against the Raiders at 1:00 ET on Sunday.

According to BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site, Charles should practice Thursday.
We'll circle back on Charles' status once the Chiefs' practice report is released later Thursday, but if he indeed is able to get some work in, as hoped, the running back's Week 15 playing prospects would brighten.
Wed Dec 10 201413:03Charles (knee
Charles (knee, ankle) won't practice Wednesday, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
The report suggests that Charles, who went through Wednesday's walk-through before practice, is day-to-day in advance of Sunday's game against the Raiders. More on the running back's status no later than Thursday's practice report.
Mon Dec 8 201414:02Following Sunday's loss to Cardinals
Following Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, Charles is dealing with a swollen knee, as well as an ankle issue, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
"He's a bit tender today," coach Andy Reid said Monday of Charles, who recorded 10 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 20 yards, while adding a receiving score on Sunday. At this stage, Charles' status for this coming weekend's game against the Raiders is worth tracking, and given his current aches and pains, at a minimum we'd expect the running back's practice participation to be impacted in the coming days.

Charles (ankle) had 10 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes (on four targets) for 20 yards, with a receiving score, in Sunday's loss at Arizona.
Charles was knocked out of the game early, but returned, and scored on a pretty 18-yard touchdown reception in the final two minutes of the first half. It's surprising that he wasn't involved more as a runner, as the game was close throughout. Assuming his ankle is OK, he'll face a suspect Raiders' rush defense in Week 15.

Charles who left Sunday's game against the Cardinals with an ankle injury, was able to return to the contest.
After Charles jogged off to the locker room, his return to Sunday's game was deemed questionable, but obviously the running back's ankle issue was a minor one, given his return to action.

Charles was forced out of Sunday's game against the Cardinals with an ankle injury.
Prior to his exit from Sunday's game, Charles recorded three carries for 74 yards, one of which resulted in a 63-yard touchdown run. Next up for the Chiefs' carries as long as Charles sits is Knile Davis.
Sun Dec 7 201414:55Charles (knee) listed as active Sunday at Arizona
Charles (knee) is listed as active Sunday at Arizona, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
Despite a bruised knee, Charles will take on a Cardinals unit ranked sixth against the run this season, allowing 89.3 yards per game. Nevertheless, he's found the end zone in seven games in a row, meaning few running back options are more reliable for fantasy pursuits.

Charles (knee) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, the Chiefs' official site reports.
Charles is good to go after practicing fully all week, and is set to take aim Sunday at a stout Arizona run defense that has allowed an average of 89.3 rushing yards per game to go along with five TDs on the ground to date.
Wed Dec 3 201417:55Charles (knee) practiced fully Wednesday
Charles (knee) practiced fully Wednesday, the Chiefs' official site reports.
Per ESPN's Adam Teicher, Charles is dealing with a sore knee, but the running back's full practice participant Wednesday likely foreshadows a probable designation in advance of Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Mon Dec 1 201413:17Charles dealing with bruised knee
Charles is dealing with a bruised knee, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Charles' status is thus worth monitoring closely as this coming Sunday's game against the Cardinals approaches. Next up for carries if Charles is limited at all this week, is Knile Davis.

Charles had 10 carries for 35 yards, adding four receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown, in Sunday's 29-16 loss to the Broncos.
While Charles looked excellent on a few of his touches, the Chiefs fell behind 14-0 by the end of the first quarter, and they ultimately ran just 44 offensive plays in the game. That largely explains Charles getting fewer than 14 carries and 16 touches for the first time since Week 2, as he was still quite involved in the offense. He extended his touchdown streak to seven games, and while next week's contest in Arizona is a tough one, Charles has mostly been unaffected by tricky matchups this season.

Charles had 19 carries for 80 yards, adding four receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown, in Thursday's 24-20 loss to the Raiders.
Charles had just six touches in the second half, but one of those was an impressive catch-and-run for a game-tying, 30-yard touchdown. The Kansas City offense often seems to ignore its best player at the oddest of times, yet Charles rarely lacks for touches when you look at the box score. It thus remains more of an issue for the team than Charles' owners, as the speedy running back has at least 88 scrimmage yards and one touchdown in each of his last six games. Next week's matchup with the Broncos is a tough one, but so were Charles' Week 10 and 11 matchups against the Bills and Seahawks.
