Ingram (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Ingram struggled last weekend against the Ravens, his second consecutive game with fewer than 70 rushing yards. And while the Steelers aren't as good against the run as the Ravens, they still rank 10th in the NFL in fewest rushing yards allowed per game.
Fri Nov 28 201416:33Ingram (shoulder) probable for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh
Ingram (shoulder) is probable for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.
Ingram disappointed with just 11 carries for 27 yards against Baltimore last week, with the Saints going pass-heavy and giving a lot of snaps to passing-down back Pierre Thomas as a result. The Pittsburgh defense is more friendly to the run than Baltimore's, so Ingram would disappoint a lot of owners if he doesn't bounce back a bit this week.
Wed Nov 26 201419:21Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Practices Fully Wednesday
Ingram (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday, the Saints' official site reports.
Ingram's four-game reign as the unquestioned running back in New Orleans came to an end this past Monday. With a soft Ravens secondary in front of them, the Saints opted to air it out, limiting Ingram to 11 carries for 27 yards and two receptions for 15 yards. The outing included the return of fellow back Pierre Thomas, who handled a similar workload (five runs for 19 yards and six catches for 37 yards). In Week 13, the Saints may follow a similar game plan against a Steelers defense that's middle of the pack against the pass and Top 10 versus the run. If so, Ingram's value will continue to dwindle.

Ingram had 11 carries for 27 yards and two receptions for 15 yards in Monday's 34-27 loss to the Ravens.
Pierre Thomas returned from a shoulder injury to gain 19 yards on five carries and 37 yards on six receptions. Ingram unsurprisingly struggled, as the matchup with Baltimore's tough front seven favored Drew Brees and the passing game over Ingram's power running. Further taking away from Ingram's cause, the Saints went down by two scores early in the fourth quarter. Next week's road matchup with the Steelers should be more amenable to the New Orleans rushing attack, for which Ingram is still the centerpiece.

Ingram (shoulder) is listed as active for Monday's game against the Ravens, the Saints' official site reports.
Ingram is in line to head the Saints' Week 12 rushing attack and thus merits lineup consideration, though he could lose some touches Monday due to the return of Pierre Thomas, particularly in the passing game.
Sat Nov 22 201415:02Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Probable
Ingram (shoulder) is probable for Monday's game.
He was a full participant in Saturday's practice and with Khiry Robinson (forearm) out, Ingram should continue to see most of the carries for the Saints. Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder) should factor into the passing game against the Ravens, but Ingram remains the back to own in the Saints' backfield.
Thu Nov 20 201418:15Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Practices Fully Thursday
Ingram (shoulder) practiced fully Thursday, the Saints' official site reports.
As the only viable running back for the Saints of late, Ingram has turned 104 carries into 459 yards and three touchdowns over the last four games. one the RBs absent during that span, Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder), participated on a limited basis Thursday, implying that his return to action is nigh. Nevertheless, Ingram is the top dog in New Orleans until further notice.

Ingram (shoulder) had 23 carries for 67 rushing yards and a team-high seven catches on seven targets for 30 receiving yards Sunday against the Bengals.
Ingram continues to be heavily-used in the Saints' offense, posting over 20 carries for the fourth consecutive game. His 67 rushing yards ended his three-game streak with at least 100 yards on the ground, though his seven receptions certainly helped make up for it in PPR formats. With Pierre Thomas (shoulder) and Khiry Robinson (arm) still sidelined, Ingram will likely continue to get a vast majority of the backfield touches in Week 12 against the Ravens, though it won't be an easy matchup, as the Ravens are allowing the sixth-fewest rushing yards per game this season.
Sun Nov 16 201411:46Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Active Sunday
Ingram (shoulder) is active for Sunday's contest against the Bengals, the Saints' official site reports.
In a backfield without the services of Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder), Khiry Robinson (arm), and Edwin Baker (concussion), Ingram will again power the Saints' ground game versus a Cincinnati run defense that has been particularly porous this season, allowing 4.6 YPC and 12 total touchdowns to running backs across nine outings.
Fri Nov 14 201416:50Ingram (shoulder) probable for Sunday's game against Cincinnati
Ingram (shoulder) is probable for Sunday's game against Cincinnati.
Ingram is ready to go for Sunday, and he'll probably get all the work he can handle with all of Pierre Thomas (rib/shoulder), Khiry Robinson (arm) and Edwin Baker (concussion) out against the Bengals. Ingram is a clear RB1 option Sunday.
Wed Nov 12 201418:44Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Limited Wednesday
Ingram (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Ingram is repeating last week's practice schedule, but it didn't stop him from racking up 120 yards on 27 carries and 19 additional yards on three receptions during Sunday's loss to the 49ers. A similar regimen may be in store this week as well, but the continued absences of Pierre Thomas (shoulder/rib) and Khiry Robinson (arm) ensure Ingram nearly unfettered access to a significant workload.

