Culliver (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Dallas.
Culliver's presence will be helpful as the 49ers attempt to keep up with Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Jason Witten, though he's not likely to make an IDP impact.
Fri Sep 5 201412:24Culliver (ankle) limited participant in practice Thursday
Culliver (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, CSN Bay Area reports.
Culliver is slated to be a starting corner for the 49ers this season. He has been dealing with this ankle injury, but his participation in practice, albeit limited, is a good sign that he will suit up Sunday against Dallas.

Culliver has missed the last two days of training camp with a minor lower leg injury, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Culliver's injury is not considered serious and he should be back in training camp soon. There was no official word of whether the injury was related to the ACL injury he suffered in 2013, but the lackadaisical announcement from the team hints that this injury is unrelated.
Wed Jul 23 201400:00Chris Culliver gets medical clearance
49ers CB Chris Culliver (ACL) has been medically cleared for training camp.
Culliver tore his left ACL last August. The fourth-year corner is penciled in as the 49ers' starter opposite Tramaine Brock, with Jimmie Ward at nickel.

Wed May 28 201419:34Chris Culliver penciled in as starter
49ers CB Chris Culliver remains penciled in as a starter.
The Niners reportedly weren't high on the 2014 cornerback class, and didn't draft one until the late fourth round (Dontae Johnson). First-round pick Jimmie Ward is a free safety and slot corner. Culliver has tools to become a plus starter, but injuries and off-field hiccups have held him back to this point.

Sat May 10 201411:5349ers will look for corner help on Day 3
49ers GM Trent Baalke said the team "absolutely will" draft a cornerback on Saturday "if the right player is there at the right time."
The 49ers should be looking for competition for CB Chris Culliver. Culliver (knee surgery) is expected to be ready physically for training camp but is facing felony possession of metal knuckles and misdemeanor hit-and-run charges stemming from an incident this March. The charges put him in danger of facing league discipline. Clemson CB Bashaud Breeland and Oregon CB Terrance Mitchell are two of Rotoworld's Josh Norris favorite remaining players and potential targets for San Francisco early in the fourth round.

Mon Apr 14 201415:00Chris Culliver pleads not guilty in court
49ers CB Chris Culliver pleaded not guilty Monday to felony possession of metal knuckles and misdemeanor hit-and-run charges stemming from his March 28 arrest.
Culliver is accused of striking a bicycler with his car, ramming a witness' vehicle, and threatening the witness with brass knuckles. He is in danger of NFL discipline. Culliver's arrest was just one of several off-field incidents haunting the 49ers' organization during a so-far forgettable offseason.

49ers CB Chris Culliver has been formally charged with a felony and two misdemeanors stemming from his March 28 hit-and-run arrest.
The felony is possession of metal knuckles, with which Culliver threatened a witness following an accident. The witness tried to prevent Culliver from fleeing the scene. The misdemeanors are hit-and-run causing injury and hit-and-run causing property damage. We expect Culliver to eventually be cut by the 49ers.

CSN Bay Area considers 49ers CB Chris Culiver (knee) a candidate for a starting role in 2014.
Culliver missed the entire 2013 season with a torn ACL, but is on track to participate in the team's offseason program. With Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown, and Eric Wright all not expected back, Culliver will be in the mix for one of the 49ers' top three cornerback spots. San Francisco also figures to add competition through the draft or free agency.

Thu Aug 1 201315:5449ers CB Culliver carted off with knee injury
49ers CB Chris Culliver was carted off the practice field Thursday with a potentially serious left knee injury.
Culliver was covering a punt when he fell to the ground and clutched his left knee. He immediately called a trainer over, and he was carted to the trainer's room as tears flowed down his face. We're not going to speculate until further details emerge, but it doesn't sound good. Culliver is the Niners' No. 3 corner.

Thu Jul 18 201312:01Report: Culliver still in 49ers' plans
The Sacramento Bee insists CB Chris Culliver is still in the 49ers' long-term plans, and they have no plans to convert him to safety.
After Culliver's disastrous Super Bowl performance, there were whispers he could be transitioned to safety. Also, following his homophobic remarks and insensitive comments about women, many wondered if the soon-to-be 25-year-old's roster spot was in jeopardy. Culliver is just one of a two experienced 49ers corners under contract for the 2014 season, so he's not going anywhere.

Fri Apr 19 201309:29Chris Culliver in more hot water
49ers CB Chris Culliver is in hot water after posting insensitive remarks about women on his Instagram account.
This would be the same Chris Culliver who made insensitive remarks about the LGBT community during Super Bowl week. Culliver pledged to "learn and grow" from his Super Bowl experience, but has clearly done neither. The 49ers are handling the matter "internally." Culliver can't afford any more off-the-field missteps after struggling on it during the playoffs.

Mon Feb 4 201314:50Ravens 'chuckled' at Chris Culliver
According to SI's Peter King, the Ravens were "chuckling about (49ers CB Chris Culliver's) ineptitude in the postgame locker room."
Under the microscope after making homophobic remarks during the week, San Francisco's No. 3 corner was relentlessly challenged by Joe Flacco, and got burned repeatedly. Culliver was the culprit on both Anquan Boldin's 30-yard sideline grab in the first quarter - a ball Flacco appeared to heave in desperation - and Jacoby Jones' game-changing 56-yard touchdown with 1:56 remaining in the first half. Jones simply blew by Culliver coming out of his break. The 2011 third-round pick graded out as a top-30 corner in Pro Football Focus' ratings, but the 49ers will likely consider corner a position of need after its secondary's dismal postseason showing.

Wed Jan 30 201320:20Culliver issues apology on Wednesday
49ers CB Chris Cullvier issued an apology on Wednesday for the homophobic remarks he made on Tuesday.
"The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel," Culliver said. "It has taken me seeing them in print to realize that they are hurtful and ugly. Those discriminating feelings are truly not in my heart. Further, I apologize to those who I have hurt and offended, and I pledge to learn and grow from this experience."

Wed Jan 30 201316:37Culliver makes homophobic remarks
49ers CB Chris Culliver made homophobic remarks in a Tuesday radio interview.
"I don't do the gay guys man," Culliver said on the Artie Lange Show. "I don't do that. No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do." Culliver's extremely unfortunate remarks help illustrate why there's yet to be an openly gay active player in North American sports, but are unlikely to draw a fine from commissioner Roger Goodell. The second-year pro progressed on the field this season, but has some growing up to do off of it.
