It was only the second time this season that Roethlisberger failed to throw a touchdown pass, with the last one coming back in Week 2 against the Ravens. Up next is a Week 16 matchup against the Chiefs, who came into Sunday allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game in the NFL this season.

The Bengals are on a three-game roll, but Roethlisberger has solidified his fantasy standing of late by racking up respectable yardage numbers over his last five games. During that span, he has passed for 340 yards or more four times.

Roethlisberger previously shrugged off speculation that he was dealing with a wrist injury, with offensive coordinator Todd Haley noting Thursday that "coach (Mike) Tomlin wanted to give (the QB) a break" Wednesday, adding that "(Roethlisberger) was sharp and throwing it around the field" during Thursday's practice.

Both Roethlisberger and the Steelers have refuted a report suggesting that the QB has a broken bone in his wrist, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. In the words of Roethlisberger, "there is absolutely nothing wrong with my wrist."

Per Bob Labriola of Steelers.com, Roethlisberger did not practice Wednesday, but the QB's absence was noted as not injury related. While Roethlisberger's status is worth monitoring in the coming days, so far there is nothing to suggest that his status for Sunday's game against the Bengals is in any danger.

Roethlisberger banged up his hand during the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Saints, but was able to play through the issue, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Though the Steelers went with five straight running plays after he sustained the injury Sunday, Roethlisberger did not leave the game, while finishing up with 435 passing yards, to go along with two TDs and two picks. "I am sure every quarterback has that happen every game," Roethlisberger said afterward. "Does it hurt? Yeah. Did it affect my throwing? No." In any case, we'd don't expect Roethlisberger's availability for Week 14's game against the Bengals to be affected by the issue, though we'll track his status to see if his practice participation is impacted at all this week.

Roethlisberger completed 32-of-58 passes for 435 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions Sunday against the Saints.

Roethlisberger connected with six different receivers, as running back Le'Veon Bell led the way by catching eight of 11 passes for 159 yards. The 435 yards were more than double his total from Week 11 against the Titans, before a Week 12 bye, but he's still turning the ball over way too much, throwing five interceptions in the last three games alone. A Week 14 breakout seems unlikely, as he'll face off against a Bengals defense that has allowed the fewest passing touchdowns in the league this season.

Roethlisberger made some key passes after halftime, but he largely played a sloppy game for the second week in a row. His interception came on an apparent miscommunication with Antonio Brown, who is typically on the same page as his quarterback. Roethlisberger's gestures hinted at an improper route by Brown, but the throw was in an odd spot that probably wouldn't have worked with any pattern. The bulky quarterback also took five sacks, a few of which could have been avoided. And, he badly underthrew a wide-open Martavis Bryant on what should have been an easy touchdown. The Steelers were still able to ride Le'Veon Bell's 204 rushing yards to victory, and Roethlisberger threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Brown in the fourth quarter. For all the goodwill he built up with consecutive six-touchdown games, Roethlisberger still heads into his Week 12 bye as a shaky option, coming off a pair of one-touchdown showings against teams that struggle to defend the pass. It's hard to know what to make of him for a favorable Week 13 home matchup with the Saints. Roethlisberger's weekly ceiling is right there with that of the elite quarterbacks, but you rarely see the likes of Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers come away with just one touchdown in an excellent matchup, much less in consecutive games.

Roethlisberger completed 30 of 43 passes for 343 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Jets.

After throwing for six touchdowns in back-to-back games, Big Ben crashed down to earth against the lowly Jets. The final numbers look okay, but they are misleading; Roethlisberger needed an 80-yard touchdown pass in garbage time to salvage what was otherwise an awful fantasy day. He was never going to sustain his ridiculous pace from the last couple of weeks, but a complete stinker like this was definitely unexpected. He should bounce back next week against Tennessee's mediocre pass defense.

The Pittsburgh offense got off to a slow start, ending each of its first four drives with a punt. Then, the Steeler defense came up with back-to-back turnovers in the second quarter to set up a pair of Roethlisberger touchdown passes on short drives. The rest came easy, as Roethlisberger added a third scoring toss right before the half and another three after the break, becoming the first player in NFL history with 12 passing touchdowns over a two-game period. While he took advantage of a couple injury-marred secondaries to set the record, Roethlisberger more than did his part by displaying unusually good accuracy in two straight games against teams with winning records. Improvement on the offensive line has also helped vault the Pittsburgh passing attack to new heights, as have the recent contributions from rookie wideout Martavis Bryant. But, above all, Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown are both playing at a very high level right now, with no signs of slowing down. The highly vulnerable Jets secondary is likely in for a long afternoon at the Meadowlands in Week 10.

Roethlisberger passed for a career-high 522 yards and six touchdowns in Sunday's wild 51-34 win against Indianapolis.

Other than the huge yardage and touchdown totals, Roethlisberger completed an astounding 40-of-49 passes. He continues to be in total sync with Antonio Brown, who had 10 receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns, but also worked in Martavis Bryant, as the rookie caught a pair of scores, showing off his size and play-making ability. Not many would have bet on Roethlisberger outperforming Andrew Luck, given the way the younger QB has played this season. The veteran Roethlisberger might have a tougher time next week against Baltimore, a team that has given him trouble in the past.

Roethlisberger completed 23-of-33 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns in the Steelers' 30-23 win against Houston on Monday night.

A third touchdown pass was called back when Antonio Brown couldn't get a second foot in bounds. Roethlisberger also ran four times for three yards, was sacked three times and lost one fumble. Big Ben has now been sacked 20 times with three lost fumbles, and it won't get any easier in Week 8 against the Colts, who are third best in the league with 21 sacks.

Roethlisberger completed 21-of-42 passes for 228 yards, with one touchdown and one interception Sunday against the Browns.

Roethlisberger connected with seven different receivers, but completed a season-low 50 percent of his passes, a considerable drop after hitting on more than 70 percent in each of the last three games. He has just two touchdowns in the last two games, and also two turnovers to lessen their impact. He's got a promising Week 7 matchup against a Texans' defense that is allowing the fifth-most passing yards per game this season, though the Jaguars and Browns' defenses that he has faced recently aren't exactly powerhouses either.

Roethlisberger completed 26-of-36 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Jaguars.

Roethlisberger did a great job of spreading the ball around, connecting with 11 different receivers, while throwing his touchdown pass to third-string tight end Michael Palmer. Roethlisberger has now gone three straight game without an interception, though he has lost a fumble two games in a row. Nevertheless, he's still been solid and will face a Browns defense in Week 6 that he burned for 365 yards in Week 1.

As usual, there are no doubts about Roethlisberger playing despite the fact that he shows up on the injury report every week.

Roethlisberger connected with seven different receivers, throwing 11 passes each to Antonio Brown and Heath Miller, who combined for 17 catches, 216 yards and three touchdowns. Roethlisberger has now thrown for five touchdowns in his last two games, while completing completing 72.8 percent of his passes. Up next is a Week 5 matchup against a Jaguars defense that is ranked dead-last against the pass this season after giving up 377 yards and three touchdowns to Philip Rivers in Week 4.
