Cooper (ankle) is listed as "probable" for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Cooper returned to practice this week despite a minor ankle ailment, and all signs are pointing to the wideout taking the field Sunday. Although Jeremy Maclin projects to be the top target in Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense, look for quarterback Nick Foles to look Cooper's way several times as well.
Wed Sep 3 201416:38Cooper (ankle) participated fully at Wednesday's practice
Cooper (ankle) participated fully at Wednesday's practice.
After a breakout campaign, Cooper enters the 2014 season with an ankle minor in nature. After recording at least three receptions in each of the final 12 games of last year, he's a decent bet to keep up the pace in coach Chip Kelly's explosive offense.

Cooper caught three passes for 25 yards on five targets in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
Cooper dropped what should have been a touchdown, but he more importantly proved that his foot is fine. He and Jeremy Maclin are locked in as the starting duo in an offense with questionable depth at wide receiver. However, Nick Foles still has plenty of other options in the passing game, thanks to running backs LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles and tight ends Brent Celek and Zach Ertz.

Cooper (foot) was a full participant in Sunday's practice for the first time in over two weeks, NJ.com reports.
Cooper has missed the preseason thus far due to a foot injury and although he's been able to practice more recently, Sunday marked the first occasion Cooper was full-go. The wideout will aim to make his exhibition debut Thursday against the Steelers as Philadelphia's No. 2 receiver opposite Jeremy Maclin (hamstring).

Cooper (foot) is among the Eagles in line to be held out Friday against the Patriots, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Cooper, who is bouncing back from a foot injury, has resumed practicing, with his absence from Friday's contest presumably precautionary in nature.

Though Cooper (foot) was present for the start of Thursday's practice, csnphilly.com indicates that he isn't likely to play Friday against the Patriots.
Though Cooper, who missed last week's preseason opener against the Bears, has resumed practicing, the report notes that the wideout has been limited in most drills during the week, which supports the notion that the Eagles may play it safe with him on Friday.
Sun Aug 10 201413:53Cooper (foot) returned to practice on Sunday
Cooper (foot) returned to practice on Sunday, csnphilly.com reports.
Cooper missed Friday's preseason opener against the Bears, with his return to the field Sunday suggesting that he has a shot to suit up for the Eagles' Aug. 16 tilt against the Patriots, barring any setbacks.

Cooper (foot) will not play in Friday's preseason game against the Bears.
Cooper shed his walking boot Wednesday but, as expected, won't participate in the Eagles' first preseason game Friday.
Wed Aug 6 201413:15Cooper (foot) now out of walking boot
Cooper (foot) is now out of his walking boot, but is still not expected to play in Friday's preseason tilt against the Bears, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Cooper has been kept out of practice for the past week or so while dealing with a foot injury, but apparently the receiver is edging closer to a return now that his walking boot is no longer needed. Although Cooper has started running again, the time he's missed will prevent him from playing in Friday's opening exhibition game. While Cooper has been sidelined, rookie Jordan Matthews has drawn rave reviews from Eagles camp, giving Cooper definite competition for Philadelphia's No. 2 receiving spot behind Jeremy Maclin.
Fri Aug 1 201412:42Riley Cooper: Suffering From Ongoing Foot Injury
Cooper continues to deal with a foot injury that philly.com indicates the wideout suffered on the first day of training camp, last Saturday.
Though Cooper has been spotted wearing a boot on his left leg, coach Chip Kelly suggested Friday that the wideout's injury isn't serious. "He's got a foot injury," Kelly indicated. "It's just a preventive thing. He should be back in a couple of days." In the meantime, Jeff Maehl has been seeing added practice reps in Cooper's place.
Wed Jul 30 201413:30Riley Cooper: Dealing With Minor Foot Injury
Cooper is currently dealing with a foot injury, csnphilly.com reports.
On the plus side, coach Chip Kelly indicated that Cooper's injury isn't considered major, suggesting that the wideout could be back "shortly." In Cooper's absence, Jeff Maehl has taken additional snaps for the Eagles in practice.
Mon Mar 31 201410:58Riley Cooper will see more attention
Riley Cooper is expected to deal with significantly more attention from defenses this season.
Cooper had something of a perfect storm come his way on the field last season, as Jeremy Maclin's ACL tear and DeSean Jackson's speed afforded him both playing time and man coverage with no safety over the top. He cashed in with a 47-835-8 line and a $25 million contract. But without Jackson drawing attention, Darren Sproles' arrival, an expanded role for Zach Ertz and a likely rookie at the wideout spot, Cooper is going to find the sledding tougher.