Ingram (shoulder) had 27 carries for 120 rushing yards and three catches on five targets for 19 receiving yards Sunday against the 49ers.
With Khiry Robinson (arm) and Pierre Thomas (shoulder) both out, Ingram got 27 of the 29 running back carries, ceding just two touches to Travaris Cadet, who turned them into nine yards. It was Ingram's third straight game with at least 100 yards, though his first in that span without a touchdown. Up next is a very promising Week 11 matchup against the Bengals, who allow 143 rushing yards per game this season, the second-highest average in the NFL, while also giving up the second-most rushing touchdowns.
Sun Nov 9 201411:40Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Active Sunday
Ingram (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday against the 49ers, the Saints' official site reports.
The absences of fellow backs Pierre Thomas (shoulder) and Khiry Robinson (arm) leave Ingram as the unquestioned No. 1 out of the Saints' backfield. Coming off the most productive two-game stretch of his career -- 54 carries for 272 yards and three touchdowns -- Ingram's new-found workhorse status is a boon to his prospects versus a San Francisco defense that has allowed four rushing scores to running backs over the last four outings.
Sun Nov 9 201409:50Ingram (shoulder) expected to play against 49ers on Sunday
Ingram (shoulder) is expected to play against the 49ers on Sunday, according to NFL.com.
We'll verify Ingram's status as Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff approaches, but assuming he is available, Ingram figures to be counted on heavily by the Saints in Week 10, with fellow running backs Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas both out.
Fri Nov 7 201416:52Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Listed as Questionable
Ingram (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Although he's listed as questionable, Ingram is expected to play and start against the 49ers, especially with both Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas out. Ingram practiced all week in a limited capacity and should once again serve as one of the better fantasy running back options this week.
Thu Nov 6 201411:51the Saints could again lean heavily on Ingram (shoulder)
With Khiry Robinson (arm) and Pierre Thomas (shoulder) both absent from practice on Wednesday, the Saints could again lean heavily on Ingram (shoulder), reports Mike Triplett of ESPN.com.
Ingram is also dealing with a shoulder injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday, but assuming he can suit up, the workload should again be favorable, as both Thomas and Robinson appear highly questionable to play Sunday against the 49ers. With the pair out, Ingram has churned out 272 yards and three touchdowns on 54 carries over the past two weeks.
Wed Nov 5 201420:10Mark Ingram: (Shoulder) Limited Wednesday
Ingram (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, the Saints' official site reports.
Ingram has dealt with injuries throughout his three-plus years in the league, but a shoulder ailment has never befallen him. Perhaps his incredible workload last Thursday (30 carries) aided in his addition to the injury report, but the Saints' backfield was also without Pierre Thomas (ribs/shoulder) and Khiry Robinson (arm) on Wednesday, meaning the week of practice will be one to watch to see who emerges as the No. 1 RB threat.

Ingram rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries, adding one reception for 10 yards on two targets, in Thursday's 28-10 win over the Panthers.
With Pierre Thomas (shoulder) and Khiry Robinson (forearm) both out, Ingram took on a large workload, while Travaris Cadet contributed just two carries and three catches. Ingram has been surprisingly tough to bring down this season, and although the hard running continued into Thursday's game, his 3.3 yards per carry was disappointing against a vulnerable Carolina defense. Of course, fantasy owners won't be complaining, as Ingram has three touchdowns and 272 rushing yards over his last two games. He'll lose some touches to Robinson and Thomas once they get healthy, but Ingram seems to be locked in as the top guy for carries. Week 10 brings a difficult home matchup against the 4th-ranked San Francisco run defense.
Wed Oct 29 201418:06Ingram could be in for another big workload
With Pierre Thomas ruled out and Khiry Robinson listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Panthers, Ingram could be in for another big workload. In Sunday night's rout of the Packers, Ingram received 54 of the Saints' 68 offensive snaps (79 percent).
While he hasn't yet been ruled out, Robinson's status for the tilt in Carolina looks shaky, at best, as he was unable to practice at all on Tuesday, after missing the game against Green Bay. Ingram ran all over the Packers' shoddy run defense on Sunday, rushing for a career-high 172 yards, including a 21-yard touchdown run that put the nail in the Packers' proverbial coffin. While the strength of the Panthers' defense last season was their ability to stop the run, they rank 31st in the league in defending the run this season, so Ingram has another great opportunity to post big fantasy numbers, particularly with a number of top running backs on bye.

Ingram had 172 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in Sunday's 44-23 win over the Packers, adding one reception for three yards.
With Pierre Thomas (shoulder) and Khiry Robinson (forearm) sidelined, Ingram got 24 of the 25 carries that went to a non-fullback running back. Travaris Cadet caught four passes for 40 yards while handling most of the work on passing downs, but Ingram dominated the carries all night, topping things off with nine totes for 64 yards and a touchdown (from 21 yards out) in the final quarter. He didn't have any runs longer than 28 yards, yet still piled up an impressive 7.2 yards per carry, picking up a number of first downs along the way. After making the best of a favorable matchup, Ingram may get another chance to dominate the carries, as the Saints have just three days off before facing the Panthers in Carolina on Thursday. Thomas is expected to miss at least one more game, while Robinson's potential availability is a bit more uncertain.
