Witten caught 4-of-6 targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Giants.
Witten found the end zone for a fourth time in the last six games, after failing to score in his first five appearances of the season. He still hasn't topped six receptions, eight targets or 70 receiving yards in any one game, but he has been pretty consistent since getting off to a slow start.

Witten had five catches on seven targets for 33 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Jaguars in London.
Witten has now scored a touchdown in alternating games since Week 6, though he's been particularly active of late, getting 22 targets in the last three weeks. Fantasy owners will have to look for an alternative in Week 11, however, as the Cowboys head out on bye before taking on the Giants in Week 12.

Witten had six catches on seven targets for 62 yards Sunday against the Cardinals.
With Tony Romo sidelined with a back injury, Witten set a season-high in receptions from backup quarterback Brandon Weeden, who relied heavily on the veteran tight end. Witten hasn't been overly productive this season, scoring only two touchdowns and failing to reach even 75 yards in a game this season, and while there is a small possibility that Romo returns next week against the Jaguars in London, Witten's fantasy value doesn't appear to be greatly affected by whoever is under center.

Witten caught 5-of-8 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Redskins.
After catching four balls for 45 yards in the first half, Witten made his lone second-half reception count, taking it 25 yards for a touchdown. It was rather surprising that he led the Cowboys in targets, as he previously hadn't topped seven targets, five receptions or 61 yards in any game this season. The touchdown was just his second in eight games, and while Witten's still capable of putting together decent performances, one big night doesn't change the reality that he's seeing far fewer looks than in recent seasons.

Witten saw just two targets on Sunday, catching both for 27 yards.
He remains Mr. Reliable when Tony Romo looks his way, but Witten's just not a big part of the Cowboys' passing attack this season. Don't be afraid to cut him loose and find a more useful tight end on the waiver wire.

Witten caught two passes on five targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.
The score, his first of the season, salvaged what would otherwise have been a quiet fantasy day. Incidentally, the TD catch was the 900th of Witten's Hall of Fame career.

Witten caught four passes on five targets for 59 yards on Sunday, becoming the third tight end in NFL history to reach the 10,000 receiving yard plateau.
He joins Tony Gonzalez and Shannon Sharpe in that elite club, and sometime in the next week or two he should pass Sharpe for second place on the all-time tight end receiving yard list. Witten's on pace for his lowest totals in targets (90), catches (61) and yards (688) since his 2003 rookie season, however, so while his achievements will almost certainly land him in the Hall of Fame someday, in the fantasy here and now Witten's become just another guy.

Witten caught all five of his targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 38-17 win over the Saints.
Witten had two catches on the opening drive but then disappeared until the end of the second half. While the five targets may not seem like much, the Cowboys only attempted 29 passes, coming in under 30 for a third consecutive week. The veteran tight end should eventually have some nice games, but his season-long upside appears somewhat limited as the co-No. 2 receiving option -- along with WR Terrance Williams -- in an offense that's been unstoppable on the ground.

Witten caught four of his five targets for 49 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams.
The Cowboys' increased focus on the running game has hit Witten the hardest so far, as not only are their fewer non-Dez Bryant targets to go around but he's also called on to block more often than he was in the past. He's still capable of turning in a big game if he gets a chance, but unless the team's offensive mix becomes more pass-happy again it might be time to stop viewing Witten as an every-week starter.

Witten caught four passes on seven targets for 32 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.
He's been fairly quiet through two weeks, as the Cowboys have hitched their wagon to DeMarco Murray and a talented young offensive line rather than Tony Romo's arm. The club figures to be in some shootouts sooner or later though, but you may want to consider Witten as more of a matchup-based play rather than an every-week starter.

Witten was targeted six times during Sunday's loss to the 49ers, but caught just two passes for 14 yards.
Tony Romo looked very rusty in Week 1 after seeing limited snaps in the preseason, so blame Witten's poor fantasy performance on his QB. He was still tied for second in targets with Dez Bryant behind Terrance Williams' seven, so despite the concerns about his age it's way too early to give up on Witten just yet.

Witten caught just one pass for 11 yards in Saturday's preseason game.
The aging warrior will still be a big part of the Cowboys' passing game this season, but second year wide receiver Terrance Williams could end up surpassing Witten as Tony Romo's second-favorite target sooner rather than later.

Witten isn't expected to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Chargers, the Dallas Morning News reports.
There are no injury concerns here, just a club monitoring the workload of a key (and aging) player.

Sun Dec 22 201317:47Jason Witten shut down by Redskins
Jason Witten caught just two passes for 13 yards in Sunday's Week 16 win at Washington.
Witten was oddly targeted just twice even though Dez Bryant saw consistent double teams. Perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised. Witten has seen three targets or less in three of the last four games and is averaging just 4.0 catches on the season. The Cowboys would be wise to get Witten more involved when they face the Eagles with a playoff spot on the line in Week 17.

Sun Dec 15 201321:24Jason Witten goes 5/71/1 in loss to Packers
Jason Witten caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown in Dallas' Week 15 loss to the Packers.
Witten took advantage of some abysmal tackling on his 25-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Witten is well off his 2012 pace in catches and yards, but now has four touchdowns over his past four games. He'll remain a mid-range TE1 for the final week of the fantasy playoffs.

Tue Dec 10 201300:45Witten catches 10-yard touchdown in loss
Jason Witten caught a ten-yard touchdown in Week 14 against the Bears.
Witten was targeted three times on the night. It was an extremely disappointing effort against a defense that struggles mightily versus opposing tight ends. Witten may have been hurt, but the team didn't report anything. James Hanna and Gavin Escobar saw more work than usual it seemed. Witten will be back on the TE1 map next week in a tasty home date with the Packers.

Thu Nov 28 201320:53Witten goes for 53 yards in Week 13 win
Jason Witten caught three balls for 53 yards in the Cowboys' Week 13 win over the Raiders.
It was a surprisingly quiet night for the entire Dallas pass game, which has now scuffled two weeks in a row following its Week 11 bye. For its part, the Raiders' defense has been fairly stingy in tight end coverage this season. Look for Witten to bounce back in a cake Week 14 matchup with Chicago.