Wed Feb 26 201421:13Eagles to lock up Riley Cooper for 4 seasons
CSN Philadelphia reports the Eagles will sign free agent WR Riley Cooper to a four-year contract on Thursday.
The Philly Inquirer reported earlier in the day that the sides were close. We're fascinated to see the money as Cooper returns from a career-best year. Then-rookie coach Chip Kelly stood behind Cooper through an incredibly difficult time following Cooper's drunken, racist remarks at a Kenny Chesney concert, then started him in every game. We suspect the Eagles will get Cooper at a discount price, perhaps something in the $3 million to $4 million per-year range.

Wed Feb 26 201417:09Report: Eagles, WR Cooper closing in on deal
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles and free agent Riley Cooper are close to agreeing to a new contract.
Per beat writer Jeff McLane, the deal could be finalized and announced within the next few days. In addition to this, McLane adds that the Eagles are expected to sign free agent Jeremy Maclin to a new one-year, "show me" contract. With the start of free agency 13 days away, GM Howie Roseman has been opening up the checkbook. LT Jason Peters inked a four-year extension Wednesday. C Jason Kelce isn't far behind. Cooper isn't going to break the bank.

Wed Feb 26 201415:03Report: Eagles prioritize Cooper over Maclin
Profootballtalk reports that free agent Riley Cooper is more of a priority for the Eagles to re-sign than Jeremy Maclin.
It's PFT's Mike Florio's understanding that "it's not even close." This contradicts a Philadelphia Inquirer report from last weekend that the team would prefer to re-sign Maclin over Cooper. Florio has been all over Cooper this month. Last week, a source informed PFT that Cooper will be in "significant demand" once free agency opens March 11. Cooper doesn't have quite the injury history Maclin does and broke out in coach Chip Kelly's offense in 2013. Maclin is still an unknown to the current Eagles staff. Both players would have suitors on the open market.

Mon Feb 17 201413:42Riley Cooper expected to have strong market
A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that free agent Riley Cooper will be in "significant demand" if he reaches the open market.
PFT is "told" that the Eagles "would like to keep him," but DeSean Jackson is already making $10 million a year, and it's very conceivable that Philly would prefer to re-sign Jeremy Maclin rather than Cooper. Cooper is a big-bodied, 6-foot-3, 222-pound wideout coming off career highs in catches, yards, and touchdowns while averaging 17.8 yards per reception. He's 26 years old.

Thu Jan 30 201410:17Will another locker room welcome Cooper?
Eagles blogger Tim McManus wonders if another locker room will accept free agent WR Riley Cooper.
It's a fair question. In July of last year, Cooper was caught on tape letting an ugly racial slur fly while drunk at a Kenny Chesney concert. The Eagles, desperate for wideout help in the wake of Jeremy Maclin's season-ending knee injury, stuck by him -- with team leaders like Michael Vick and Jason Avant paving the way. But will another team welcome Cooper with open arms? It's very possible the Eagles can re-sign him at a discount.

Mon Jan 6 201411:27Eagles will want Riley Cooper back?
The Philadelphia Daily News says it's likely the Eagles are interested in re-signing impending free agent Riley Cooper.
If Cooper was a free agent four months ago, he would have found literally no suitors. He had 46 catches through his first three NFL seasons and became a national story when he let a racial slur fly while drunk at a Kenny Chesney concert. But the Eagles stuck by him and he performed surprisingly well as the No. 2 wideout, posting a 47/835/8 line. Jeremy Maclin, who is coming off a preseason ACL tear, is also an unrestricted free agent. It's hard to see the Eagles bringing both of these guys back, especially if they plan to use a draft pick at the position.
